Comment: This shouldn't be anyone's business. Whether Matthew Knowles is Kelly's father or not should be a family matter. Too often, we (the public) feel that we have a right to know every detail of a star's life - but we don't. Besides, she's an adult now, so she doesn't have to answer to anyone. She has said, time and time again, her mother was a live-in nanny in Atlanta. traveling back and forth to Houston to bring Kelly to rehearsals got to be too much, so she allowed her to live with the Knowles family. I've known several folks who went to live with trusted family friends (for one reason or another).

Comment: This is a rumor that's been around for awhile, and i never believed it. More mess from the DC-Beyonce haters. I am curious, however, to know if Matthew is her biological uncle, or a close family friend kind of 'uncle'. I'm guessing the latter, because i've never heard her refer to B as her cousin. I'm also curious as to the story with her father. Brandon, while i understand your point (and it is valid), part of being a celebrity is that your life is open to public speculation. It's just an ugly truth. I don't think the interest is unhealthy, it's the motives of the interested that can be unhealthy, i.e. starting/perpetuating a "foul rumor that will ruin your life.."

Comment: Being a celeb means certain parts of your life are fair game, but the identity of your parent shouldn't be an issue if you don't want to make it an issue. Celebs should still be able to have a modicum of privacy.

Comment: True..but it doesn't always happen like that. Most of the time, it doesn't. Shoulda, coulda, and woulda is sometimes different than what 'is'. Some celebs are extremely private, and i think that's a good thing. Depending on the popularity of the celebrity, what is going on in that celebrity's life, and the people who are around their lives, it isn't always easy to keep your personal life personal. For example, those three factors have a lot to do with how and why we know what Whitney's BATHROOM looks like. It's ridiculous.

Comment: I don't think he is her father and as far as her color being the same as he's is just stupid. Her mother is just as light as his wife Tina and they sort of look alike..check May issues of Essence and you will see her. And if he is, so be it...it happens all the time and they won't be the last one. She doesn't look like him in features but color and that's mean nothing.

I'm glad Kelly was able to prosper in her life despite coming from a volatile family background, and that the Knowles family were people who took her in and was able to help her in her young life. Comment: FUNNY how the media will look for ANYTHING for a story when the stars don't give them dirt. Odd the public even cares...Either way what does any of it have to do with her singing career? She is NOT the likes of an R Kelly or MJ...but obviously her fame has reached a level where now the media will draw straws to FIND/makeup something they view worthwhile to the public.
You can tell how "young" Kelly is that she would even DISCUSS those type of details knowing how vicious the media can be. I guess that's a lesson learned for her to grow on.

Comment: nightshift, Beyonce's mother is Creole. This tid bit of information came from a cover story of Kelly from the current issue of Vibe Vixen. You can go to supacindyonline.com on the messageboards and read the full article. In the article both her and her mother were interviewed. Her mother said the father was abused toward her. After leaving ATL they moved to Houston. Things were rough for them. At the same time Kelly was going to rehearsal at the Knowles house. Eventually Kelly stayed at their house a couple of nights but as she said it turn into months, then years. Said her mother had a key to the Knowles house, she would come and help her with her homework and sometimes cooked for her, and she went to church with them.

Comment: That is a ridiculous rumor. Celebs pretty much give up their privacy when they become famous. It is so unfair but people will continue to create fictitious lies. She has the right to keep a lid about her family life. There isn't a contract in the world to state that she must tell all. I hope she won't feel pressure to tell whether or not if the rumor is true or false. The best thing is for folks to worry about self. This is a wasteful story.

They will go to lengths and pay even the garbage man to go through a persons trash if they think theres a story to be told. This just ties in to Mathew Knowles being a married dog. Whenever I hear statements like the above, it always reminds me that success isn't usually defined by talent and good music, but by "marketing strategies". They don't even try to hide the fact anymore.
