Comment: Nightshift< I LOVE Corinne Bailey Rae. I think the comparison to Sade is b/c Corinne has that whole nonchalant singing style and lyrics that are varied. Her voice sounds a little like Nelly Furtado but more soulful. I'm so ready for this album.

Comment: Corrine Bailey Raye is a pretty girl, but her songs are vapid, and her voice is so so. I think she's a fair bit overrated myself, they've been trying to push the whole 'soul diva' down our throats here in the UK for the past six months. 'Trouble Sleeping' isn't a bad cut, all mellow and smooth like - but she doesn't have the siren notes like Sade did. My £0.02p

Comment: Her success should open the doors for US based artists who are in her same genre. Notice she had to come from the UK to be released here. Record companies here only want to sign female urban acts who producer driven.

Comment: I watched her "album release party" on VH-1 Soul and it was pretty good. Her music will not revolutionize the industry and I definitely prefer Sade, but her music is very listenable and I would buy the album. It's very light and mellow and has a melody. Most of the music is so hard to listen to these days that this is a refreshing change.

Comment: I've listened to CBR's cd daily on VH1 and am thoroughly enjoying it. I don't believe she sounds like Sade and it's unfair to make the comparison. Although - she hasn't revolutionized the music industry, I do believe she has her own "style". If nothing else, we have another listening option - which is always nice!
