Comment: I didn't watch. I'm sure I'll catch it the weekend (I'm sure).

Name: Untouchable
Comment: What a long show. Highlights: Beyonce' and her all-girl band rocked it along w/Jayz, Busta Rhymes and crew (enimen was a cool surprise), Prince and chaka salute w/ yolanda adams, stevie wonder funny: Watching Chris Brown tire his self out doing back flips and what not during his performance. Hot: Fantasia and Jamie Foxx kiss looked very real Mediocre: T.I.'s performance of his song "what you know" you could tell he had bad sound problems Low lights: Keisha Cole struggling to hit every single note of her song "love"it was painful to watch. Either I am tired of that song or it seemed to go on forever. I think they should have had Keli perform her song "bossy" in place of Keisha cole. Damon Wayans hosting-I usually like Damon Wayans but maybe he should leave the hosting gigs to someone else. Overall, it was another good show tho.

Comment: that show was a hot mess. I was disappointed there were some good moments but the bad outweighed the good. I expected more. Janet was walking like she had a dick stuck in her but and looked like she had on a false but. beyonce was disappointing, i expected more from her . I was just not pleased at all.

Comment: From what I saw of the show, I enjoyed it especially Young Chris Brown. Love it!

Name: Lovely
Comment: Good morning!!!! Beyonce rocked it out with her all girl band! Last year she stole the show with Cater To You and this year she stole it with DeJa Vu! Loved it loved it loved it!! Chaka/Prince/Stevie/Yolanda had me up off the couch singing and dancing like I used to when my mom and her girls used to play spades & spoons on Friday nights. Chris Brown & Mary Mary were great. And Busta & the remix were fabulous - felt like I was at a house party last night!! I enjoyed the show. BET is starting to step their game up.

Name: Lovely
Comment: Also, I love Damon Wayans but unfortunately he didn't make me laugh last night... I'm still hype about the Beyonce performance...

Name: MrSL8
Comment: Was that BEYONCE or SHAKIRA????

Comment: BET thoughts: I love plump rumps, but that was not Janet's "BlackGround" that was shown last night. Why enhance what already looks good? Somebooty betta tell her that "When You Fake The Funk, Your Nose Has GOT To Grow!" That desperate to sell the new CD? Hmmm...And has anybody EVER seen a top comedian bomb the way Damon did during his opening monologue last night? Hell, even his two simple, younger brothers are funnier than that. And Chaka:Chaka, chaka, chaka, chaka khan Chaka khan, chaka khan, chaka khan Chaka khan, let me rock you Let me rock you, chaka khan Let me rock you, that's all i wanna do Chaka khan, let me rock you Let me rock you, chaka khan Let me rock you, let me feel for you Chaka khan let me tell you what i wanna do Do you feel for me, the way i feel for you Chaka khan let me tell you what i wanna do I wanna love you, wanna hug you, wanna squeeze you too Let me take you in my arms Let me fill you with my charms, chaka 'cause you know that i'm the one to keep you warm Chaka, i'll make you more than just a physical dream I wanna rock you, chaka Baby, cause you make me wanna scream Let me rock you, rock you. PS Bernadette was looking good also.

Comment: Although I was disappointed in the too many to mention, technical difficulties, I enjoyed it for the most part...All I can say right now is PRINCE, PRINCE, PRINCE!..My lucious Royal Purple Majesty rocked the MF'n HOUSE!!!Oh how I love thee:)...Could someone please explain the stank as hell kiss betewen Fantasia and Jamie?..What was her purpose?...Mary J, Mary J!..And although we sometimes give Slim Shady hell on this site, I damn near jumped off my sofa when he came up thru the stage to perform with Busta...Almost got teary eyed....P Diddy's suit was garbage!..Made him look like an out of shape women..Mo'Nique, the gym girl, the gym!..Vivica, a mirror girl, a mirror!

Comment: Missed the show -- but I'm glad Whitney didn't show up. This was Chaka's night and WH would have upstaged her.

Name: OneShot
Comment: I didn't see the entire show but I did catch Beyonce's performance and it was great. What more could the girl have done besides gymnastics? Initially, I thought TI was doing something new and just rapping over a portion of the music, but come to find out the sound was screwed up. He was professional about and kept going. They need to fire the sound man. Prince, Chaka, Steve, India and Yolanda were great, but at one point it seemed Chaka and Yolanda were trying to out scream each other. I'll have to see the rest of it later. OH DAMON WAYANS! UGH! He has two settings; either VERY funny and just awful. Last night was just awful. He should never host anything again, EVER!!!! Oh yeah, Mary J Blige looks great! She's been hitting that gym hard. Go girl.

Name: Merd325
Comment: I thought Beyonce was great. I enjoyed Chris Brown. He won best new artist just like I said he would. The reunion of Good Times was cute. I enjoyed the whole show.

Name: alexander1906
Comment: AquaBoogie: Yolanda Adams upstaged Chaka. That was the Second best tribute performance. (The Best- Old School Rap Tribute from a Year or Two ago) I swore that Chaka was having a blond moment because she was acting really dingy during her awards acceptance speech.

Comment: Well, both of my girls were on last night- Janet and Beyonce. Beyonce- I dont know if the thrill has worn off but I expected more from her. It was pretty much the same as her previous performances. Under normal circumstances that would be good enough but she was suppose to raise it a notch. She damn near had to act like she was having a seizure to keep the crowd going. On the other hand my girl Janet. All she had to do was walk out on stage. Now that is a legend. The best part of the show for me was the good times reunion. When they showed Janet sashay out- some of my friends didnt get the connection right away. Me, I was like- there goes Penny. Man o Man. Did she walk. That was all Janets butt. She dont need to fake the funk. Cause baby ALWAYS had back. I was pleasantly surprised to see her looking kind of thick- but fit. I'm glad she wasnt looking like a stick. Beyonce lost a lot of weight. Chaka Chaka Chaka- let me first say- why are there some artist that no matter how bad they sound or look- nobody betta say nothin bad about them? Well I will. What the f^ck was she wearing. I will almost give that a pass because she was always on the tacky side. Her voice was AWFUL. I dare anyone to say otherwise. Busta toe it up. That was a good set. Overall the show lacked some of the excitement of past years.

Name: ImJustAsking
Comment: Busta and company should have opened the show. THAT would have got me hyped! I can't believe BET f*cked up and put them smack dab in the middle of show. After that performance it was a wrap nothing more to see. I liked how T.I. tried to switch it up screwed and chopped style but the sound and his voice were beat. Normally he is a more than capable performer. I liked what Beyonce was trying to do (something unique and a style change for her) but I thought it looked like she was trying wayyyyyyy too hard. And that Tina Turner impression at the end was laughable. Her performance was a across between Morris Day and The time and Gnarles Barkley. Chris Brown was GREAT. His voice is so strong and the performance fit the mood of the song. I’m glad Lil Wayne came out. Mary did horrible on her first song but great on the second song and great on the performance with Busta. Chaka Kahn performance I could not watch, I believe she is on some major drugs. Keshia Cole needs to have a talk with A&R, I’m sure her dress costs thousands but on her, it looked like it came from Rainbow. She also could use some voice lessons b/c she was way too out of breath for a slow song. Overall the show was pretty bad, it didnt' flow whatsover. AND WHAT THE F*CK WAS UP WITH THAT FANNIE AND JAMIE FOXX PERFORMANCE. Horrible.

