Comment: Ms Ellie was a formidable, stallwarth matron. Where's the connection here? I see another hot mess coming down the pike!

Comment: Ok MTV is really running out of show ideas. The "Yo Mama" show sounds so stupid. That is why I hardly watch MTV because of all of their dumb shows.

Comment: Today's movies have gone down the toilet. First of all, I don't see a need to remake Dallas. And if they MUST do so, J-Lo as Sue Ellen? Aw Hell Nah!! John Travolta as JR? Come on, man. And the Wilson dude as Bobby Ewing? GIve me a break!!! Some things need to be left alone. I know that there are many of writers out there with original stories. Why must Hollywood keep doing remakes? Can we say, straight to DVD?

Comment: I need to be the casting coach of this Dallas remake. Being the avid Dallas fan, Jlo is NOT Sue Ellen. She could play Lucy Ewing if she was younger. You need someone sophisticated who can play a sophiscated drunkard like Catherine Zeta Jones. I like JLo but sophisticated she is not and I dont think she can pull that off acting.

Comment: Chakatee whoever is making this remake obviously doesn't know or understand Dallas. I could see Vinny Barbarino more like Jock than JR. But his Italian behind has no business playing a cow poke from Texas. He can't pull it off.

Comment: They can forget it with these t.v. shows now being made for feature film. They don't work, and if this one bombs at the box office, John Travolta's film career will be done for good, and J.Lo will be a laughing stock - they should think very carefully about accepting roles for this so called movie. Dallas is over, just like Bewitched was over, and all of the other t.v. movies. I guess since Dukes of Hazzard was a moderate success, they are going to just bring all of them out. How about a Good Times movie - dynomite!!! Now who could do that role......

Comment: OSUN I'll wrestle you for casting duties because I'm a big Dallas fan too...JLO couldn't play Sue Ellen nor Lucy Ewing and John Travolta can't play JR nor Jock. Lucy Ewing would be better played by Jessica Simpson who is young, dumb and blond like Lucy Ewing who was played by Charlene Tilton. Catherine Zeta Jones would make a good Sue Ellen...I'll give you that one. Billy Bob Thornton would be good as Ray Krebbs. Alec Baldwin would make a better JR than Travolta. Hell, even, George Clooney would be a better JR than Travolta. Ben Affleck, Josh Duhamel (TV's Las Vegas), or Matthew McConaughey (an actual Texan) would all make better Bobby Ewings than Luke Wilson. If Hollywood is going to make a time honored and revered TV classic like Dallas, it's damn essential to get the cast right. And what they have now is NOT it.

Comment: Yo mama is so stupid...she would actually sit down and watch that dumb%*$ show. And please stop with the remakes, Hollywood. I know quite a few writers who would love to have their stories told on the big screen. But, no, you would rather think of a way to get us to buy tickets to Punky Brewster the Movie or some other nonsense.

Comment: Hollywood is about profit and the suits still think that casting a major star will cause ticket buyers to part with their hard earned bucks. What we the ticket buyers need to do is what we been doing, not going to see these sad and tacky movies.

Comment: MZ Tee I think Billy Bob would make a better Digger Barnes. Your choice for Lucy Ewing is excellent. Alec Baldwin would make a decent JR, but I just don't buy him as a Texan. I need to do some research on that and get back with you. Luke Wilson would make an okay Gary Ewing. However I do think that Shirley Maclaine would make a good Ms. Ellie.

Comment: i agree with both osun and mztee in regard to the dallas castings. i am an avid dallas fan- i have all the dvds and i can not see john as jr or j.lo as sue ellen. zeta-jones WOULD be phenomenol as sue ellen. i don't know what they're thinking casting luke wilson. FOR WHAT? matthew would make a much better choice. and isn't he from texas? as for pam, if they do bring the character back, if they're open enough to cast a latina as sue ellen, who so obviously wasn't in the tv show, they should cast a black pam. :-)how about ms.berry? honestly, i like j.lo but she's a moderate actress and i can't see her playing a damn drunk and a texan at that. i do think jessica isn't a good enough actress to pull off lucy's emotional tirades. i think beyonce' would make a steamy lucy if they wanted to go that route. a multi-ethnic dallas movie? that would really shake things up in southfork!
