You know I don’t like rumors about people dying, but I am going to put this out there, because it came from Atlanta Gossip (blame them!). They are reporting that soul singer Christopher Williams died today (Sept. 7) from and unknown illness. If you don’t know Williams, he was big in the early 90’s and appeared in the classic hit movie “New Jack City.” That movie was recently reissued, so if you want, you can check him out. He was the “pretty mutha f**ka” that Nino Brown hated. We’ll dig into this and get to the facts, because right now its pure speculation. If people are just starting these rumors to start them, please stop. Thanks.

Comment: I didn't get the email, but somebody posted it on EUR and I was immediately sceptical. I wouldn't forward any email reporting the death of a...um...celebrity without confirming it with a reputable source first. CW hasn't been a star in some years, still his death would've been reported at least in the Atlanta papers (where he apparently lives) had it been true. Shame on the person who started the rumor.

Comment: This was not a good thing to do. This haox still hurt people and the one who put this mess out there should know that. I heard about it yesterday and I googled in his name and when I did not see that it wasn;t anything about his death then I knew thta it was not true. People need to stay off the computeres so much with all this negative info and do something positive with their free time. Like helping out the people who are suffering from the aftermath of the hurricane for instance. Noone shgould take it upon themselves to keep passing along/forwarding an email like that. If you did not get it from you local radio stations then you know that it should have been a hoax. I saw right through it myself. I hope that his family will not let this rumor get the best of them but I do know that it bothered them. I hope thta there is a way that they can find out who started this rumor and punish them if they can. There ought to be a law against someone falsely putting out that someone is dead and to go to the lengths of what whomever started to send the email around.

Comment: I don't know when the last time any of you has actually seen him, but my husband with him last month and he did not have any cornrows. The last time I actually saw him was in NYC at the Beacon Theatre for the Men Cry in the Dark play, with Allen Payne, so for me it was actually very hurtful to hear information like this and it also sent alot of close people like my husband and their many friends that this man has in NY into mourning. I did not receive an email, but his friends which included my husband started hearing this rumor yesterday by word of mouth and after my husband could not get in contact with his wife or brother, it made it more believable especially after I came across a website that supposedly knew this information also. I read that amazing rumor on www.digital-djs.com, and I found that website by search under CW died news, no soon as I went back for the search again, it was gone. Now it is posted that his wife called HOT97 yesterday %*$!ed. But for all of you that claim that you are fans or really like his voice me and my husband Duck recommend you buy his album Real Men Do. It dropped in 2001 and some of his songs on there are really deep. He still has the sultry sex appeal and that understanding of true/real love going on, (Make a woman wonder what type of man she has if that's what real men do; "Take good care of you", he even has something for the spanish lovers too. :) Sorry this post is so long, but I just had to voice my opinion, or should I say facts of what we do know. Oh yeah, he is not doing that bad, to have started a rumor like this on himself, check out www.meipresents.com, which whom he was touring with in two other plays, which were excellent also!

My husband met him in Maryland at a concert with Stephanie Mills through a mutual friend in '89 and they have been friends ever since then. And about my son, I tease CW that whenever he makes an album, we produce girls, I want a boy, so I always tell him that he has to make one for just for that occasion to complete our package.

Wasn't there some story on here last week about the singer from Color Me Bad working at the tire factory ?. seriously,as long as it's honest work,though,it's all good. I was not raised to accept it and my husband was raised that if you have to put your hands on a woman then you are better off leaving her. But to say that he has only been heard of on a negative note in the last couple of years means that you only listen to what you want. When in fact he has toured in various plays with Marvelous Entertainment within the last couple of years. And a ploy to get someone to purchase a new album that no one knows actually exist, come on get real. It couldn't possibly be that serious. He has a mean voice, on album, on stage, a serious stage presence, a wonderful actor on and off the screen. As far as his music I personally feel he doesn't not get credit that he deserves, but trust he is not starving. Also if you did your research you will find it posted on E! Online and EurWeb that Wesley Snipes is supposedly the one responsible for what you are putting on CW.

Comment: LOL Good one OSUN. But yes I would definitely say he has improved since New Jack City considering that movie came out a over decade ago. But my viewing for people and how I percieve them goes beyond the T.V. screen. (Nothing personal to anyone)I am a fan of Marvelous Entertainment's work, so seeing CW act on stage was a major difference from the actor he portrayed on New Jack City. I enjoyed him as much as all the others actors and actresses in the plays, so this is not really about what he is doing and not doing. No one knows how this rumor all came about. I like him and enjoy him as an artist and that's not going to change, just like McNasty is not going to purchase his cd when this thread is done.