Name: star
Comment: If yall can remember back to Janet's control days she had a big old butt! Her butt always stuck out, just look at her concerts dvds. That butt last night looked too jiggly to be fake. I can't wait until she performs next year! Beyonce did work it out she's a little fireball! I was glad to see Mary get her awards. Is it just me or does it seem like they give Missy awards just because. I thought Kim should've won! And for best video, video...love him or hate him but we all were talking about R. Kelly's Trapped in the Closet. The show was alright, but something was missing. Oh yeah Mary, Mary and Yolanda Adams they can sang.

Name: ImJustAsking
Comment: Oh yeah Prince and Stevie IMMACULATE...GENIOUS. Janet Jackson's body in that dress was out of this word. Her smile is still sooooo adorable, however, she looks like she's had something more done to her face recently. It looked odd. But the smile more than made up. Bernadette Stanis still got it.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: THE BIGCHASSIE'S TAKE ON THE BET AWARDS: i give it a "Good" bordering on "Almost Great": Lady B turned it out and that all girl band was kick arse. B worked it, but i was really impressed with the ladies in the band. those hefas were doin it! J-zee came on, did what he had to do and left. i guess he wanted to make sure his baby had the limelight. LOVE CHRIS BROWN! that young boy did his thing. at only 17 he is going to be a force to be reckoned with and also i admired him when he won the people's award for best new artist he brought Ne-yo with him to the stage to share in the sucess. that was a classy thing to do. TI was tired due to the sound. he doesn't turn me on anyway. JAMIE AND FANTASIA....THAT KISS...all i can say is DAYUM I WISH THAT WAS ME!!! as far as Jamie's overall performance..he needs to go to the piano and stay there. what he was doing on that stage, i just wasn't feeling it when he was singing. i mean, it was just another singer up there performing. go to the piano Jamie, it's calling you, sweetie! What would have probally helped is that he and kanye do an encore performance of Golddigger with the marching band the way they did it at the Grammys. that would have been a kick. KEYSHA COLE: one word: NO! this chile was not ready to sing last night. actually to be honest, after really listening to her sing that song live, "Love" is the wrong song for her to sing. she can't carry it. If Whitney was in better shape i could hear her hit that song instead. that is a powerful song with some very powerful notes in it and it takes a voice with a flexabale and powerful vocal range to carry it. Whitney would have killed it. Busta and the gang: Fun. good to see Emenin in the place. Mary J. she did a great job but what in de heyell did she have on? how did she get it on? that zipper was down in the middle of her butt crack. ok mary but good job on the song. PRINCE! PRINCE! PRINCE! CHAKA KAHN! STEVIE! ALL I CAN SAY IS LOVE IT! yeah, prince turned it out. Janet: bootay! chile, you must have came and stole some of my bigchassie! but she was looking good! ole hefa! it was good to see JJ, Thelma, and Micheal too. Damon Wayans: i give him a grade of C+. Debra Lee: why did i get the feeling that is the same dress she had on last year??. but all in all, congrats to all the winners and that is my take on this year's BET awards show. I STILL WISH THAT WAS ME BEING KISSED BY JAMIE! DAYUM! DAYUM! DAYUM!

Comment: The BET Awards are getting quite boring and ghetto ridiculous. Chaka, Prince, Stevie, Yolanda really rocked the house. The best performance. These new artists are so sickening. They don't have any true star quality. I don't care how much studio and training u get, if u have it you have it. Just as Steve Harvey said they are getting their 14 minutes of fame. Beyonce was ok. I like her work ethic but I think she is Highly Overated. I'm not hating b/c she is talented but I think for the moment there is no real force of true divas out there except for Old School like my girl Chaka!!! Keyshia Cole??? How in the hell did she get a recording contract??? She was beyond "horrible". Mary J Blige can make some hits but when it comes to performing live, babygirl is not there - just off key and not up to par. Say whatcha wanna say but I will pop an old school artist in the CD player in a minute. These new singers are based on popularity and looks. No real geniune talent. Oh, and why did Puffy have some tight pants on. Does he always have to join his proteges on stage when they perform. Did you guys peep out the manicure nails on Snoop??? That is not cute. Somebody needs to train Fantasia to be like a lady and be more presentable. She looks so stank onstage and the kiss??? I wonder what that was all about with Jamie??? Harry Belafonte was overdue. A man of integrity!!! Why was Beyonce looking so sad in the audience like someone stoled her bike??? I guess she thought she would take home all the awards. Sorry, Chick -- it just wasn't her night. By the way, she needs to get a new hairstyle. That wig was not that deal last night. Busta and the crew had a great performance. Somebody tell Vivica to quit getting that Botox, one more shot and her face will shrink in and that hair was it. Prince looked all dolled up as usually. Hell he looked better than some of those women there. Last but not least, could we please bring Monique or Will-n-Jada back on as hosts??? Damon Wayans was and is so corny and dry. Just Horrible!!!

Comment: I thought about you immediately when Jamie kissed Fantasia.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: AND DIDDY-DOO...all i can say is WTF was up with him? but at least he scoled the soundperson for shoddy handling of the audio.

Name: goodnplenty1957
Comment: i didnt see the show last night. (stupid hotel here in sacramento didnt have BET). but i mentioned something yesterday about wondering would this be a good ideal for a WHITNEY HOUSTON drive by on the Chaka Khan tribute with I'm Every Woman. Even if she came out if Chaka had said "Whitney Houston, Whitney Houston", like Whitney did in her version of the song. but alas..guess she couldnt get away from those two pipes Bobby laid on her...(crack pipe,,and his pipe).

Comment: ss69>I agree with you wholehartedly! YUNVE>LOL! i know that's right! cause you know i had my lips puckered up too! lol! saying "i want one, i want one too! lol!

Name: thebaddestchick
Comment: I think Beyonce's performance sucked compared to other stuff she has done. I mean it was just her on the stage looking like she had the holy ghost. I mean I think I seen Tina Turner and Shakira on that stage. Is it me or was the band just moving not playing???? And she had to get all crazy on the floor to keep the crowd hype. She has done so much better. After that performance, I popped in MAdea Goes To Jail.

