Comment: That's right students, protest his pervert azz. Someone like that is a disgrace to the University.

Name: coneyi
Comment: LMAO!!! They have got to show this on TV for real. Now that would be entertainment.

Name: Luke_Cage
Comment: Although he hasn't been convicted yet, heck the damn case hasn't even gone to trial as of today, the charges against Kelly are very strong and should not be taken lightly. These women have every right to protest his appearance at their school. Until he is proven innocent and cleared of any charges or malfeasance, Kelly should not be surprised by this. He may just run into this king of action at every school or arena he plans to perform at in the future.

Name: archcookies
Comment: I don't think that the university adequately answered the ladies' concerns and I am offended that people pack out this pedophile's concerts. Our people amaze me these days.

Name: ChakaTee
Comment: It's refreshing to see young people standing up for something today, especially something of this magnitude.

Name: McNasty
Comment: Activism has to start somewhere and I can't think of a more worthy cause. Had this been done before Ruh would understand that his behavior is not acceptable.

Name: NJBLKGUY
Comment: If R. Kelly was accused of having sex with a Becky, he wouldn't be permitted to even come into the state of Texas.

Name: TJthemilitant
Comment: LMAO@ NJBLKGUY..Oh Texas would let him in, just to kill his azz!..LOL

Name: coneyi
Comment: NJBLKGUY- So True! I completely agree w/you and TJthemilitant. This is getting ridiculous, I mean so many other people have gone to trial and it's over by now. He's able to tour and keep dropping CD's.

Name: coesmo
Comment: I don't blame these women for protesting...It amazes me how lightly some people take these carges against him....

Name: MidwestMan1
Comment: Wasn't these charges brought up against him before the War in Iraq? Hell Saddam done went to trial before Ruh, I can't believe Chicago's legal system is that backed up.

Name: DCGG
Comment: I applaude these Queens for standing up for what's right - hopefully their activisim will ignite the fire in others!! Kudos!

Name: CoCoCaramel
Comment: Things that will probably happen before R. Smelly goes to jail... 1. Bin Laden will be found... 2. Weapons of Mass Destruction will turn up in Iraq... 3. George W. will become Rhodes Scholar...If those were little white girls R would already be in jail bending down to pick up the soap...Society doesn't seem to care about crimes that are committed against black women you see it everyday on the news when a white girl is raped, beaten or killed we are bombarded with the details until her attackers are brought to justice when it is a black woman we get hardly a mention...I applaud those young ladies at Texas U for taking a stand against that pervert...

Name: beboyz
Comment: As Malcolm X said this is the chickens coming home to roost. Its about time someone has stood up against "short eyes" prison lingo for a child molester. I was so disgusted about how the black community has continued to support this man. In the ideal world he would not be making a dime I dont care how talented he is. Its similar to when talented film director Roman Polanski raped that little girl and had to flee from America. They were going to put his azz away under the prison so he escaped and moved to Europe.

Name: REDD
Comment: LMAO NJBLKGUY! Texas would've fried his azz over Becky Bush!!! LMAO. I'm glad to see young African American women stand up for what's right. I'm from Chicago and the majority of us (grown folks)did not support him before the tape. He was known for doing crazy SH*TT!!!

Name: ThoseDamnQues
Comment: Who do you think the UT football team and the basketball team date -->>> "Becky"!

Name: ThoseDamnQues
Comment: So one more fox in the hen house is not going to bother the hillbillies!!! Albeit a perverted fox!! Heck they marry young down there in Texas!!

Name: OSUN
Comment: ThoseDamnQues, you are right about the athletes dating Beckys but that is the one time the powers that be make an exception. Because one thing they love over becky is their football. Football trumps pank trim in most southern states.

Name: Southernbelle
Comment: That's right sisters stand your ground. At the least, this will make Kelly realize he's not fooling everyone. ThoseDamnQues>You're kidding, right?

Name: Thunny
Comment: Sad thing is the show is still sold out so the protest has fallen on deaf ears. I'm sure the university stands to make money from the performance, so that's the bottom line.

Name: detroitgee
Comment: I don't understand why it is taking so long for him to go to court. The underage girl that he had sex with will have an AARP card before R. Kelly gets to court. If he wasn't in the entertainment business he would be in jail registered as child molester.

Name: Platinum
Comment: Even though the show will go on R Kelly is getting exactly what he deserves. Represent sisters and keep speaking out, every time I see a picture of this perverted fool I just wanna throw darts at it!

