Comment: Sometimes Spike's mouth is really toxic - like he dosen't aways use good or common sense. I'd like to see him continue to grow professionally in his craft because he has the vision in some of his past films, and not so in others. Good luck, Spike. I'll check out this movie this weekend.

Comment: Speaking of flim makers, I caught this program on BET J (used to be BET Jazz) in which they aired several independent short films by blk flim makers. It was on from 8-10. It was pretty interesting. Definitely worth checking out.

Comment: Probably see this this weekend. Might be Spike's first 75 mil film. As far as Spike hatin', I got nuthin' but love for the brother because most times he's telling the truth (that's part of the strength of attending/graduating from an HBCU: exposure to the unadulterated truth). I did for a minute, though, expect him to clown on Tyler Perry for coonin'. On another note, sorry to hear about your leg, Blackman. Take it easy and get well.

Comment: If anyone gets a chance to read Spike Lee's book; "That's My Story, and I'm Sticking To It", do so..it is very good....It's like a "behind the scenes" of all of his movies..Very cultivating!..He even goes into his tumultuous(sp) relationships with his jazz musician father, and his sister Joie..

I saw part of that interview last night but was looking at Everybody hates Chris (which was good last night) but I'll check it out this weekend because I know TVone will run it again. My sister bought that book TJ and the heffa keeps saying "i ain't finished yet..i'll give it to you when i'm finished". She said it was good also.

Comment: Personally, I believe the only really good movie he did with Denzel was Malcolm X. I loved Denzel in the role but I think Spike's direction to center stage, even overshadowing the acting. I think the WORST thing about X was actually Spike. He should have casted this role for someone else. I've said this in other posts: Spike, needs to shut the F*ck up and get behind the camera. If he was working more and not shooting off at the mouth then maybe more people would listen to him.

I wouldn't have him any other way, and for those who think he needs to shut up or he is not relevant, why are people always calling on him for an opinion, a lecture series or whatever, this has been ongoing so I get the impression many people DO listen to him. As far as his movies, some of them I have not liked but they were never boing. Keep on doing you Spike!