Name: ImJustAsking
Comment: baddestchick< how did you like Madea goes to jail? LOL I have to ask b/c I thoroughly enjoyed it the other night when I watched it I think it's the best one yet. SS< I should have known that someone would take this opportunity to make this a new school vs. old school thing. Sorry, I'm not buying it. Plenty of old school artists were not good performers live. Not only that, but plenty of them weren't the greatest singers...they had one hit wonders back then as well.

Name: YLawdY
Comment: Last years was overall better. Best Performance: 1. Chris Brown 2. Busta an 'nem 3. Prince, Yolanda an 'nem 4. Bouncy Best Outfit: Bouncy Shouldn't a Done It: Keishia Cole - dress was off, voice was off. She wasn't ready. Shouldn't Talk in Public - TI Should Always Talk In Public - Harry Belafonte (He is fine for an old man) I love Damon, but he didn't bring it. It was great to see Emimem and Janet and the Good Times crew, but why does Jimmy Walker skeeze me when I see him now. He looks bloated or something.

Name: Vanity
Comment: Overall, I loved the whole show. Of course Prince was the highlight for me...he is the sexiest MF alive! I love Chaka...can't talk about her, just like you aint supposed to say anything bad about Aretha ;-)Chris Brown was a treat...my daughters love him, and now I am a fan..he is a very talented young man. Mary J. killed it!!!! Yolanda, Stevie, Mary Mary....well done! Busta....tore it up!!! I got up out the bed when Slim Shady came out! Janet, looks wonderful. TI....remained professional, a very good look!! Ne-Yo, good job! Damon Wayans....Stick to stand up, he looked good tho. Beyonce, stay off the floor...that was sooooo trying to hard! Keyshia Cole, will just continue to entertain myself with your CD boo. Jagged Edge, WTF?! Fire your stylist or hire one! Jamie and Fanny, tsk, tsk....that kiss was not sexy, it just looked nasty, y'all made my kids scream!

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Fk outta HERE!!! B was HOTTTTTT!!!! Say what you will, she's a performer..kickin, screamin, rollin, on the floor. She's a performer. Swingin big hair..she's a performer. She just is. The drama of Diana and Josephine Baker...the energy of of Tina...all rolled into a nice Houston brickhouse!!! She can sing it in French. She can go gothic broadway. She can do it all. What in the hell more can you ask for? She's not a Heather, Alicia..she's in a class all by herself. She just can't be fkd w/. *fuming mad wishing I was the palm of Jay's hand* She gets it..The full tonguechilada. Yessur!

Comment: Highly Overated!!!!!!!

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Ss609, I tend to agree with you, but Chris Brown is one humble brother. He had heart enough and was real enough to include Ne-Yo when he one his second award and said he was going to stay true to the real music of R & B. I appreciated that. Ne-Yo put it down too. I enjoyed his set. You could hear what was saying and he was in tune. I love this young man's voice and the fact that his lyrics are refreshing. Busta was a buncha noise in my opinion. It was energy, but the guest artists carried the song. I love Prince. Brother been fierce since he was 18 and bust on the scene and changed the game givin' them some of that Gemimi Maddness! Loved Vivica Fox's dress. Steve Harvey always puts it down for the tributes and he ain't lie. Harry Belafonte made me cry, 'cause he was right. Damon was a mediocre host. He should stick to standup. At the afterset, I hollered at Mr. Bentley and his critiquin'. Chaka's tribute was well deserved, but why was Yolanda singing her best parts of her song? She couldn't reach the notes?? Diddy was just mad that the audience didn't greet him as enthusiastically as he expected. You know his level of pomposity and arrogance. He was too through and that's one of the reason he went off on sound dude.

Name: VeeCee
Comment: My favorite moments - PRINCE AND STEVIE during the Chaka Khan tribute; loved it!!!! Busta Rhymes & crew - they definitely rocked it. They had me on my feet!!!! I liked the Harry Belafonte tribute. I think Beyonce was just OK; she overdid a bit but she did a good mop imitation (LOL). JayZ's sprungazz needs to go sit down someplace. Janet and the "Good Times" crew - priceless moment. I don't know who greeted them onstage right before cutting to commerical, though. I guess the one thing I was a little disappointed with was the fact that there was no tribute nor mention of Luther Vandross, since he passed away right after last year's event. Especially since previous tributes had been given to Rick James, Aaliyah, Jam Master Jay, etc. over the years. And there will never be anyone like Luther again. My only question is this - why was Rihanna mentioned as a guest but did not perform? Did I miss her? What happened??

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: VeeCee, I think Rihanna was an presenter.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: VANITY>LOL! eventhough, i love Fannie, Jamie was kissing the wrong woman! and i love Jamie to death, but i was not feeling his performance either.

Name: DallasDiva
Comment: You have to give it to Bee, she will definitely give you a hot performance. She was non stop energy from the first to last note. Busta and crew was crazy.....to bad DMX wasn't there. Mary J was kool but I've seen her perform better. Yolanda hit those notes like whoa!!!

Name: DallasDiva
Comment: Oh can't forget Mary Mary, they blew me away

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: I like Fantasia, but they could have given her a whole song to sing instead of all that screechin'. It would have been better. I think she gained a little weight too. That's my girl though. Awaiting her CD. Jaime at the afterset said they really did't plan to kiss like that but it just happened. After 'Tasia pulled away, he looked disappointed!!! CTFU!

Name: MSHELICIA
Comment: i'm not big fan of bee and i will give her credit for being talented and coming from my hometown , but last night i couldn't figure out what the heck she was trying to do .she was all over the place and the performance IMo wasn't worth all the hype. i have seen better performances by her.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: VEECEE>well you know, not one word was said about Billy Preston either.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: On a more solemn note: Felt bad for TI. Chris Brown is young and hopefully will eventually learn to balance singing and dancing. The dancing was kewl. Singin wasn't that great but he is young and I can accept it. He'll be aiight..just as long as he tells his cousin to STOP MAKING THEM NANNY MAMMY SUITS! Busta *looking like a fat azz wet walrus* was kewl..too many damn people screaming onstage but it was kewl. Papoose/Lloyd have the best verses. The worst performance was Jamie and Fantasia. THE WORST!!!! And I love Fantasia but that squallin. They should've had her sing "Tell me Some'n Good" like she did on her tour. Jamie needs to sing and stop tryin to act onstage. Mary..Mary..not good. There must've been serious sound problems cuz suprisingly there weren't good. Chaka and nem were a nice sight onstage but they too had to sing tooooo hard. The sound man does NOT need to receive his paycheck on this one. It's impossible that so many people who would usually give good performances were just mediocre. That's just impossible. Something was wrong.

