Comment: if this is true then this can be a disaster just waiting to happen. Just leave it along and let the law handle it. Please no more blood shed. Enoough has already been done.

Comment: JBONEZ says," Realistically it's a race between the police and TI's friends to find the killers." The police need to find the killers. True they should let the police do their work. But, will they honestly do it? They will only follow through if they think it's goning to be a street war. JBONEZ doesn't understand this: Where is the witness? They argued in a full club that spilled outside. They are local boys (that means they have familiar faces, familiar cars and someone in the club knows them). Is this the STOP Snitching monster that is raising it's ugly head again.

Comment: They didn't say that no witnesses had come forward but it's best for them to be cryptic, I would think, to keep them alive long enough to testify. I feel bad for TI as he is a different kind of rapper, little different mentality and I heard part of a statement he made about this tragedy. He manned up and took responsibility for the melee because he said at the end of the day the folk around him were entrusted to him by their families. He also said he didn't want to make a decision right now because he's really messed up but he's wondering if he'll continue his rap career.

Comment: If someone started a "RAP SUCKS" campaign, I wonder if it would lead to the demise of rap music being played on radio, similar to what happened with disco, during the "DISCO SUCKS" era?

Comment: It strikes me as funny that no one is bashing TI in the same fashion that folks bashed Busta when his bodyguard got killed. These are similar circumstances to say the least. No one is questioning why TI hasn't come forward to assist the police. And I thought John Kerry was a flip-flopper...

Comment: Thunny, I think that is because TI isn't hiding. *look up* to what McNasty posted.

Comment: Busta wasn't hiding either. He still took all the heat over his situation where his friend got murdered in front of him. Why then is TI not taking the same heat? I don't get it.

Comment: cincinnati? does anyone remember the police shooting there a couple of years ago when this young, unarmed brother was shot and killed by a white cop? does anyone believe they even care enough to look for the killer of this young kid? their mentality was/is let all those n****rs kill each other so we don't have to deal w/ them anymore. and what is it about our young people that they have bought into killing w/ ease; going to prison; not valuing life, including their own; the "i'll kill you in a minute" mentality; their lack of respect for anything? everyone wants to be hard like that is something to aspire to become. do we really expect the police to solve the problems in our communities? i love black people w/ all my heart because i know the potential we possess, but y'all are killing me w/ this ignorant %*$ bullsh** f**k this. 1love?

Comment: Busta was hiding in plain sight and let it be known he wasn't snitching! TI was right there, accessible - no problem. He is actually responding to reporters whereas the only message we got from busted busta was 'stop snitching'. Big difference in the two of them.

Comment: Thunny - I have not read anything that said that TI was not cooperating with the police. If I had, my opinion would be the same as it was for Busta.

Comment: Cincy's police force is right up there with everyother city whose force is predominantly WHITE!..They shoot BROTHERS in the back!..A few years ago Cincy had a "Shoot a N*gga a night" epidemic going on, prompting alot of popular African American events coming into of the city were cancelled..Including the famed Jazz Fest, which by the way has returned as did everything else once the anger in the city subsided..TI is cooperating with the police, it's just that he doesn't know the guys involved with the shooting..They are from Cincy, TI is from Atlanta..Busta knew exactly who shot his boy!..They are all from NYC..Busta just refuses to "SNITCH"...

Comment: What can TI do in this situation anyway? He's not from Ohio, he probably doesn't even really know these people. Busta knows who shot his bodyguard and has chosen to remain quiet. Two different situations.

Comment: I don't understand the comparison of Buster vs T.I. T.I is cooperating and Busta was making himself unavailable, that's the difference. Busta was saying one thing and doing another.

Comment: Everyone here is saying TI is cooperating. Nowhere has it been said that he is cooperating at all. A report said that gunfire was returned from TI's van. Is he cooperating by telling police who shot guns from his van? I have not read any stories where TI speaks on the incident. Just like with Busta. So why then is TI not also "hiding in plain sight"? Busta never anything about not snitching. He gave the police a statement. To me, that's cooperating. These two incidents are very similar in nature - I don't see why everybody's siding with TI and making him out to be a compliant samaritan when no one's been apprehended. Someone saw something and it would seem to me that if everybody in TI's van told the cops what they knew the as.sailants would be captured. Just like with the Busta situation...

Comment: telthepe, I live in Cincinnati. The incident you are referring to was in 2000, and sparked days of riots in the city. That was a mayor and several boycotts ago. We now have an Afrocan-American mayor who is hell bent on making changes within the police force. Unfortunately for him, the crime in this city is increasingly "drug-driven", instituted by gangs whose members are getting younger. Just over the weekend, three teens were shot at a house party! It's getting more difficult to be sympathize with young black males when THEY are the ones doing the killing. A grandmother was shot and killed waiting at the bus stop by a bullet meant for someone else. I've lived here almost 20 ears, and violent crime has never been as rampant as they are now. As for the TI situation, the problem isn't going to be the police, the problem will be the non-cooperation of the citizens that were at Club Ritz.
I haven't been there since it first opened, but the club usually has a diverse (black) crowd. You mean to tell me that people actually heard the things the killers said, but NO ONE can give a description?
I just don't believe it.

Comment: One of the problems these days is that even if you do kill someone you still got it e-z in prison. You got free food, room and board, tv, and recreation holiday feasts etc..People don't care about the consequences anymore. The problem is bigger and beyond human intervention..badness it's in the air we breath so nothing is really all that surprising in these times that were living in...
