Comment: Bullshirt!! A congressman or senator in Washington will embezzle millions and get slapped on the wrist and home detention. If I had to live thru the trauma of Katrina, I'd want a drink too. I know looting is wrong but....15 years?

Comment: Good, give them the max, stealing booze in that tradegy is uncalled for. If they got this sentence for stealing food or medicine, I would be outraged, Booze? What did they need 27 bottles of booze for in the days after a hurricane? Let them dry out in jail.

Comment: lol at both of these comments. I always think it's funny when you see people running down the streets with t.v. sets on their shoulders, sofa's, and stoves!

Comment: EdnaMae: Just think. Tom Delay of the great republican party stole money along with Jack Abramoff and he didn't do a day in jail and will write a book and make millions. I just say let the crime fit the time. 15 years is too long for this crime. William Jefferson, Tom Delay and those other Wash. D. C. crooks will steal more and not do 3 minutes in jail. No disrespect to ya but I just think that this is wrong and too long.

Comment: Wow! yes stealing is wrong, wrong, wrong. I think this crime deserves more like 7 years in prison. Geez this sentence is more in line for someone who robs a bank! Well seems like they tried to lie and that more than likely just aggravated the situation even more.

Comment: When you show me that yt couple that owned that nursing home and let all those elderly citizens die while strapped to their bed while the owners ran to safety; were captured on camera shopping the following week; get convicted and sentenced to some years then you can talk about prosecuting looters. Straight up bullshyt here and wasting taxpayers money incarcerating them.