Name: OSUN
Comment: R Kelly is coming here sometime this month and I can't believe how it is promoted on the radio and how women in particular are like "I cant wait to go see RKelly". It really disgusts me. Somebody asked me if I wanted to see Kelly and I was like Hell to da naw. I dont knowingly support chesters and the continuation of their chocolate factories.

Name: coneyi
Comment: Thunny exactly!

Name: TJthemilitant
Comment: Same here OSUN..I will not contribute to paying that preverted B*tch's legal fees!

Name: goodnplenty1957
Comment: maybe R.Kelly and Michael Jackson can go out on on a double-date. STEVIE WONDER can see both of them are sick.

Name: DallasDiva
Comment: Okay why even invite him to your campus, and UT of all places. But sadly those protests won't change a thing. And what the hell is he gonna sing, do he have anything new out????

Name: goodnplenty1957
Comment: Ms dallas diva> who knows..he might turn it into a house play..TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET part 18th (where he gets caught with a brownie or a girl scout). i know thats sad.

Name: chelle73
Comment: same old bitching and moaning...

Name: MotownBrown
Comment: Agree with all...they should protest. Peep, why do the letters of this organization say F.O.C.U!?) Priceless.

Name: beegirl
Comment: Goodnplenty, LOL. You're right. He could be up there a good 2 or 3 hours just singing Trapped in the Closet only.

Name: Exmun
Comment: CoCoCaramel, I don't think this is about society not caring for Black women. Kelly has not gone to trial, because the prosecution in Ill. can't prove the charges unless and until the girl speaks up. My understanding has been that she AND her family members (parents) refuse to cooperate due to them being on the R-uh's payroll and such. To me if SHE don't speak up there is no case. And this isn't so much society's fault... its her's and her family's fault that the R-uh is still running around the country doing his thing.

Name: asize12
Comment: ***deep sigh*** R. Kelly makes my flesh crawl...period. He is the scum of the earth. It's crazy cuz I used to be a fan prior to all this mess. Now, I REFUSE to support him, his music or anything else that has to do with him. I just have a few questions for y'all...Why the hell should I support someone that repeatedly has sex with young girls? Why should I keep his a*ss outta jail? Why does this fool still have people supporting him? Who are these people? Why, why, WHY do his "fans" make up excuses like "well, I just like his music, I don't care what he does in his private life". or one of my favorites, "that girl on the tape was just fast, she ain't have no bitness taking her fast a*ss over there" WTF???? Ummm, excuse me FANS but, who's the adult in these situations? This bastard knows what the ef he's doing and it's obvious that he has no remorse. He knows that he's rich and he'll get off, so he does whateva he wants. This is just amazing to me how this SOB is still walking around like he ain't done jack. It's a PROVEN FACT that he was married to Aaliyah, so what more proof do folks need? I am SO proud of those folks in Texas that are protesting, more power to them. It just lets him & everyone else know that this type of behavior is absolutely unacceptable. R. Kelly was just here in St. Louis last week and it's really sad that he had a sold-out concert. This %*$!('s tickets sold out in 6 hours!!! WTF???? Then his ignit a*ss was just given some type of Life-Time Achievement award on the Soul Train Awards...Don Cornelius must be SMOKIN'! That is such a disgrace. It's just sad how this world supports crap like this just because they "like his music". I find myself still arguing with his "fans" because it bothers me that they are trying to defend this scum. I hope his a*ss gets locked up UNDER the jail!!!!

Name: beboyz
Comment: Remember that R-Ruh was callig himself the Pied Piper. In the chidrens story the Pied piper played his magic "pipe" and led all the town's children away. That is really sick when you think about it.

Name: OSUN
Comment: chelle what did you expect judging by the topic. You should have avoided it if it was going to bother you.

Name: DJHOT5
Comment: WHAT KIND OF BULL IS THIS?HOW IS THERE POINT TOO RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT SEXUAL VIOLENCE TO WOMAN AND THIS BROTHER AIN'T BEAT ON NO WOMAN? WY IS IT ALWAYS SO FEW TRY TOO TELL SO MANY WHATS GOOD OR BEST FOR THEM.....YA'LL IN COLLEGE SO, YOU WOULD HOPE YOUR SMART ENOUGH TO MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICE.....THE SHOW WILL BE PACKED IF NOT SOLD OUT ANYWAY!