Name: rayne
Comment: Watched the show late, thank God for TIVO! SS69054> I agree with you these new artist have got to go! There is no talent. Keysha Cole, who in the world told this girl that she could sing. Chaka Khan a legend. Prince a genius. Stevie an icon. Harry a warrior. Beyonce did her thing. Fantasia- please stop sceaming. Puffy, get over yourself. Vivica- I thought she looked nice, usually she looks like a "Ho". Good Times reunion was great, however, it would have been nice if James would have walked out during the argument. Janet- look great, but she needs to stop with the innocent act. Mary Mary- wonderful talent. Neyo- Nice. Chris Brown- he hasnt grown on me yet. Damon-leave the liquor at home, he looked high. I'm not a real rap fan- I listen to early Ice Cube & Snoop. Overall, the show was ok.

Comment: I didn't watch the program....so thanks everybody for bringing me up to snuff...

Name: indipindintthnkr
Comment: I knew Prince was short, but when he was standing between Mo'Nique and Rihanna (sp)....talking about Janets azz, she always had a big one and if shes not careful, it will end up looking like Chaka's! I was surprised Ms. B didn't get any awards...for all the rump shaking, horsehair slangin, J-z but a slappin she did, at least they could have given her "Best Live Performer"....Did Keysha (sp) need a second wind to finish her song?

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Mus, yeah. I like T.I. I wished he'd have chosen "Why Ya Wanna" I like that joint. But the one he sang "What You Know," I never particularly cared about the song. Yeah, they did screw up on his set somewhat though. I love his humbleness.

Name: Thunny
Comment: Janet's azz was so fat I think she must have had implant surgery or something. Wow is all I can say about her azz! My hat's off to her cosmetic surgeon.

Name: yunvme
Comment: Jamie is lying about that kiss. I saw a pictures from the rehearsals last weekend and one of them was of him and Fantasia kissing EXACTLY the same way.

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Chassie, now you know you a mess! LOL! Mr. Bentley said that Omarosa looked a hot mess in her new breasts and that Jimmie Walker from "Good Times" was all ashy, even on top of his head. The way he said it had me in tears. That damned Jaime Foxx at the afterset told Toure he had a voice on him (high and tinny). I liked to have died! I was thinking it as Jaime was saying it with some chips in my mouth and the mofo almost made me choke!

Comment: Beyonce was VERY-VERY good...was impressed with her performance..she kind of lost me rolling on the floor, but over all...she did her thing! Wasnt feeling Jamie Fox entire performance! TERRIBLE!!!Cant stand Kanye or Diddy...and WTF was Diddy"s point being onstage during Yung Jock performance...and doing that dance was just plain aweful!!! Chris Brown & Neyo are the sh*t right now! Did anyone see afterwards on the black carpet when they were talking to Chris Brown said he and Usher can have a dance off???

Name: HighlyFavored1
Comment: Not impressed..Beyonce's performance as mediocre at best..poor TI, he really needed his music...loved Jamie and that kiss with Fantasia..WOW! Busta, loved it; tribute to Chaka - loved it. Now I know India Arie is not her hair but I sure wish she would make her damn mind about it..geez! Keyshia - ugh! A whole lot of screaming going on...NeYo seemed to have a MJ moment- glad he left the hat on, he looks like a whole new creature without it. Prince, my darling Prince...always at his best! Oh yeah, Janet looks good but if she has one more surgical procedure on her nose, she won't be able to breathe. Poor Vivaca...SMGDH!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: JOII>yeah, i caught that! and you know sumpthin, i bet chris could dance circles around Usher. what do you think?

Comment: Musbdherbs~ Not a fat azz wet walrus! *screaming* Busta's azz WAS lookin' extra wide! At least he had on pants, unlike Jagged Edge....still can't get over them wearing those Manpris to an award show....tsk, tsk

Comment: It also would have been nice to see Melle Mel come on stage to do his original rap for Chaka's "I feel For You"....ChChChChaka Khan!...TI definitely can be commended for his composure..He did good, he is currently on tour so he sounded a little raspy..Sound man would be looking in the want ads right now if it were up to me..Keisha would have faired much better with back up singers who could have helped her carry the song..It is a tough song to sing..I'm sure she recorded it in sessions, which is why she needed back up...Damon Wayans was stank!

Name: HighlyFavored1
Comment: bigchassie, gm! Don't get me wrong, I love India but got dang...make up your mind! I do kinda wish though she wouldn't go bald...she looks better with hair, even if its just a fade or something

Name: bigchassie
Comment: HIGHLYFAVORED> yeah, she is a pretty gurl, but if she is going to go bald, what was up with that curly-que on her head??

Name: Thunny
Comment: Speaking of azzes, Beyonce looked so damn beautiful last night -- but where did her azz go? She lost alot of weight, but her legs were still nice and thick, but no azz. What gives?

Name: Joney
Comment: Before I read all the comments I want to add my thoughts. Beyonce - Rocked it, I liked the all girl band, she did her thing. I was a little disappointed with TI having the jeans sagging past his azz. I wish he would have worn a suit. Fantasia's hair was cute. Jaimie Foxx is a freak. I'm not a big fan of Chris Brown but I like that song he performed with Lil'Wayne. I think MJB's singing was on point. She never leave out that 2-step walk thing. I didn't like the outfit and her footwear is never cute to me. Keyshia Cole's dress looked cheap but it was cute so were the shoes. She just look hard, and there's no hope for that hair/weave. PDiddy - one word UNECESSARY!! Busta Rhymes' performance was off the chain, I'm glad everyone showed up to represent. Was Missy late to the show or something, she wasn't there to pick up her award in the beginning? I also wonder how much Busta's hype man, Spliff Star, gets paid. I wonder if Busta pay for both their outfits. Busta been eating good, he's thick. Vivica's dress was really pretty, her hair was not. She kinda looked herself but you can still see the change. Yolanda Adams did a great job and she looked good in that suit. Of course Prince showed out. On a scale of 1-5 I give the show a 4. I enjoyed it.

Name: gr8st8
Comment: The tribute to Chaka was the highlight for me. It would've been great if Melle Mel or Whitney came out there, but I enjoyed it a lot. Did not like the Cephus & Reesie performance of Fantasia & Jamie. I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit when they slobbed each other down. Did someone draw that squiqqy curl on India? I like her hair short but she could've kept that forelock! It was hot when Eminem came out. I liked B, but she was doing too much. This paled in comparison to her "Crazy In Love" performance. The all-girl band was hot. I liked Viv's dress, but that Betty White bouffant she was rocking was wack!

Comment: Vivica Fox....A DAYUM MESS!!! Said she wore that dress to add some elegance to the show...or something like that... Okay..if that is so...u got a big %*$ f*ckin tattoo on ur shoulder! Not knocking the tattoo at all....I have 6 of them....but if it is elegance that u want...the dress and tattoo was not it!!! My opinion...cover it up! Was not feeling her hair either!!!

