Comment: Wouldn't matter whether he was funny or not because there are so many other things wrong with this madness. We don't need another nationally syndicated show and there is still a huge market for local radio. Everything doesn't have to be syndicated and since WHUR was doing fine locally up against TJs show there was no need for this change! It's been two weeks and I don't like Steve's show. Nothing local here!

Comment: I have to agree. I feel that enough is enough with the syndication thing. Tom Joyner is representing pretty well and Harvey is a poor copy. I've listened to him a few times and have changed the station BACK to Joyner's Morning Show each time. He cannot even begin to compare! first I honestly think it is a waste of air time. Although in some venues, Steve is funny; on weekday mornings on the air, to me...he is not. He only leaves a lot to be desired.

Comment: ChiChi3300, I did the same exact thing in Birmingham -- I tried to give Steve Harvey the benefit of the doubt but besides talking too much, I wasn't feeling the other co-hosts and I can't tolerate the poor quality of the show (sounds like he's in his basement). Like Chicago and DC our morning show was doing great up against Tom Joyner so there shouldn't have been a reason to change -- there should be a nationwide protest - NO MORE STEVE HARVEY IN THE MORNING!!!

Comment: The market will bear out. Not listening to Steve Harvey will seal the deal with his removal after a few months. This is the rsult of a few companies owning multiple radio stations. A cost issue. I really don't understand the local issue, there are so many venues to get that type of information. On a side note, I do not understand the Tom Joyner phenomenon, he basically does the same show everyday, he is a hard listen for me, really boring.

Comment: And does he get to choose the music that is played? If I hear Jill Scott, Ron Isley or Anthony Hamilton one more morning, I'm going to puke!!!

Comment: I absolutely agree with all of you. I am sick of these national syndicated shows myself. Steve Harvey is arrogant and Tom Joyner is not too far from him. Don't leave out Michael Baisden too. I am from Detroit and I like the locals better than these stars.

Comment: The FM format is quickly dying as far as I am concerned. If you want local morning shows, you're going to have to turn change to dail to AM.
