Comment: ...I just keep thinking 'bout Friday...Debo, Debo got robbed...I'm glad dudes airight, but this is kinda funny...."What ya'll got on my drank" Debo got jacked...

Name: ELSBABY
Comment: Did they say "Break yo'self Fool?" Okay this is not funny, I am glad he is okay and they only took material items.

Name: jazzfan
Comment: >ELSBABY: Trust me, as one who has had to look down the barrel before, they took more than material things. Once you get robbed at gunpoint you don't feel the same again.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: i'm glad he was alright, but could he have over taken the robber? well,,i guess not, not when a gun is pointing at you.

Name: ELSBABY
Comment: Hey Jazzfan *wink* sorry to hear that.

Name: DCGG
Comment: his publicist let this out knowing he only gets the thug, gangster type roles...I wonder what impact this will have on his lil career?

Name: jazzfan
Comment: >DCGG: He's an actor! Do you think the actors that play superheroes on the screen really believe that they can fly, dodge or deflect bullets and swing from webs? Reel life is not real life. He did the smart thing. It's only rappers that feel like it will hurt their street cred if they don't act as hard on the streets as they do on their cd's.

Name: Thunny
Comment: Only rappers, huh, jazzfan? *I love generalizations*

Name: Bertie
Comment: Since the purpose of the event was to highlight violence in our community, why wouldn't he make public the robbery. That puts an exclamation point on what he's trying to do for the community. And I think all entertainers are concerned on some level with their public persona--whether it be 50 cent on the thug/gangster persona, or Jaime Foxx on the super ladies man/I'm not gay persona--so its not just rappers.

Comment: that's a dayum shame

Comment: CTFU@Elsbaby ... yous a fool

Comment: Tiny Lister probably didn't respond violently for 2 reasons. One is that it would be stupid to respond that way and risk your life for material things that can be easily replaced. 2. As a christian that was there for ministry purposes he probably wanted everyone to leave alive and most importantly for those young men to see his witness. Tiny was in Angola Prison a few days ago ministering to the prisoners and compelling them to give their lives to Christ. He has also just finished work on the new film One Night with the King. The story of Esther. I have so much admiration and respect for how he has changed his life.

Comment: any boy can be a man w/ a gun in his hand. would this robbery have happened w/o the gun? the evil is everywhere. 1love.

Name: BigBlackRod
Comment: Man! They robbed DEEBO! What is this world comin' to? PEACE.

Name: My2Pennies
Comment: Carrying a gun DOES NOT make you a man.

Name: McNasty
Comment: My2 you took the words - any boy can be a man with a gun in his hands - sick thought - even sicker that someone thinks weapons make you manly.

Name: jazzfan
Comment: Young boyz don't think like that. Back in the day your weapons were your hands, and we could see who was really hard. And win or lose, you could be friends or hate each other the next day, but at least you'd still be alive.

Comment: @Boot. Not tryin to put you or anybody else getting their clown on blast but this is kind of close to my heart. Besides being L.A. born and bred, I work not far from this restaurant (which had really nice decor last time I was there - a real contrast to the neighborhood in which its located) and glad its still there because a lot of Black-owned business aound here are going under. The other thing is I've met Tiny and he's a nice person. Out here you see a lot of celebs and find that the ones that are polite and know how to conduct themselves are the ones with staying power. Also, you gotta give some cred to those who are not afraid to "come to the 'hood" to do business. This location is not far from where Garrett Morris (Stan from Martin)got jacked several years ago.

Comment: ELSBABY..... I just spit out my water when I read your post

Name: McNasty
Comment: LMAO Elsbaby!

Name: Train
Comment: I'm sorry that he was robbed and more then likely it was by someone that looked like us, what a gaddayum shame. If I was him I would just say "f'uck it" and abandon the effort because living most of my life in l.a. the violence isn't going to stop anytime soon. We have to decide if we really want the violence to stop because everytime the police do their job then some so called "leaders" are whining and b!tching about it. It all starts at home.

Name: bigboyhighflyer
Comment: That's the reason why we don't get the respect from white people. Because we hold our own communities hostage. Weak %*$ fools.

Name: CrenshawQueen
Comment: Being from the neighborhood, there have been things that have happened before around H & B's. Hopefully, they won't consider moving it. This could have happened in Beverly Hills (and it has) . They'll just have to add more security. Any given day there are Bentley coupes, 500's and the like in that tight %*$ parking lot. They just need to watch more carefully.

Name: thinker
Comment: I wonder if he valet parked? I live 10 blocks from H and B's high azz resturant. (I paid 25.00 for a plate of ettouffe(sp) there one evening a month ago). BTW, we see alot of celebs in there, holding court, having meetings, etc...

Name: WRAPITUP
Comment: GLAD HE DIDN`T GET HURT.HAVING A GUN DOES NOT MAKE YOU A MAN NOR DOES IT REALLY KEEP YOU SAFE.WE HAVE THIS TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN OUR OLD AGE.THE KIDS TODAY CANNOT POSSIBLY BE MY NEXT PRESIDENT OR CONGRESSMAN,BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL KILLING EACH OTHER OFF AND ROBBING EVERYBODY IN SITE. THIS WILL NEVER GET BETTER BECAUSE ALL OF THE CARING ONES HAVE GIVEN UP.

Name: shag11
Comment: This %*$! is just ridiculous. The man calls a summit to assist, and becomes a victim of what he seeks to change. And so many of us make excuses for these punks.

Name: PHScott
Comment: It's nice that we make an effort to change our blighted communities, but there will always be people who would rather rob and steal than find gainful employment. That's just a fact of life. There will always be crime, there will always be punishment...
