Comment: Timely message - listen to the politicians in your state, area that are up for re election and certainly get their voting records. Can't vote them in just cause they are black, the statistic quoted in this article I believe - look around - we're not being served!

Comment: McNasty, while you should seldom if ever vote on skin color, sometimes common sense tells you, a vote for a republican is just a waste, as they have a proven track record of being less interested in black America now more than ever. i saw a report that trent Lott does not even go into black neighborhoods looking for votes, he has nothing to offer them on thier issues, and isn't even willing to try as he knows he is a shoo in no matter who he runs against. The state of politcis and the AA community is only going to get worse in my book, which is why black people have to do it for themselves, the GOP and the dems aren't going to lift a finger, that is reserved for Iraq and other third world countries.

Comment: thank you for the article. It's on point, and we are truly not represented, and it's sad. Our own folks sell us out, and we don't even seem to have a recourse.
