Comment: When Bryant Gumbel was on the Today Show, he brought intelligence, knowledge and eloquence. Perhaps he'd do the same for GMA. In addition to that, he has crossover appeal, and that's always good for ratings.

Comment: I cannot see Tom Bergeron as a news anchor. I like him, but stay with America's Funniest Videos. Mr. Gumbel would be a great %*$et along with Diane and Robin.

Comment: I see the networks are still jerking BG around. He made a grave mistake demanding more money to equal what Katie Couric was making and then throwing a hissy fit and leaving to force their hand. They are dangling this opportunity in front of him like a carrot with no real intention of allowing him back on network tv.

Comment: Brandon, I agree. I love Bryan Gumbel. He brings it straight up. He doesn't tap dance around anything. It is what it is with him. Ilove his sports show on HBO too. It's indepth and delves deeply into it's subject. It was a matter of time before they'd call him back.

Comment: This will be interesting to see if Bryant gets that job. He made a lot of enemies in morning news programs with his disposition. He is good at what he does, but, I think a lot of folks don't like the way he does it.

Comment: I'm with you Gua1. In fact, I'd stop watching GMA if Bryant shows up. Look what happened when he switched to that CBS morning show. It sunk! I think Bryant is too arrogant and pompous to draw a crowd.

Comment: Bryant Gumbel didn't bring down CBS morning show; it was sinking fast and they thought he could save it but it was too late. Bryant Gumbel and Robin Roberts; two intelligent Black folks as anchors on GMA; I don't see it happening; YT ain't ready for it plus might make D. Sawyer look bad.

Comment: Winn30344, I agree with you completely. I think BG is intelligent and far from arrogant - that would be a non U.S. citizen (until just before he died), without a high school degree who got the job cause his daddy was a big wig - Peter Jennings - God rest his soul.
BG and Robin would be too much for America cause Diane wouldn't look that bright by comparison. But you never know, I'm still surprised they made Robin a co-anchor, happy but surprised. Wonder how things will go for her once Charlie is offically gone.

Comment: bryant is too mean, nasty, hostile and downright uptight for the morning.i don't want to wake up with him. plus, there is too much we now know about bryant and none of it is good. he is intelligent, bright and has a quick mind and should be doing political hard news. i wonder why he would even want to do light morning stuff. must be the money! that white wife is probably spending it as fast as he can make it. lol!!!
