Comment: the article i read about mr mayes a couple of months also stated that he was asleep at the time with his 2 year old daughter. if someone busts up in your house without announcing who they are you are in your right to defend yourself and loved ones. this is just another example of a gross miscarriage of justice. until we come together to fight this shyt and all other cases where excessive sentencing and wrongful convictins are handed down it will continue. we must pick our battles and fighting stupid stuff like steve harvey replacing peeps on the radio and things of this nature does nothing to benefit us or advance our causes. if it doesn't hit close to home it doesn't matter but once it does we want everybody to come to our defense but no one will becaue they'll be too busy protesting south park, steve harvey, etc. "POWER TO THE PEOPLE".

Comment: Amen to your post. I'm just ashamed that more people aren't responding to this story with the same outrage (as you stated)about Steve Harvey or even R. Kelley. Some posters berate Eurweb saying they post fluff pieces, etc. but when they do stories like this...

Comment: I'm surprised civil liberties organizations haven't used this case to challenge no knock warrants. These warrants can be issued without a name and the police do not have to announce themselves until they're inside the dwelling. If you don't like a neighbor you can anonymously accuse them.
