Comment: Well there was talk that Stan Lee used the Civil Rights Movement as the inspiration for the X-Men. And I liked 'Catwoman' too!

Comment: Hi, Halle. I'm sorry to hear about your toe. And girl you've got to quit being such a klutz, Ok. And Halle, you don't need to go running home tripping over your own feet to see if your man is cheating on you either, I'm sure he love's you with all of his heart. I really feel bad baby, but you get well soon, do you understand me.

Comment: I watched X-Men (the cartoon) all through college and I have seen all 3 movies. This is by far the best that they have allowed Halle to be!! Like the article says, she wasn't just a pretty face in a movie full of mutants, she actually had backbone and an opinion (like she did in the cartoon). I hope the series contines and that Halle stays with the film and helps train the new generation of mutants.

Comment: Well Civil Rights have been compared to women's rights, gay rights, animal rights and now mutant rights, well until any of these groups have suffered the atrocities that African's in the diaspora have suffered and continue to suffer...:(..., I am not feelin these comparisons despite being an X-MEN devotee! IMO..It just trivializes the unique experiences of Africa and her descendents. X-MEN is entertainment period! The only other group IMO comparable to us is Native American's.

Comment: Storm & the other X-men are CARTOON CHARACTERS. I'd bet that 95% of the movie-viewing population don't know Storm's background as an African-American pick-pocket who moved to Africa and turned her life around... it's just not important in the movie. The only people who speak of 'trivializing the unique experiences of Africa and her descendents' are those who live their lives always looking for a BS Conspiracy Theory. I'm so sick of that. Why can't people just enjoy the movie and quit looking for a deeper plot?? Do you think white people sit around and hypothesize about how we 'trivialize their unique experience' in our movies, songs, comedy? NO, they don't... it's just not always that serious.
