Comment: You ain't never lied MrsPhoenix...while this sounds like a great movie - let's be truthful - black africans and arab africans cannot stand one another period - I know from experience that the Arabs in France (with their lighter skin) get preferentrial treatment. What I'd like to see is a movie dealing with the racism and caste system within the black community (african, black american, arab, afro-latino, etc) as a whole....

Comment: At least it's a start and France needs to wake up unless they want to endure more rebellions from these young folks like what occured there last summer. If it hadn't been for the young black folks in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee in the 60s, we wouldn't be beneficiaries of the affirmative action policies today. Hopefully, this film will spark dialogue and a grassroots effort for both ethnicities to work together on a common cause. Because if they don't, they'll continue to be disenfranchised and unemployed. This is what good filmmaking can do be a catalyst for change.

Comment: Why should thier be affirmative action in France? Why does everyone think that the world should hand things the way the US does? If you work hard you get a good job. If you study hard then you get into a good school and get a good job. Why should you get it based on your color or nationality. Because they do it in the US does not mean it is right or that it even works!

Comment: > Mcoreo you would have a good point if the world was perfect. The fact is the French openly discriminates against north Africans. How can someone get a good job if no one will hire them. And since when has the US just handed things out to anyone.

Comment: We do have affirmative action in the US, but in this political climate, it's not very effective. The bosses' child, brother, sister, or next door neighbor still gets the job instead of a qualified Black person.
