Comment: yeah, i think so too. but don is a handsome actor. when he gets into the older version of miles davis the make up people are gonna have to ugly him up cause as a genius as miles was, that man looked like Stripe from the gremlins! and the sad thing was, in the early days of miles davis, he was very handsome, but when the drugs got a hold of him and turned him out, his appearance got screwed. the man looked and was absoultly scary! so work it Don Cheadle! work it, cause this may have Oscar smelling your scent and you are past due, my brotha!

I wasn't absolutely crazy about his Sammy Davis, Jr. role he did but if he does Miles he is going to have to get deep, deep into his life and soul to really get it right and do him right. He's also going to have to get that voice down packed and tight! He is a fine actor though.

Comment: WHATEVA> i think this is due respect because we have a wonderful figures that deserves to be shown on film the thing is getting the best actors to portay them and the best directors and producers to present them to us. I think Don Cheadle would be magnificent as Miles Davis and this is going to be a pivitol role for him because Miles Davis was a very complex person and a brilliant performer so i'm looking forward to how this is going to come out!

Comment: DCGG> for the record, Miles Davis was not born poor, in fact he was very well off. his father was a dentist and he sent Miles to Juliard to study music and also he did not start out ugly. in fact, he was very handsome, before the drugs, that is. when he got off of drugs his father locked him up in a house that they owned and he went through the drying out and that is how he kicked the heroin habit..

Comment: He may have been born well-off as you say, but that does not explain him putting his hands on the incredible Cicely Tyson. Who did nothing but love him and stay with him even through a coma...I wonder are they going to explain that!

Comment: Don Cheadle for Mile Davis???, c'mon y'all, Miles looked more liked a fried up-stretched out "Flav". His acting ability is way above par , and highly overlooked, but Miles Davis?? please!! I have a belt in my closet that looks more like Miles than Cheadle!!
