Comment: I didn't read this I was just wondering who asked? Is anyone that interested in this fluff? It also occurs to me, being as though I don't believe in hollywood romance or marriage - does she realize how overwhelmingly stupid she's gonna look when the ball player drop kicks that azz in favor of the next new flavor? Comment: I agree Ednamae. I just think Eva is a victim of a little overexposure right now. Even if things don't work out with her and Tony, she'll have staying power. I don't care about all of that. I'm just glad to know there's a brain behind the "beauty".

Comment: I noticed with EUR that since JLo, they have slowly continued to incorporate articles on latina women in their news reporting - not that much with the men, but with the women the most. Eva is determined - even though I have never watched her t.v. show, I remember her when she was on Young & Restless for a period - bet the women on that show, including Victoria Rowell are still scratching their heads about her.

Comment: I saw her interview on E!television with Tony Parker. He spoke very little. But when he did speak he was adamant about the fact that he wasn't ready to marry her and that if her mother asks him a hundred times then her would tell her "no" one hundred times. Eva is 31 and he is 24 and she is publicly saying that she is having to teach him because he has no experience as a lover. He seemd cooler than a cucumber and she seemed madly in love and anxious to get married. When asked if they were soul mates he said he didn't know and she said she hopes so. She and the media continue to reference Parker as French instead of Black. She has said that she hasn't told her grandmother that he is Black, preferring to reference him as French instead. When they went to his home, he showed a picture of himself and two brothers- they looked like the typical Black family to me. There was absolutely no mention and no photos of his parents. It appears that Eva is trying to pass Tony as something other than a Black Man simply because his black azz was born and raised in France.

Most people of color, who are born in other countries, do not refer to themselves as black, but, by the nation they were born and raised in. "Black" was a term that was born out of Amerikkka - and most black americans over the last 50 years have referred to themselves as black, until the "African American" concept was introduced as another label to place on people of african descent who were born in America - who knows what it will be next. I know many people who refer to themselves as black, and not African Americans at all.

Comment: Gurlfriend- You are right. But it was EVA who stated that she was more comfortable referencing him as French to her grandmother in Mexico than she was telling her that he was Black. French or not, when the grandmother sees him she is going to see a Black Man.

Comment: Harriet Eva likes that she's sleeping with a black man, you know - the big benefit - but she sure as hell doesn't want to be identified as dating one and is embarrassed and probably scared to broach the subject with her grandmother. When you think about it - she doesn't live with her grandmother and while I know we all like to please our elders, sometimes it's just not possible. Tony on the other hand better be listening and paying attention to this woman - if she can't deal with the black part of him (which is probably the biggest) she shouldn't be dealing with any of him. Gurlfrand I am one of the ones that identify my self as black american - I am not a native of Africa which is what African Americans are and they resent that some of us refer to ourselves as African - we are american.

Comment: Every time I hear a sportscaster refer to Tony Parker, it is mentioned that he's hittin' Eva, like Eva is the ultimate prize. She's cute and all, and I liked her when she was on Y&R (she's too spoiled on "Desperate Housewives"), but, I'd be MUCH more jealous of Tony Parker if he was pounding India.Arie...PEACE.

Comment: You know I saw a headline somewhere the other day where she stated that she wants people to know that she has brains and is not just all beauty. Well what women with a "brainy" mind would settle for having a baby out of wedlock for a man? I just thought her statement about wanting to have his illegitimate child is another bad message to young women: Get him, get pregnant! I am finding her to be quite annoying and inconsistent in the matter of her ability to cope with her boyfriends ethnicity. Seems to me if you love the man then come hell or high water you just tell your people!
