Comment: Now I see why Preston was estranged from his family before his death! The former manager would have at least made sure Billy Preston's wishes were fullfilled. All Preston's family is doing is displaying exactly why Billy was not close to them anymore. In death, as in life, our wishes should be respected especially by family and friends. I am surprised Chaka or even Natalie Cole would want to be mixed up with this funeral. If they were real friends, instead of entertainers, they would respect his last wish and turn the family down!

Comment: I'm sure Natalie and Chaka are not thinking of their "friend"! Billy is dead. He won't hear their wonderful voices. He won't care! He cared to make his last wish and believed it would be respected. I don't blame Chaka nor Natalie, but I do however feel if our family and friends won't respect our word, who will? Putting a cap on this blatant show of disrespect by his family could start with Chaka and Natalie Cole standing firm on their friends last wish and refusing to honor his family, not Billy Preston!

Comment: Wow, I thought this man was buried already. It never takes this long to lay someone to rest, unless money is an issue. How disrespectfull of his family to leave this man's body lingering while they bicker back and forth.

Comment: #1-How do we know really what Billy's last wish was? #2-If he was in a coma since October and didn't realize that he was gong to leave this world so soon after his diagnosed illness then how did he make this last wish. #3-The family ordered an autopsy, which can prolong the burial and there may have been money issues. #4-Since no one knows the day, hour or minute that they will pass on, you can't really call it disrespect from the family for "leaving his body lingering". Remember they first had to get to Arizona to request an autopsy and then get the body released then ship his body to LA, then prepare it for burial.

Comment: Sorry, but I'm only privy to the information in this article and I refuse speculate on various scenarios and what ifs. According to this article "His" last wish is being ignored which I would deem disrespectful.

Comment: Southernbelle, I agree! We can only comment on what has been written and since it is no secret that his dying wish was to not have a display nor have his family by his side, it should be honored by all that claim they loved him.

Comment: Once again this an example of not being able to believe everything you read. I am a family friend of the Preston's. Basically everything that comes out of the mouth of Joyce Moore ( the manager)is a lie. I will not go into details but I ask that you keep the family uplifted in prayer as they go through this ugly ordeal with Joyce. And also in your prayers ask that Joyce Moore no longer be allowed to cause hell and termoil in anyone else's life.....

Comment: Amazed!!! It is difficult to understand what the truth is unless you know Joyce Moore. Obviously you know the previous hell and turmoil that Joyce has created i the lives of others before Billy's passing. As you know...she showed back up in Billy's life when the chips were down.After the jail bout she started running back and forth to LA...but we do have to admit that Billy let her in. But destruction is her M.O...the same way she did with the life of Mary Wells...she is still stringing Sugar(Mary's youngest) along and doling out the money that rightfully belongs to Sugar. I do agree that Joyce should be prayed for. And if one does not want to pray for her indeed it will be revealed that she is the devil incarnate. Be firm in your FAITH that Joyce Moore will experience retribution for all that she has does and continues to do and has done to black families, women and men and mostly children in the name of "friendship." Every dog has their day.
