Comment: Fantastic article, I'm all for immigration, but only legally!!!!!!! Unconditional amnesty? this is ridiculous. My college professor, presented this as a class discussion and me, [the law abiding, conservative, republican voting (seriously reevaluating that stance), only person of color in the entire lecture room] and him were at odds for quite sometime. As his discussion changed from hearing opinions, and debate to pushing his own reason why he believes the illegal aliens should remain in these United States. Citing, currently there are four persons paying into the social security for every one person that receives it. (Baby boomers are living longer, and better health/enviroment = longer life) but this number will, in approximately 20 years, decrease to only two persons paying for every one person. Therefore, resulting in higher taxes, and less social security...he went on to argue that the US needs the illegal aliens here to work jobs to pay into the system. Of course, I argues against every point. Illegal aliens are insisting that the United States reward them for committing a crime, arriving in this country illegally. This is what i'm totally against. IMO, if they are so successful at making America work, then why isn't the very countries they flee, more successful. I received some literature from my insurance company, one in English and one in Spanish. This is ridiculous. If immigrants wish to keep there culture alive, I respect that, but at least speak the language.

Comment: Great Article!! The problem as I see it is they don't want to become American's, there is no desire to become a part of the community or a part of the American family...just the benefits that come along with it...all the while bringing the things that made their country so bad, here. I hope people see this before its too late. Wishful thinking I know. I have absolutely no confidence in our lawmakers. One suggestion I would make if they don't want to send everyone back, thats fine, BUT they should never be able to become a citizen and ALL services should be denied to them. period end of story.

Comment: Funny how they feel they can just step to the front of the line after coming here illegaly. As for tem alreading being "Americans", they are only American in the sense that they are from North America. They refuse to speak English and want everyone to learn Spanish. And, they will get thier demands, Bush is very pro Hispanic since they voted for him 40% in the last electionand his siter-in-law is the off spring of illegal immigrants. And, once they get a foothold in a community, watch out black people, you will be in the back of the bus yet again, ask anyone black from LA. Phoenix or any other city where they have become the "majority minorty," and since they aren't at all willing to work with blacks on any level, its indeed a sad day.

Comment: Kick them all out. Now. And build a huge electrified fence along the entire border. Now. Instead of putting young Black men in jail, put them to work building that fence.

Comment: Amen thinker! When I said put them out and electrify the border somebody called me brutal but it's the only way to get the message across that entering the US illegally will no longer be tolerated. It's a shame that a lot of folks don't see the real impact on blacks but when hispanics work themselves up to being your supervisor you'll see first hand that they don't give a damn about a black person. Regardless of the fact that they go after the same jobs as we do and don't hesitate to move smack dab in the middle of a black neighborhood.
