Comment: That's sad, it sounds like Richard Pryor's daughter is angry because her dad's wife has all the control. Instead of fighting in court, she probably could've come out better by trying to bond and build a relationship....that is, after all, her step-mother. Elizabeth won't win this case on the basis that the wife didn't want a bunch of friends and family members in the house while her husband was dying. But also, Elizabeth has made sure that she will be excluded from any future family gatherings or financial divisions of %*$ets.

Comment: Indeed, it is sad. However, if my father was that ill, and i really wanted to see him, wild horses couldn't have kept me away from him. If i had to pull the wife up on the side and away from my father's eyes, jack her azz up by the collar, and inform her that perhaps she should reconsider the way she's been carrying things, i would've. And yes, i would've also assured her that she didn't want to go back and tell my father what i'd said and done. It would simply not be in her best interest to do so. And y'all know that's the polite version, right ? I wonder what Rain has to say about all of this.

Comment: Jenny is just some yt chick whose only accomplishment in life is that she married the greatest comedian ever.Just like any other obscure person who went from nothing to something, she thinks she knows all about our culture and can do and say what she wants. Most of Mr. Pryors kids are not happy with the supergroupie neither.YT people just should not have any say in our affairs but dumb @ss n!ggas are always inviting them in.

Comment: Shame of it is that if these kids realized their obligation to care for their ailing and aged parents themselves none of this stuff would be happening. Why didn't Rain exert a little more influence with Richard before he remarried this pasty faced poor white trash of a woman the second time?

Comment: In this case, I would say that this is Richard's fault. I think Ricard's kids did want to bond with their father but if I recall, sometimes, he could be difficult. Richard was not an easy person to deal with. So in comes Jennifer, who's willing to put up with every and anything just to call her herself 'Mrs. Pryor' again. She even admitted herself that Richard was not the easiest person to deal with plus, it was no secret that she and Rain had a strained relationship. If Richard kept pushing his kids away, what are they to do? Rain, I guess, was tough minded and stayed in her father's face. I'm not surprised that some of this is coming about. It would be interesting to see what becomes of this case.

Comment: OK....so you wait until the dies before you take action?!? This is all about money because if she really gave a shat about how her father was being treated, she would have filed this petition while he was alive. If I knew my father was being abused, I would've had his wife's azz in a sling before the week was out.

Comment: C'mon Debonair, why do you have to make this a racial issue. In this country, unless otherwise stated, the spouse is the next-of-kin, and he/she gets to make all of the decisions. As for the daughters, they don't have to agree with their father's choice of a wife, but she was his choice. Unless there's a will stating otherwise, she gets everything, and it's up to her to share it with them.

Comment: After all the drugs, divorces, houses and various and sundry other expenditures and lastly the medical expenses I wouldn't count on there being anything left. Think about this, when he was making big dough he was spending big dough and back in the day Richard wasn't paid big dough like some of the comedians now. After all is said and done and the bills are paid this white woman will no doubt end up with dust.

Comment: Thank you Angel for the words of reason. Why wait until after his death? If she was so concerned about the woman's treatment of her father, she should have taken the wife to court while he was alive.....smells like good old fashioned greed to me.

Comment: The current spouse of a deceased person always has next-of-kin rights. We weren't Richard and don't know if he married for love or needed a full-time caretaker. They had issues in the 70s--Jennifer Pryor has gone on the record saying how Richard beat her and called her his "honke* whi*e bi*ch' --- who knows what her motive, if any, was at play. As for Rain, she's been on the record about Jennifer Pryor for years. She has a website called: www.rainpryor.com She has an 'interviews' section on her website and has been talking about Jennifer's role with Richard for a long time. Check it out.
