Comment: vERY INSIGHTFUL, i'VE ALWAYS LIKED bILL'S MUSIC (excusse the caps). I'm glad to find out the real reason he stopped making music. The industry is cruel, racist and cold. He gives an excellent insight to some of the goings on during his time.

Comment: Mr.Withers, back then, sat back and let the industry use and abuse him..It made him an angry bitter man..Remember, he was married to actress Denise Nicholas and nearly beat her to death in a domestic dispute...I loved his music. Especially "Grandma's Hand"..I don't remember too much about my own grandma, but I'd always imagined the song being about her!..Keep your head up Mr. Withers!

Comment: TJ, I don't think anybody lets anybody use them, but I think he was shut out. I don't blame him either, never let any entity have that much power over you. I'd rather shutdown my damn self. Bill, please come back, use Prince's studio, Kanye's somebody's, just come back and bring it. You are sorely missed.

Comment: Me too golfebj..Denise Nicholas was on Room 227 (i think) and was very popular then and then the story broke that Bill Withers beat the crap out of her..changed my whole perception of him.
