Comment: Mothership most all of Sean Paul's songs sound the same and that is what gets on my nerves . I like his song "Temperature" because of the beat.

Comment: Ericsgirl, I can't stand that racket in my ears. All of his shyt, you're right, sounds the same. Now, E-40, that's one linquistically tight dude. I be rollin', but I understand what he says. I love how he flips it. CTFU!

Comment: Sean Paul, racket? Mothership you must be old and don't listen to reggae music on the regular. All of Sean's music DOESN'T sound the same. Only a person who doesn't listen to reggae on the regular would say something of that nature.

Comment: Testic, age ain't got nothing to do with it. It's called taste and my taste don't run with a buncha bangin' and screechin in my ears. All of dude's shyt sounds the same to me. That's why I don't listen to it on the regular. It's noise pollution!

Comment: You're right, age doesn't have a damn thing to do with it.You know that is just me talkin' stupid. Check this out Mothership, if you don't listen to Sean P on the regular, chances are you listen to his songs that are played on the radio/t.v. I will give you some credit, the do sound similar, but not the same. Listen to his albums and you will see that ALL of his MUSIC does not sound the same.
Take this for example, does "I'm Still In Love With You" sound like "Temperature"? No it doesn't, not in any way. Acoording to you it does, because you said ALL of his shyt sounds the same and that clearly is not the case. Ya DIG.

Comment: Testic, I haven't heard his CD's just as you said, on the videos and radios and that's enough for me and I usually turn from that. I ain't venturin' no further, so he can blow out my shyt and I won't really be able to hear. Feel me?

Comment: I hear you Mother. It's cool, you're not a fan of his music and you don't have to be. Don't you think your statement %*$essment that ALL of his stuff sounds the same is grim?

Comment: Considering I'm from the Yay Area (Bay Area) it's refreshing to see E-40 get his shine on. Unfortunately, a lot of what we do in the Yay has been copied and outright stolen from us from other artists who end up taking credit for its origination. For example, WE started the fa'shizzle that Snoop is given so much credit for. E-40 was the first to pop his collar in a video (check MTV's my block) yet you have Diddy runnin around like he's the ultimate collar popper. The Ying Yang fools tried to put out a group called the Muzicans (or some stupid spelling of it) with a song called Goin Dumb which is what we do as apart of they Hyphy Movement. So although some people have negative things to say about E-40 he was doin the fast talking before Twista and Snoop. He deserves all he’s getting right now. Yaaaay Areeeeaaa!

Comment: Dang, they do, did the same thing to D.J. Hollywood. Hollywood called the turntables the "wheels of steel," named rap Hip, Hop, created and took rap to another level, but you have folk runnin' round hollerin' about they coined the phrase hip/hop and all that; even lying the the hip/hop curator of the Smithsonian. Myself and everybody else knew better. It was D.J. Hollywood, so the truth will eventually come to light.

Comment: But you know what Mothership... I really don’t mind when people use it, it’s when they misuse it that makes me angry. For example, I once enjoyed Snoop a lot. But once he izzled every damn word in his lyrics, I started to hate his stuff. I don’t even listen to him anymore although Drop It Like It’s Hot was my bedroom anthem between me and my husband. Then when the Ying Yangs start doing stupid stuff with Hip Hop and you get D4L slaughter the the culture, it turns me all the way off. IMO—E-40 is a real lyrical dude simply because he can switch things up and you pretty much know what he’s talking about. Now I haven’t always liked his stuff when I didn’t understand it but I have a teenager now who keeps me tuned into what he’s saying. Plus that Tell Me When To Go video kills. The dancers, the beat and that damn Keak is a cutie.

Comment: One of my girlfriends has a blog http://bayareaconnections.blogspot.com/ and it's really good. I've learned a lot from that site even though they don't have a lot of old school stuff tha I'd prefer but at least it's a start in givin us Yay Area folks what the industry wouldn't.