Comment: Hold up..So was that J. Edge w/the cane dude? Tryin to be a hard core, thug-life, R&B Group has always been the bain of their existence. Keshia Cole is a singer who knows very little about the art of singing. Whenever you sing so loud and hard for tooooo long...your voice will tire. She doesn't have a bad voice..she just knows not what to do w/it. A vocal coach is in order. 'Ship.. I really think TI started off w/the chop and screwed style but it went awry. It was obvious that he couldn't hear himself. That was a major part of the problem. *still wishing that I was the palm of Jay-Z's hand*

Comment: And was anybody else's TV acting up during the Beyonce and Jay-Z performance? In Brooklyn my reception got all grainy and then it separated into large pixels making it near impossible to see anything other than a bunch of colors. I think it was BET's fault because it wasn't raining here or anything. And after the performance and they came back from commercial, it was better, but still very grainy. Why is BET like that? I can turn to the very next channel and it is crystal clear. Also, is anybody else's BET volume for the channel significantly lower than other channels? BET needs to step it up!

Comment: Beyonce, ByawnSay, Bouncy....whateva her name is...was AWFUL. That was by far the worse performance of her career and not a good look w/ an impending SOPHOMORE album and not a good luck to have her THUG lover pat her on the asssss. First, let me pay slim (bouncy) a compliment, she had guts to catch the spirit, fall out, hump, gyrate, shiver, went into near convulsions on that stage floor....OVERcompensating as usual when the rump shakin, hip gyrating failed b/c trust she lost the crowd, they were just as confused as the camera man...she was running around like a lost chicken and it was just distatesful and low grade material and immature antics confirmed Deja Pooooo is not a good song, and Bouncy needs to reinvent herself --- been there done that with CIL. Bouncy is not focused. She was planted in that seat SHUT DOWN, defeated because for once it was not all about Beyonce. Poor thing was on the brink of tears, smug expressions, dry clapping for artists. Beyonce better check herself and affiliation with Jigga because that was truly a Jigga inspired performance. Say what you want but Jigga is capitalizing on B's fading "it" status She looked like she wanted to haul tail out of that auditorium in shame. And KELLY biggin her up during the preshow. My girl gonna shut it down. Mary my girl was like, B***tches please, whateva. LOL. Beyonce push back your cd b/c you are not ready and if Beyonce doesn't stop with all this skank, I'm a video groupie on the come up antics, she is will alienate her crossover fans, and we all know how WHITEY can tear us down. B opened the door...now it's wait and see. Camel is to B what Bobby is to Whitney...IN MY OPINION. *********************Chaka Khan tribute was nice Indie Irie got some overdue shine. Prince murdered that guitar. ***Bussa Bus SHUT IT down with the angry white boy EM...DMX brought the Arizona heat...Janet was of course stunning...the good times reunion was special. ***Keiysha needs to work on her breathing, she still cool. Mary J. was just Mary...she is consistently rough around the edges although I thought Keiysha deserved Best New Artist. whateva. **Mary Mary gospel set was powerful and spirit moving. ***Michelle Williams should be politicking for appearances instead of lagging behind Kelly wack, corny, evil behind. ****LeToya's performance was an improvement and she was happy to be there and she has supporters and a growing fan base.

Comment: Also, if there was ever any question about Yung Joc and whether or not he posesses rapping talent, I hope that question was definiteively answered last night. Tha song is so hot and that dude can't even project his voice. Or was he lip synching? Amazing how these artists can get #1 songs with absolutely zero talent.

Comment: Dang! How could I forget Damon Wayans? Mostly because his hosting effort was quite forgettable. Was he drunk? Did they learn nothing from Shawn & Marlon's miserable turn hosting the MTV awards? They should've snatched his tail off the stage with a big old hook and promptly put Mo'Nique in his place. It was painful to watch him struggle. He couldn't even get his jokes out...Boo & Hiss!

Comment: Beyonce and Jay-Z's performance was straight FIRE!!! This should definitely put an end to the rumors that they are having problems because Jay is spending too much time with Rihanna. Yall seen Jay smack that azz and yall seen B hold the side of her man's pants, bend her body backwards and grind that thing all the way down to the floor. That wasn't dancing - B was giving it up and letting yall know. Rihanna WHO? Didn't like her rolling on the floor but other than that B's performance was HOT! Loved performances by Mary J. Blige, Busta and crew, Prince/Chaka/Stevie/Yolonda collabo. I agree with whoever said Jamie needs to sit at the piano. The kiss between him and Fantasia was awkward. I like Chris Brown but somebody in his camp needs to get at him about his performance. He needs to be able to dance and sing at the same time.

Name: PHScott
Comment: Thunny, where you been? Janet has ALWAYS had a nice butt. It's her breasts where she had the work done... Didn't watch the show live- I'll catch it later. I'm glad the world is FINALLY catching on to Prince being the greatest performer EVER, something I've known for over 25 years. Back in the 80s, e'rybody was a Michael Jackson fan, but never realized he was severely limited as an artist. Mike also USED to look good/normal/human, where Prince at 48 looks better than he did at 24. Perhaps it's because Prince was such a controversy back in the day that he was "distant". His past eccentricities are not seen as "artistic" and normal these days. As I said, the world caught up to him finally.

Comment: I have no idea if there was drama or beef with Jamie and the Wayans fam. I'm just saying the Wayans Brothers are making movies like White Chicks and now Little Man and Keenan has basically faded from the public eye. Meanwhile Jamie is commanding $20 mill per film and winning Oscars and Grammys and he runs things. I just wonder if there is genuine happiness for Jamie or if there's some bitter resentment. The Wayans are set for life but they don't make the type of dough Jamie does. And Jamie came on In Living Color basically toward the show's end. IT's not like he was an original cast member.

Comment: Good Morning Kings & Queens. Okay, here's my rundown of the Black People Awards...Beyonce was a bit too BOUNCY and didn't have a routine, she was just jumpin' across the stage aimlessly to me...altho I did think the pat on the butt was cute & that lil' back bend thing she was doing while holding on to J was cute. Damon Wayans was WICKITY-WICKITY WACK! He was HORRIBLE! He was really irritating me cuz he appeared aloof at times like he didn't know what to do or say, the only 1/2 funny thing that he said was that lil' gay skit. Busta Rhymes RIPPED IT! I liked Kelis' hair, but what was up w/ the biking pants or 1/2 pants 1/2 shorts? And WHY did Missy come out to perform but didn't accept her award??? And WHY didn't DMX perform w/ Busta but he performed @ the pre-show? I LOVED when Eminem came out, that was tight, but is it me or did it appear as if he didn't know the words? I don't care for Keyshia Cole and I LOATHE that song so...no comment...WHY did Chris Brown tear it up? I love that lil' boy! I'm going to his concert, I promise. One of my favorite performances was...CHAKA KAHN...CHAKA KAHN...altho she always dresses like Elvira and YES she DOES always look like a stuffed pork chop, I still love her. And she's a bit short winded too cuz Yolanda put her & errbody else to SHAME! I loved the belt that India Arie had on but what was up with the lil' swirl thing on her forhead? Well, she said she was not her hair so...whatever. His name is PRINCE...and he is FUNKY! Prince is and always WILL be da man! Love him to death! Love Stevie to death too, I would pay mega bucks to see Stevie in concert. Why did Mary have those hot as*s boots on? The cat suit was cute, but the boots had to go. I liked the last outfit she wore, it was cute. All I have to say about the kiss w/ Jamie & Fantasia is...WHY? What was the point? I think it was more of a publicity stunt than anything else. Much love to Harry Bellefonte, he's a living legend for sure. I didn't like the dress that Monique had on, but love her comments, she's funny. Vivica looked 'normal' in the face for a change (well, not from the side, just from the front). I don't know what the dress code was, but she appeared a bit over dressed. Question...why does she come to every award show? I suppose just to keep her self out there, I dunno. Diddy didn't look as well put together as he normally does. His pants looked too tight & his jacket looked to big. But I swear he was pumpin' it up w/ Young Joc (or whatever his name is). Took me back to the Puffy & Mase days. Okay, that's about all I have to say about it, did I leave anything out?

