Comment: Good morning lovely EURians!! It's 2:26am in the midwest and I have a terrible summer cold and can't breath (thus explaining why I'm still awake). I'm scared that if I take too much Nyquil and fall asleep I'll stop close my mouth and won't remember how to breath. (Yes, I know that's irrational but hey, it IS 2:26am.) I hope ya'll have a lovely Monday!!!!

Comment: Good Morning Folks...here is a blind item for you.. BLIND ITEM: Back in the day, this future (stunning) black actress was attending her family reunion. Her cousin arrived with her gorgeous new husband (who would become a celebrity in his own right). The actress and her cousin’s husband made eye contact throughout the day and they discreetly exchanged cell phone numbers. Within weeks, they were involved in a hot and passionate affair, so hot, the husband left his wife (who still doesn’t speak to her cousin) and moved in with the actress. They had a volatile relationship, and the actress would later claim, he was physically and emotionally abusive. He began to stray, she had a baby, trying to keep him; instead, he stayed away from home, days at a time. He would eventually leave her and take up house with another (famous) gorgeous black actress. Around this time, his career seemed to be taking off, he was involved in two visible projects (connected to each other) at the same time, but he would prove to be a flash in the plan. Meanwhile, his whirlwind relationship with the second black actress ended because of their mutual jealousy and his moodiness. Hints: The first black actress and her live-in man were a stunning couple who achieved ‘C,’ list status at best but both are very well known in the black community.

Comment: TJ... the stupid video heifer thinks she has wifey status with all the artist she slept with (tramp). Ms Baby Phat looks trashy.. a hot azz mess. Snoops wife must have laid the pimp hand down hard, because when she showed the 'chill-out'room (the room with all the kids in it) everyone was sitting quietly, no toys on the floor, TV set at a resonable volume,........... she tightened that azz so hard they probally was prepared to give their Easter Speach.

Comment: Good Morning Kings & Queens! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Well kids, my weekend was HELLA busy! I was runnin' 'round like a chicken w/ her head cut off all weekend! My baby boy's 10th b-day party was yesterday at the bowling alley and we had a BLAST! It WAS a surprise until my husband had diarrhea of the mouth! Anywho, we have a wonderful time. Now, for my complaint of the day...what's wrong with y'all cuzzin's? Okay, you know at these kids' parties you've gotta pay for each kid right? Okay, each kid was $13 a-piece, that included 2 hours of bowling, pizza & drinks. How 'bout 2 of my loving cousins brought THEIR friend's kids that neither me nor my son have ever seen before in our life so I had to pay for them too? WTF??? WHY do our people do such ghetto ish like that? (that's a good topic, that'll be my next post) Why the heyell would you bring somebody else's kids knowing good 'n well that me or my son don't know 'em, and expect me to pay for them? I swear, sometimes I'm just too damn nice! One of my cousins brought her boyfriend's lil' boy, but she OFFERED to pay for him and I sho' took the money too! I thought that was nice, so she's added to the 'non-ghettofabulous' list. Actually, it was $13 per kid cuz I wanted them to play an extra hour (it woulda been $10) so the pizza & drinks were extra. How 'bout the pizza's looked like TOMBSTONE pizza's & they were $9 each? This black lady was SOOOO sweet and she gave me 2 free pizzas! How 'bout the pitchers of soda WERE NOT free refills???? Well, Ms. Sweet lady saved the day again & gave me 2 free pitchers of soda. She was such a punkin! So, all & all, I didn't end up spending as much as I thought I would so I'm cool:-) Hey, I missed that Hip-Hop wives thingy, what channel was it on & when did it come on?

