Comment: DJ makes a distinction between blacks and what he refers to as House %*$!(@.. I'm interested to know HIS definition of the word %*$!(@. Overall, I found the article to be interesting as it certainly offered a different perspective.

Comment: Hey Tee, I read the article you sent me today (I haven't gotten to the links yet). Good to hear from you - thanks again for putting me on Octavia Butler, I'm sure you know that she passed away recently - RIP.

Comment: What up Daryl?! I believe the same article I read today, in some respects, is a candidate for application of the line of reasoning you represent in this article. As a matter of fact, many of the articles that I read concerning, let's say, "Black men", fall comfortably in line with this category. In connection to the ill-evidence and over-exaggeration you expose, ownership is very important because it dictates, colours, if you will, what is manufactured (often fabricated) by outlets that produce tangible and intangible goods and services for human consumption. For our lack of "real" ownership, we continue to be at the mercy of the info-tainment that is created and recycled to form broad-brushed opinion and re-program (and in some cases, de-program) the psyche of the status-quo and disenfranchised alike. Daryyl, I feel your disgust...actually, I completely share it along with you. I,too, have grown weary of the lack of critical thinking and rehabilitative dialogue although I still check for you but rarely comment because in doing so, I've found time to be wasted. So, bottom-line, it is up to us and others that have put aside pride, ignorance and ego and become conscious to the "global" reality in which we live. The same f*cked up %*$! that goes on in Money, Mississippi is cracking in LA, happening in the suburbs and city of Paris, villages and urban areas of Africa, the Caribbean, Vennezuela - dam-n, I think the point rings clear. It was the Geto Boys who said it back in the early 90s, "...the world is a ghetto". So 'keep skribblin', as I (used to) like to say (euphemistically)...and real ones will keep reading. Real change is inevitable as it's really the only thing routine. Peace...

Comment: Oldsoul, I have not been motivated to respond here in quite a moment. There has been too much on my plate to engage with unenlightened who only want to convince me that I am an %*$!(@!. But your words have resonated with me strongly. I take it seriously that a few of us truly have put aside pride, ignorance and ego to become conscious to a global reality. It’s the reason I keep "scribblin" (which is an expression you use that I like by the way). Just like you and I connect with each other, there are more of us who are connecting and we are also active. The cool part about the cycle and circle of life is that the ignorant may seem to outnumber us now, but as they get old tired and die off, the next wave can be enlightened and activated. The struggle continues.
While I’m here, MzTee’s, my definition of House N iggers, is the same definition it has always had. The word is ugly and negative and when I use it, I mean it to be ugly and negative. The difference is that I don’t think that someone stops being Black when they sellout and become a House N igger, they are just exhibiting detrimental characteristics that even Brother Malcolm outlined. I don’t make a distinction between Blacks and House N iggers, it’s just that some Blacks are House N iggers.
