Comment: Mary still can't seem to move on with her life from the Supremes - a group whose name she don't even own. What's in this for her. If anyone, Berry Gordy should be pushing this, cause he still owns the "Supremes" name.

Comment: If you don't look out for yourself, then no one else will. I remember the Soul Cafe in NYC. When I went there to see a Motown Revue, they even had white chicks as the Supremes or Martha and the Vandellas and it felt WRONG. True, they wanted a larger audience, so by putting the lighter skinned vocalists in, they packed the place. Even white folk were saying it wasn't right. I agree with Mary. Every tub should stand on their own legs. Others have paved the way, the least you could do is not try to jack their history. If you got talent, real talent, then you should be able to perform under your own name and stop LYING.

Comment: GURLFRAND - Give her a BREAK! I never had personal ownership in any group or organization that I ever belonged to either, but the ones that I was proud of and knew made a difference I would be VERY p!ssed-off if I found out somebody that never had anything to do with it was going around pretending that the had! I attended an OLD-SCHOOL concert 2 years ago and there was a band there pretending to be P-Funk. Being an old time funk-a-teer I knew that no one on stage was ever a member of P-Funk. Especially since the oldest one up there looked like he was only about 25 - 30 years old. The fans are the ones that get ripped-off by this sort of thing...We should ALL be mad over it.

Comment: I hope others join in Mary's fight so this bill can get passed. No one in their right mind can do what original old school artist have done with music, and these little young groups that are calling their music R&B need to go and sit down.