Comment: Court Nixes Part of Texas Political Map By GINA HOLLAND The Associated Press Wednesday, June 28, 2006; 10:31 AM WASHINGTON -- The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld most of the Texas congressional map engineered by former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay but threw out part, saying some of the new boundaries failed to protect minority voting rights. The fractured decision was a small victory for Democratic and minority groups who accused Republicans of an unconstitutional power grab in drawing boundaries that booted four Democratic incumbents out of office. Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, writing for the majority, said Hispanics do not have a chance to elect a candidate of their choosing under the plan. That's the feel that I get from it. Thun...both Jim Carey AND Jamie are bringin it in. I'm sure I know what their thoughts are about Carey..lol Uhm..was it me or wuz Eminem still rockin the "pants leg rolled up look?" The Busta Remix was hot, loved the Chaka tribute although she looked a bit tight in that outfit! The show was good, the surprises were good. Herbs, yes, Em was rocking the one pant leg rolled up style circa 1992! And he was wearing a do rag or wave cap. He just needs to stop! I hate wiggers! And Papoose, just like the rest of these new jack rappers, regardless of where they're from, all sound like Jay, and I'm pretty sure it's on purpose. Dick-riding isn't looked down upon in Hiphop anymore, so people just blatantly follow the next man's lead.

Comment: Thunny< when you say papoose sounds like Jay...what specifically do you mean? Are you talking about his voice? subject matter? cadence? B/c really all NY rappers (besides maybe so meone like Busta Rhymes) sound alike in terms of flow... that's why it's so surprising when they switch the flow and sound different. I mean what separates fat joe from jadakiss from jay-z from biggie? Even Jay-z is able to borrow from other rappers rhymes seamlessly b/c all their flows are very similar.

Unlike Whitney..who can't on a good day *head bowed* Notice how Chaka kept tryin to keep that front covered by that tarp she was wearing? My thing is that you shouldnt've stuffed ya PHAT AZZ in the damn outfit if it was too small. That damn piece of tire she had wrapped around her stomach almost cut the gurl circulation off. No wonder she was heavin and breavin.. Good lawd! Aw that sucks about Pap..I actually like him but he does sound just like Jay. But I do like his delivery. I used to sign with this guy who started smoking and within about 4 months he couldn’t breathe and his voice got raspy. I’m not sure if Chaka’s outfit was too tight or she just has too much body for everything she puts on. A lot of the older singers can use tips on how to dress for their body. Patti and Gladys still do a good job though. I kept wondering how Chaka felt when they showed all her skinny pictures from back in the day. She probably doesn’t recognize herself anymore. Papoose is ok but I don’t like saying that word. I guess I’m the only one in here who looks Eminem. His lyrics read like a story and he always stays on the subject of the song. She was looking like somebody stoled her bike when Mary J kept winning all the awards. snicker*** Jay Z -- was going bananas b/c his girl ain't win...going bananas -- monkey alert! Speaking of Mary - yall should have seen what she had on! Had these hot yella boots on with this jean outfit..She was looking straight like and Rainbow -- chink stores...All I got to say is you can't bring the ghetto out the girl. She did ok until she started that screaming and being off key. She can't sing live point blank! Snoop's manicure was doped out but does he really think he is an actual pimp! Hanging around the green man Bishop Don Juan too much!!! It was some shady cats at that event. DL is on the rise or what?!?!?!?!?! Chris Brown and Ne-Yo did good but CB should have kept his mouth about Usher when ole boy from BET interviewed him. Now he know, Usher don't want nobody being in front of him!!! Chaka, Stevie and Prince did a good job yesterday. Prince looking all dolled up like a pin-up magazine boy. That is a shonuff Pretty Boy! Ouuuuuuuu!!!! as he say!!! Jamie is stank nasty -- him and Fantasia. She is tacky and needs to be trained. Can we get Patti or somebody to mentor her. If Vivica gets 1 more botox, I sware her face will sink in. Her hair was so boofy and ah, she is getting washed!!! Big Bubba was so fine looking -- Ice Cube -- ye-e ye-e!!!! Busta looks good and performance was off the chain but he looks like he been in San Quentin or Rikers with that body -- Still a suspect : ) Bring back Monique and she swear she is down with the big girls but ole girl trying to lose weight too!!! Damon Wayans -- another suspect -- is so corny and dry!! Harry Belafonte -- just elegant and handsome!!! So was Lebron -- lil youngin' India Arie -- whew that girl got issues, had that lil curl in front of her hair -- go ahead and get a perm girl!!! Whoever idea was it to give Keyshia Cole a recording contract must have been high as coota brown!!! She was awfulllllllllllllll!!! I struggled through those 5 min with that Rainbow dress on. No star quality at all. Ghetto Ridiculous!!!!

Comment: I too had pixel issues while B & J were performing. I like Beyonce, I think she does good live performances, but I agree that since Crazy in Love, she has been doing that same booty shaking dance. She should have had some dancers join her on stage during the break down instead of her rolling around on the floor like she is auditioning for Flashdance or something. I liked how she and Jay Z touched each other in some way the whole time he was on stage with her. I thought that was cute and the little slap on her azz he did. T.I was professional and kept it moving but he should have done Why you wanna. Busta and the gang was pure FIYAH!! Glad to see Em is coming out of depression. PRINCE, PRINCE, PRINCE - that is all that needs to be said about him. He is the musical genius - not R. Kelly. any man who teaches himself how to play 13 musical instruments, stays true to himself and has been putting out funky hits for decades - that is one bad azz brotha. Stevie is always the bomb - somebody need to help him lose a little weight though. He and Chaka are neck and neck. Chaka can't hit those notes anymore, I thought she was drunk when she accepted her award. Yolanda carried the notes for her and India is always a refreshing change. Chris Brown and Ne-Yo showing solidarity was real classy on the part of those young brothas. STick together black people. There is enough paper for everyone without having to belittle and backstab each other. Jamie Foxx needs to stick to that piano and ballad type songs. He definitely needs to channel his "Peep This" days again. Janet looked fab, so did Bernadette. Keyshia, poor Keyshia. She does need vocal training. She should have had backup singers to help her carry the verse and she could have ad libbed a little instead of straining herself. She needs to learn to sing from the gut and not the throat. she is gonna ruin her voice singing like that.

