Comment: ...A lifetime ban?...Yo, that sounds excessive...I can see if Snoop was carrying a bomb or engaged in some terrorist sh1t...but c'mon man, all they was tryna do was get in the first class lounge and have a few drinks and maybe light one up...It's like paying for a seat in the rafters and sneaking down to the front row if nobody's sitting there...Hate his lyrics, style of dress and hair style...but don't do this, this ain't right...Motley Crew, ACDC, The Stones, ect did sh1t too...They didn't get a life time ban...You can't tell me The Who, Pink Floyd didn't trash a few lounges...

Comment: There can be no justification in the actions of Snoop and his party, come on folks these are suppose to adults not kids, rules or rules just because of your celebrity status doesn't mean you can act the fool. I don't blame the airline imagine those drunk/high fools in mid flight pulling some stunts like this no telling what might happen. I don't have any sympathy for grown folks acting like teenagers, if you want to be taken seriously, carry yourself in a way that garners respect.

Comment: I've never in my life insulted people on this board, but you people who think this was excessive or misplaced justice are either ignorant, or just plain stupid.
You and four of your posse try that crap in any airport, and see a) how quick your azz get's tossed in jail b) the fines that you will get. Then see if you got Nelson Mandelas daughter making a plea to get your butt out a jail.
Stop feeling sorry for rich idiots who don't care about you.
And for that uninformed person, many performers domestic, and foreign are banned from some of the better hotels for life for drug induced issues. A friend of mine works for a big hotel that stars use, and at one point Bobby wasn't allowed in the hotel unless Whitney was there. Boy George is banned from a few hotels in ny, I think he crapped in one of them when he was high, and they weren't having it.
That lifetime ban is appropriate. By the way, they can lift it, but probably only for snoop. The others had COACH!!! that's like four levels down from 1st class on a B.A. transatlantic flight. There is the sleeping birth, business, then a better than coach coach, then just plain coach I think.

Snoop and his crew maybe able to brush this off but the airline is left with some serious damage control. The thugs some of these performers hang around with are more of a liability than an %*$et.

This is his career, just b/c you are a hot celeb doesn't mean you are hot forever. Time for him carry himself as a professional and quit trying to be a super thug. I luv Snoop and all but he needs to re-evaluate the folks around him and truly look in the mirror and the success he has b/c carrying on like, he will lose control and find himself being like Whitney, Mike and all those other superstars who got some major problems in their life.

Comment: Snoop beat a murder charge. This silliness is the least of his worries. I still find it very telling that he was arrested but not charged. I maintain that if 7 police officers really did get hurt, including a broken foot or hand, and if Snoop's people really did arbitrarily grab bottles in the duty free shop and throw them and cause a general ruckus, that would warrant enough of a reason to chage them with at the very least disorderly conduct, or assulting a police officer/constable. But somehow they were released without being charged. Now I admit I am no expert on the British police force(s), but I would have to think that giving a police officer injuries, no matter how minor, is an arrestable offense. How did Snoop and them leave the country without being charged if they really did all of this? If he didn't receive any preferential treatment because of his celebrity, that means that you or I could go to Heathrow Airport and injure a police officer and also expect not to be charged, right? See how silly that sounds? Not to mention a major international hub such as Heathrow should have cameras EVERYWHERE. If what Snoop and his people did was such a heinous and violent act, why have no video tapes been made available, as they always are with public disturbances (especially in an airport!) like this one? I'm no mathematician but it just doesn't add up.

Comment: I tried realy hard to ignore this one but I feel I have to say something. If Snoop can't calm his people down then maybe he sould let them go. I thought he was trying to turn things back around get back with wife, he was coaching little league you know acting like a grown up. How many times have we seen this happen. A rapper gets reported in news on some D.N.S (Dumb Nicca Shyt) it turns out that it wasn't the rapper per say but one of his chronies on some D.N.S. We've just recently lost two rappers behind some ignance but americans have such short memories that before you know it we're on that dumb stuff again. Now I know that there is a heck of a difference between rappers being gunned down and economy wanksters crashing the first class lounge and trowing liquor bottles and getting banned from BA. But lately it just seems that we have SOME entertainers losing thier mental falculties and in some cases losing thier lives. I mean (S)Hot 97 is about to loose thier lease behind the D.N.S they have engagin in for past few years. Between the Shootings on the street and the SLAP FEST

People said it already but it's time he act like the grown-azzed man that he is in age. He is a married man with children. It is time he act like it and stop behaving like a 14 yr old boy. It might be harsh but back when Tupac and Biggie got killed, I was thinking that Snoop was next. It seemed to me that God got rid of them before they did anymore harm. Yeah, I'll get some flack for this but so what? I thought the murder charge and then his wife threatening to divorce him had shaken him to grow up but apparently not. What an idiot.