Name: Exmun
Comment: DJHOT5, Statutory rape IS sexual violence against a (young) woman. Any time a greasy thirty-something wants to push up on a 14 year old... to me (AND the law, that's sexual violence and a crime).

Name: shan
Comment: R.Kelly has is an extremely sick person. I know everyone has sinned, but it's mighty hard for me to take up for a man who would perform sexual acts on children. He needs help and some serious jail time. His fans should stop buying his music and the industry shouldn't be awarding him with shyt.

Name: hotgirl76
Comment: Okay I read everyone's comments about this situation. I'm a female and will honestly say that I like R. Kelly's music. The way I see it if those ladies are going to protest they will protest, but like someone said the concert will either still be packed or it will sellout. The one thing everyone is failing to realize is it has to do with personal choices, it's no different than all the protests regarding abortions, or whether a person chooses to smoke, do drugs, commit criminal acts it has to do with choices we all make everyday. Someone mentioned that until the courts have proved him innocent she will not support him or something like that. But hasn't always been innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent. I don't ever hear about many protests that gone on at some of these rappers concerts, that have been convicted, busted, and accused of shooting people, and killing people whether it has gone to trial or not and whether they are found guilty or innocent. And these are people that our young boys and men look up to and admire, but what has been done about that? So are we saying that it's okay for people like The Game, 50 cent, Cassidy, P. Diddy, Snoop Dogg etc to have continued support because they didn't rape a girl. Mystikal was guilty of rapping his hair stylist, but I bet you that when he is released and puts out an album, people will buy it. Or what about C-Murder, he was convicted of killing a 16 year old boy, but if he gets released he will still be supported. A person can like a talent about someone, but may not like the person. Why, because it's all about choices. Everyone has done some type of dirt in their lives, it just matters if you get caught. Most of you should know that most people that are raped/molested are too ashamed/afraid of speaking out because of the embarrassment they may feel or feel that they are at fault. And the only way that you are going to put people like R. Kelly, Kobe Bryant, Mystikal, Michael Jackson and many others behind bars for good is to reach out to those people that have been affected, because if they don't speak up there almost isn't a case!

Name: Winn30344
Comment: At least MJ stood trial and was found not guilty by a jury of his peers; this pervert hasn't even stood trial.

Name: asize12
Comment: >>hotgirl76, like I mentioned before, I used to like R. Kelly and appreciate him as an artist but I just refuse to continue to support a pedophile. I refuse to support Mystikal, M.J., or anyone that commits despicable crimes such as statutory rape. I admit, I liked "Step in the Name of Love" but I refused to buy it because it ain't doin' nothin' but keeping this pervert out of jail by making him richer. A crime against a child is just unforgivable. I'm not saying that adults deserve to be victims of crimes, but it's just a harder pill to swallow when it's a child.

Name: pappaswifey
Comment: Why are we so forgiving to a child molester????? What's the difference with the Catholic Priests? When the were busted we were so utterly disgusted. We talked and talked about them until our Black skin turned blue. But when it comes to an illiterate singer/song writer we have compassion for him. Pervert Priests = Kill Them Pervert Singer = Give him another platinum cd. Go figure.

Name: OSUN
Comment: hotgirl, you are right it is a personal choice. Just like the majority of us on this thread make a personal choice not to support an "alledged" pedophile, you and others like you make the personal choice to support an "alledged" peodiphile. Your innocent until proven guilty argument doesn't work here because the majority of us have seen the tape and so there is no question that he is guilty. Lets not even talk about his proclivity to have sex with minors beginning with Aaliyah, and the numerous out of court settlements that have been made. It is your preference to knowingly support a man who has sex with minors because you enjoy his music. Just dont make excuses, just be aware.

Name: DonJuan
Comment: It's about time the females got up and said something. Stop dripping in your panties and realize that this guy is NOT GOOD! Well done UT ladies.

Name: nightshift
Comment: Soembody call Oprah!!!!!, if she was in on this, his goose would be cooked. Why is it taking so long to bring this man to trial only to let him loose, and he will be let loose, because his crimes were against "women of color", the same women who are in his videos grinning like it's Xmas.

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: That heffa's momma is even sicker. I can't believe y'all screamin' on R. First of all, he ain't kidnapped the kid, or brought her to his house. How'd she get there? Please. that kid's mother and father is just as wrong.