Comment: oK I am trying to figure out where everyone was seeing Beyonce sitting in the crowd distraught and what not. SOme people are truly reaching and grasping for straws. Everytime they panned to Beyonce she was smiling, she was up on her feet for the chaka khan tribute. Her performance was HOT!!! she is probably the only artist other than Prince and Janet that I would pay to see because she puts her all into her performance and doesnt stand there and try to be cute. Her and Jay Z are together why must people keep saying its fake a business arrangement? who would be together over 5 years for business purposes. geesh anywhoo Busta tore it up and I am not a big Eminem fan but when he came up on that stage i got excited. Prince and India Irie were the only things i liked about the Chaka tribute, Stevie always seems as if he forgets his words and Yolanda was just hollerin and Chaka cant sing anymore. They should of had Erykah Badu get up there and sing. CHris Brown the dancing and performance was nice but he cant sing and dance at the same time. Keyshia cole love her cd but singing live just aint gone cut it. AND for the Love of Pete BET please bring back Monique or Will and Jada, i knew Damon Wayans was going to bomb "the he mix " skit was so stupid. Cornball %*$. ANd why do black folks always feel its necessary to use every venue as a promotional spot.

Comment: Hey Y'all - I enjoyed the Busta and Chaka tribute the most!! Overall it was a pretty good show. Bey did OK, I liked her band though, but Ms. B is going to have to pick up some new moves. Her shaking seemed a little all over but her and Jay Z were soo cute together on stage....."Bounce"...awww she let him tap it! ha ha cute....Rihanna is tall, huh and Monique looked good last night!! P'Diddy.....STOP IT!! Chaka still looks good..I could only wish Whitney could have pulled it together to be up there! I bet they was like, "OK, who is going to do Chaka tributes?" and soo many were like "Not I"!! ha ha David Banner is kind of cute there and Fantasia & Jamie........oooooohhhhh!! I thought LeToya was performing or did I miss that? Keyshia Cole gets a thumbs up too! And Remy Ma in the crowd, she looked nice, not so ghetto!! Very happy to see that!

Comment: I enjoyed the BET Awards. But I must say, I would have LOVED Chaka's Tribute even more if Whitney was there, man I miss her voice. I like Damon, but I think I would have preferred Steve & Cedric or Will/Jada or Chris Rock. I don't know, he seemed rusty or tired...he was boring! Keisha and Remy Ma know they both need to FIRE their stylist. The BET Awards is a big deal from African Americans in Music and you wear that?? I enjoyed Mary's performance. I love Yolanda Adams, they could have brought some CeCe woooo girl has some pipes on her.

Name: nycGYRL888
Comment: Damon was a bit tired last night! Everything he said or tried to make funny was just horrible. They should have given it to Marlon if they wanted a Wayans. I guess I can give me "kudos" for trying huh? They need to stick with Mo'nique...not because she is my name sake, but, because she's better at hosting! LOL

Comment: What about TI accepting the award for best video or whatever it was? Dude was so ecstatic that he sounded like he was accepting an Academy Award or a Grammy (two awards he'll never be presented with). This is still the budget azz BET Awards. It really isn't that bigt of a deal nor does it make your resume look that much better.

Name: YLawdY
Comment: I've noticed that several have posted that Beyonce was looking down or whatever. I didn't see that. If anything, JayZ was.

Comment: Yes, Chris Brown thinks that he can take Usher in a dance off. He has mentioned it once before. Now, who is geeking up this young blood? Just let him do his songs and leave the grown folk music and moves to Usher. Chris has a very nice CD, but I would like to hear what he comes up with when he turns 18 years old. Chris is just a young Usher. But he can't replace Usher.

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Thun, I believe TI was appreciative of the fact that it came from his peoples and his peers and he's relatively new to the industry. SS690, I disagree on the Chris Brown thing. I think this is one brother who could outdance Ursh! LOL! I'm glad "Golddigger" and won, cause that joint still throws me out of my seat everytime!

Name: Twizted
Comment: YLawd - I don't know what people are talking about Bey looking down. She was smiling and dancing everytime I seen her. Jay does look tired, but they probably are, they had his concert and then the awards! Pleeeasee....I can barely handle the 9-5 without a nap! Jamie Foxx sounds really good live!!

Name: Thunny
Comment: M'Ship, this is TI's 4th album. He's been in the game for a good 6-7 years. I wouldn't classify him as being relatively new to the industry. He's practically a veteran with 4 albums.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: 'Ship..Damn I was posting the same thing about TI. One thing that he's always been frank about is how appreciative he is for the opportunity he's been given. If it were me, I would be just as thankful cuz regardless of how much success u've achieved, having the love of ur peers is like nothing else. Chris Brown is young. But if he continues in the direction he's going....he'll surpass Usher. Thankfully, the BET Awards have gotten better and at least the recipients showed up this year. Or was that the Vibe Awards.

Comment: Price, I agree too. See my earlier post ^. It was energy, but it the guest artists carried the song. I think that was the remixed remix of da remix!

Name: chocdiva
Comment: Overall, I wasn't impressed. My highlights were Busta Rhymes, The Chaka Khan Tribute, and Mary J Blige. My biggest issue with the Chaka Khan tribute was India Arie. I just didn't feel her voice could match the energy on the stage and she was overshadowed by Stevie and Prince. The only person I could imagine singing "Tell Me Something Good" that could match the star power on the stage was Jill Scott. I just kept thinking, damn, Jilly from Philly would have MURDERED that song. Attitude, engergy, presence, et al. MJB is just HOT! Say what you want, but when she got grooving, it was her show. All I know is that if you see grown %*$ men in the crowd grooving and putting their hands up, someone is feeling my girl. Loved her boughettoness on the Touch It Remix as well. Damon Wayans did an awful job as host. As for as the He-mix skit, he could have had David Alan Grier join him for a "Men on BET Awards" skit that would have helped him out a lot. Didn't see Beyonce, so can't comment. TI is a SOLDIER for going through the performance with sound problems. I'm not even a fan, but I gotta give him props for that. Keyshia Cole first lines bad, I chalked it up to nerves, then she got better, then lost her breath. Poor chile. For all the hype this show got, I was disappointed overall. And what was up with all the promos above the stage? I almost fell out when I saw Jacob the Jeweler's ad. LOL For every step BET takes forward, they always manage to take a few back.