What people don't know is that B.A. (as all airlines do) have a long list of people banned from their carrier. It just so happens that Snoop is probably the most high-profiled.
Wake up people, we live in a post 9/11 world, you can't act up in or around the airports.
Lifetime ban is the only deterrent that some business have against such ridiculous behavior.

Comment: I smell a snake and it’s not Snoop’s lanky azz. For me this ban is too immediate for me to think it's fair. Snoop & peeps are still being questioned so there's obviously more to the situation. I’m not saying Snoop and his posse acted appropriately he/they need to pay the damages and be fined but a life time ban, especially without a full investigation… come on. Do we really know what happened? Why are we so confident that Snoop and his peeps initiated the fight. Maybe his peeps in coach were told earlier they could chill in the first class lounge but once they got there security, seeing all these Black men with perms, felt threatened. I don't know, this is not a clear cut case for me to totally dog Snoop.

Comment: Can all the neigh-sayers here agree that [in most if not all instances] if a black man is responsible for injuring a police officer (in this case 7 police officers), no matter what the jurisdiction (but especially in a heavily traveled international hub such as Heathrow Airport), that at the very least he will be ticketed or cited, or at most charged with a crime? Can we all agree on that much?
If not, I want to move to your world because there a few cops who need to be hurt!
If so, then ask yourself how it is possible that Snoop (who the cops could have easily made an example of) and his boys left the country without one single charge. All accounts of this have been described as nothing short of a small-scale riot in London's airport. Yet and still NO ONE WAS CHARGED. Does that make any sense whatsoever? If so, someone please explain. Thanks in advance!

Comment: Go to the BBC or 'This Is London' online where the story was first reported. The only fact they misreported was that Snoop was from the 'mean streets' of Long Beach! Ha! Those dudes in Long Beach roll bluntz in front of the po-po's at the convenience store, so it's not that hard-scrabble. Still, you cannot go overseas and have your fat-azzed peeps trying to sit in a luxury lounge and lamp when no one else who hasn't paid the thousands that first-class costs can go in there either. Give me a break. Then to throw shi* and trip in a duty-free store. Give me a m.f.'in break. If I'd have seen that I'd have een pist too. Who needs it? Fucc'em, dumb aszzes. Stay your azz in the LBC or Bakersfield, CA and get your GED and learn how to travel overseas. No sympathy here.

Comment: I read from the South African press that a businessman (white man) who traveled from LA through Heathrow to South Africa thought that Snoop and his entourage were very peaceful. All they did while at the airport was to rap about everything and that apparently offended whoever was there. That does not surprise me because many whites, particularly from Europe have a negative perception of blacks and they have set their own standard of how blacks should behave in a white environment. So, one need to be measured and cautious before judging Snoop and his entourage. In any case, there are many airlines that goes through London.

Comment: A mini-riot erupted at Heathrow airport after rapper Snoop Dogg and a 30-strong entourage clashed with police in a departure lounge.
Look here too!
• Air-rampage supermodel booted out
The men - mostly minders - apparently turned violent after being refused entry to a first-class lounge, smashing up a duty free shop, throwing bottles and attacking officers.
It took riot police over an hour to arrest the "20-stone men", who were then led out in handcuffs, with one shouting: "This is how it goes down in LA."

Witnesses believe the group, who were travelling from the US to South Africa, were refused entry to the British Airways lounge as only a few had first-class tickets. It is thought they became abusive towards staff and were turned away from their flight, running riot when police tried to guide them out of the airport.
Six men, including the 34-year-old American rapper, were arrested. A Heathrow worker, who took photos from his mobile phone, said: "There were all these huge, 20-stone men smashing up display cabinets and throwing people around. I saw Snoop Dogg on the ground, with four riot police trying to put him in handcuffs. His minders were throwing bottles at people.
"There were 15 riot vans and eight police cars outside, with dog sniffer units. They were throwing the policemen around like pillows. Then the police used pepper spray on them."
The row is thought to have been witnessed by Ronan Keating, who was in the Terminal 1 lounge.
Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Broadus, is a former drug dealer and gang member. He comes from one of LA's most notorious areas and has been accused of several crimes during his life - including murder, although he was acquitted.
Six men were arrested for violent disorder and affray.
