It wasn't when the rumors started -- Robyn (who wore a dress at the wedding ceremony), quickly changed into a suit for the reception. The rumors got squelched around Body Guard time, and just before the wedding -- when people learned of her "beard" --oops fiance to be Bobby.
Anywho. the "rumor" is that Robyn left b/c of the whole drug issue. It's been a few years, but definitely after the "your love is my love" album, sometime before the flop she had. btw it wasn't a bad album, but if it don't sell 5 mill, it's a flop:)

R Kelly's family member is speaking up too. I for one DO NOT belive that family loyalty (keeping secrets) outweighs the need to keep the person and/or other innocent people from getting hurt.