Name: Priceless
Comment: CTFU@Mother ... and them remixes of remixes of remixes can be a hot mess ... I was also surprised that Bussa Bus was looking like a pig wit the apple in the mouth ... he has been buffed for as long as I can remember

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: Price...no ur not. I didn't like it much myself. I like the version w/the females and the other version w/Loyd and pap...but not all of them in one song. That's too much. But, it was an ok performance. thechoco...I think that's what people refer to when they say.."all sound alike"..it's the accent and most of ya'll do sound the same...just off the top.

Name: Priceless
Comment: thechocolate10 & musb, I'm gon jump in y'alls convo on the NY rappers ... if I arbitrarily call off 5 names like Method Man, Jay-Z, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, Fat Joe .... those people do not sound alike to me at all

Name: MOTHERSHIP
Comment: Price, I had to peep and leeean way back when Busta came up in the beginning of the show with the "Good Times" cast before they went to commercial. I was like whose broad azz is that in all white. When I saw his brim and the back of the neck and the side shot of the face, that's when I realized it was Busta. 'Tasia gained some weight too.

Kanye West looked cute too, usually I don't dig him, but after I watched his performance on the Dave Chappelle Block Party, I have a new respect for that man!! Where in the heck is Whitney Houston at???? I hope she is making ready for a comeback!

Comment: Big Chassie - The comeback Mariah and Mary J made gives me hope!!! I like Keyshia Cole and her album is actually pretty good. She will have to get some live singing lessons though, although "Love" is ALOT of singing......I am so special, I thought TI was doing his performance sort of acapella and I liked it! Did not realize the technical difficulties!! ha ha......One thing I love about watching BET, even the old schoolers look good. Black folks look good as we age, even Chaka's MOM looked beautiful. Harry Bellafonte still looks good, I admire that about our people! The white man can't take that away and can't get it without surgery!! I love that!!

You think Fannie would have bit Jamie's tounge off?? lol! i don't know, i don't know, they probally would have bit one another, you know Jamie got those beaver teefus in the front!! lol! but that's ok i still love him. Unpredictable is nice, but his first CD is the killer. Damon Wayans needed help in hosting thats all.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: CHOCODIVA> Deborah Cox? ok, i can hear her sing that too. she will probally work that. heyell, anybody with a good voice will work that song. Keyesha just needs to get more singing lessons and learn how to hold notes without loosing your breath. you got to have a great set of lungs and pipes to belt out that song.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: TWIZTED> yep. you are right. Chaka Kahn does have a pretty mom though. strangely, Chaka does not resemble her, does she? maybe around the eyes?

Comment: Ok..i have to say it as much as i hate to. As much as BET %*$!es me off most of the time, i was ecstatically speechless that they were able to bring together Prince, Stevie, and Chaka. India and Yolanda were the frosting on the cake, and very appropriate choices. I don't think there are any other artists who could've really done Chaka's songs justice except Whitney. I can't think of any other music awards show that would've brought us that. Hats off to BET ! The show itself (what i saw of it) was really, really good. I'm proud of BET..at least for the moment.

Comment: Rapper/producer DJ Quik has begun a five-month stint in jail for %*$aulting his sister. The rapper (born David Marvin Blake) surrendered in Fontana Superior Court last week to begin his sentence. The incident occurred in 2003 when Quik pulled a gun on his sister during a family argument, according to police reports. The rapper was ordered last year to spend 45 days in jail on weekends after pleading guilty to the %*$ault, but never served his time, sources told AllHipHop.com. The avoidance resulted in a violation of Quik's probation, causing Judge Keith Davis to increase the rapper's jail time Thursday (June 22) to 150 consecutive days and ordering him to begin serving his time immediately. DJ Quik is currently enjoying success as a featured guest on the west coast remix to Chamillionaire's #1 hit, "Ridin' Dirty." The rapper/producer also recently released Greatest Hits Live at the House of Blues, a 20-track set recorded live in February 2006.

Jay Z was down b/c she might just drop his tail after Poppa Knowles rips her a new one for that booty tap. HOW DISTASTEFUL. What? Is Jigga her popcorn pimp now? There was nothing cute, endearing about that sleaziness. Bouncy needs to get back in the studio, or better yet take a respite from the business b/c her performance was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons: OVER THE TOP DRAMA! Yanking on Jigga while he was feeling himself. He is really really enjoying his reinstated 15 minutes of fame. Thanks to B. And Kelly's dumb behind cheering B when she should be BOOOOing her album push back.

To Kay-Kay - I'm not comparing B to Miss Patti either, but people have not always been nice when they've talked about Patti's "Holy Ghost moments" either. Entertaining is one thing - flopping around on the floor looking like a mop is something entirely different. She looked desperate to steal the show and it didn't work. Comment: love bey to smithereens and last night she had me feeling like i could do anything as a woman, because she put it down. i have a newfound respect for her. that being said, do i feel like someone needs to give her a little competition? yes. do i feel like the tap on the %*$ was unneccesary? yes. do i think they could come out in public like that and not be happy behind closed doors? yes. could their relationship be for biz only? hell to the yes. five years don't mean anything, there are people who are together for a lot longer than that, because they have an understanding. clearly the two of them together are magic, but that doesn't mean there's magic behind closed doors? and did you see how he was looking at her when she was singing along to sweet thing? he was looking at her like, "shut the %*$! up and sit down?" i think she needs to stand on her own, bottom line. and i think it would've been cool had she had backup dancers. the band was da bomb and the way they were moving took me back to the old jackson five days. i'm sure that wasn't an accident. janet held it down for the women over 40 her and bernadette made me feel good about being over 30. i don't think mary can sing well live either and yes keyshia desperately needs singing lessons. i thought busta and crew were off the hook and chaka and company were awesome. i think it takes a lot of guts for india arie to stay who she is and i commend her for that. my baby prince was da bomb as always. i could just sit and watch him play his guitar for hours. he is too talented. damon... i can't say anything bad about him, cause that's my baby. but... yeah. bring back monique. and monique may not be a size 2, but she is beautiful. tasia and jamie? mmm, mmm, mmm. took a lot of nerve. and yolanda. you can be a gospel artist and sing secular music. i can't believe the christians are coming down on her like that. what, she's never been in love? like steve harvey said this morning. you may love jesus, but you don't screw to "his eyes are on the sparrow." my bet volumne and color was messed up too. i'm glad it wasn't just me. vivica... she looked a hot mess. chris, didn't watch him and t.i... glad to hear that was a sound malfunction because i didn't know what the hell he was trying to do it acapella for. diddy... a person who needs the spotlight to breath. just like making the band 2, i don't think 3 is going anywhere either. it's an excuse for him to be on television. but he's still entertaining. until next year. great to see you again em. keep ya head up.
