Comment: EUR, thanks for posting the Billboard Pop charts each week, but please start posting the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop top 10 also. After all, this is the Electronic URBAN report, right?

Comment: Nothing is wrong with them posting info in R&R or Urban artists in the chart that makes them more money!
Nelly Furtado and Timberland song is hot, but I love the reggae remix better with Mr Vegas in it.

Comment: I don't know how others rate chamillionaire but I like this cut, ridn. I also like the fact that he is a well spoken articulate brother and not an embarrassment at the mic.

Comment: Wow. Another rapper rhyming about his car? Unheard of! This guy is the reason for the downgrade in the quality of rap music. These southern rappers act like there are no topics other than girls, cash, cars and jewelry. It's sad. Yes, east coast rappers have the same subject matter for certain songs, but not for entire CDs. How boring. And he's #1. Incredible.

Comment: No way possible one rapper out of too many thousands of talentless rappers could be the cause of any downgrade. I know you're a rap connisseur but I'd rather hear them rapping about cash cars and jewelry than to hear them calling females bytches and ho's. The fact that he's number one only speaks to the mentality of about a million or so of our young brothers and sisters. Sad state that!

Comment: McNasty, of course he's not the sole culprit, but I lump all these southern rappers with zero talent in the same category and I assign them all an equal amount of blame for lack of originality and putting out music that all sounds the same for the most part. But this dude in particular is just straight up wack. I was impressed that he didn't have as heavy as a southern drawl as most of his counterparts, but that doesn't take away from his wackness.

Comment: Thun, I'm with you. When I first saw this video, I thought it was straight up trash that would fall off quickly. But now it's number one. Just shows what I know: I like India. Arie, and she is at 97.

Comment: Beegirl you're doing better than I am because there is nothing on the chart I can stomach listening to. I routinely have to listen to my older CDs and download old music for my ipod because this music today is out of control bad!

Comment: I agree with McNasty in regards to his previous comment about Chamillionaire. I was watching a DVD on beefs. He was on there explaining about his beef with BG(I think). After watching about 10 or 15 minutes of the interview I noticed that he had not said one curse word nor did he say anything negative about that man during the entire interview. He is a very articulate and well spoken young man and Ridin dirty is my JAM!

Comment: mundee, he had beef with another Black man, probably over some dumb azz nonsense, but you can overlook that because he's well spoken and articulate and Ridin Dirty is your jam? Classic.

Comment: Thunny- Yeah o.k. --Anyway, he had a problem with Mike Jones not BG. And regardless of the fact that he had a problem with a "black" man. He was able to explain what the issue was without being disrespectful or cruel which is more thatn I can say about most rappers hell most people. Now that's classic!

Comment: Haa haaa haa... they hatin' the Souf right about now. I usually sit back and just skim through the comments but I had to speak out on this one. That boy Cham is about as cold as they come thats why he is #1. East Coast heads been talking down on the South forever but its the Souths turn. NY rappers cater to the NY mentality... there is only one NY. The Southern rap style appeals to abroader audience. Thus the reason the South got the charts on lock right now. "True" hip-hop enthusiast use to say rappers down south don't display any lyrical skill. Know body can say that about Cham cuz the boy goes off. Ridin' is a catchy radio jam that did exactly what it was meant to do... coast that boy to the top... a certified Platinum artist. He had to beg the execs in NY to push his album and they barely did and look what he has acomplished. Boys down South got hella grind... recognize.

Comment: Oh yea another thing... the song is about police racial profiling... something the average black person probably has fallen victim to... its not about his car but rather the negative attention his car receives from the cops...

Comment: Please know what ya'll are criticizing before you go on a rant. The Ridin song isn't really about how nice Cham's car is--its about him being profiled by cops because he's young, black, and in a nice car. And the "beef" he has with Mike Jones and Swisha House is over the money he claims they owe him. In any other industry this "beef" would be called a contract dispute--but because its young black men, we automatically give it a derisive and negative connotation of just being another case black men not being able to get along--ie, beef.
