    *Taylor Swift ditched Spotify, protesting its free services, to join the music streaming service, Tidal, owned by rap mogul Jay-Z, according to The Verge. Jay spent $56 million to purchase the Swedish tech company Aspiro. It services are available in dozens of countries, but it only has 500,000 subscribers, 17,000 of which are on Tidal.