Suffolk County police officers, called by concerned neighbors to Hendrickson's Long Island home, said they found him dead in his bed on Monday. Hendrickson, 55, was a member of the first graduating class of the Juilliard School of Drama, along with actors Kevin Kline and Patti LuPone. He appeared on Broadway in the early 1980s as a replacement in the title role of "The Elephant Man" and in the 1984 revival of "Awake and Sing!" He played Chief of Detectives Hal Munson for more than 20 years on CBS' "As the World Turns," winning a Daytime Emmy for outstanding supporting actor in 2003. Comment: Video is Vol. 1 of Rosie's Star war Star Jones Reynolds (above) and Rosie O'Donnell (below, with Barbara Walters) first crossed talons back in 2004, when the two 'View' talkers — one coming, one going — clashed in a race debate. Star Jones Reynolds and Rosie O'Donnell say they used to be friends. But now I can reveal the precise moment when the just-fired and just-hired cohosts on "The View" became sworn enemies. It was during Rosie's appearance on the May 12, 2004, show. Daily News contributor Jawn Murray dug up the smoking videotape. The two combatants initially greeted each other warmly before trash-talking like WWE wrestlers. Rosie — who this year harshly mocked Star for less-than-candid explanations of her precipitous weight loss — started with flattery. "You look fabulous!" Rosie gushed. "It's like 'Twinkle Twinkle Shrinking Star.'" But the chat quickly turned ugly when O'Donnell suggested that women "stand up and scream" to protest Martha Stewart's felony conviction, and former prosecutor Jones Reynolds vehemently objected. Rosie: "Here's what I love. The black community said you cannot have O.J. Simpson, you cannot have Jayson …" Star: "No, excuse me! … And if the black people had a vote, they did not tell me." Rosie: "Honey! Honey, listen to what I'm saying. … The black community said you can't have the basketball player Jayson Williams, you can't have him. …" Star: "There were two black people on the jury!" Rosie: "Wait! Wait! Wait! I'm saying that as a culture, and I agree with it, black people have so few role models that they said, 'You know what? I don't care, you're not taking them!'" Star: "What???! … When did the black vote have a meeting and vote?" Rosie: "I didn't say you had a meeting, Star!" The next day on the air, Star scorched O'Donnell: "Although the mainstream media may not collectively report on black role models, trust and believe there are plenty out there, and you don't need to rally behind O.J. Simpson. I mean, that was inappropriate." I hear that Rosie was upset, but Barbara Walters tried and failed to get Star to apologize. O'Donnell and her flack were unreachable at press time. A spokesman for Star told Lowdown: "We made our last statement regarding this matter on June 29 on the 'Today' show. We have no further comment."

Comment: Sharmona> I thought the same thing. I remember him rapping about him in "Bombs Over Bagdad". I think Snoop's wife is mad that he cheated on her in the pasted. She seams to blame it all on the "groupies". His azz was out of control when he filed for divioce but remember it was "Cheaper to Keeper". That heffer had me laughing when she said that her kids lived in the burgs but were still hood. What's wrong with living in the burgs? If she feels that way she should move back. I hate when rich people think that "Being Gangsta" is still hip. Hell, when asked what she loved. She said her Range Rover and her kids. She never said anything about Snoop

Comment: ASize12, I've watched it since I was 5 years old. Me and my mom would watch it before she took me to kindergarten. She started working when I was in the 1st grade and she would tape it every day while she was at the bank and then we would watch it when we got home and after dinner. When I went to college all of my classes were scheduled around Y&R! It's a sick obsession with me. I feel so left out if I miss an episode. I wasn't sure if they had diagnosed anything official. Poor Vic is either losing his mind or he's putting on a helluva show to trick Jack into something.

Comment: Happy Monday EUR Family!! I hope all are well and had a wonderful weekend. OK, Stacy Dash has really shown the children whassup with being "40 and Fabulous" - she looks dayum good in those pics for real. She has aged very well. But for real ya'll, she has always been beautiful but she can't act a cat off the table - which is probably why she never really blew up. I guess she didn't have good talent management representation either b/c there are a lot of heffas famous now b/c they are cute at best - not based on talent.

Comment: Have a good day everybody. It's time to head in to the plantation. I'm as sick as a dog but they only give us 3 sick days every year. I have 31 vacation days but I swear I will not use a vacation/pleasure day for illness. We all keep going in sick, sitting in that incubator they call an office and getting each other sick. I'm going to go sit at my desk, and stare at my wall all day and then come home and get in the bed. Believe me, that girl was living the life, he had her set up in a condo and she was reaping the same benefits that Sherlita was. I am from Savannah and so is his wife so I do not know why they said she was born and raised in Atlanta. It is obvious Shante' is hood, she was acting like she wanted to slap the camera man, she was straight mugging the camera. Please someone tell Karrine that she is at 14:59 and counting!!!!

I went to a cookout in one of the black suburbs, very nice and quiet, can't remember the name. The humidity beat my natural curls to a pulp but the breeze was heavenly! Didn't see any cute guys though except for at the festival and they didn't look professional or high quality...where is Chicago hiding the good ones????

I must say I felt pretty good even in some of the questionable areas around Washington park, but maybe that was just my vacation mentality, In DC, Philly, and Baltimore, there's always an air of "yes i'm in a nice place but I still need to be prepared to shove my foot down somebody's throat" asize12< that's great. I have already accepted that I will never own a home here so I'm over it. I'm just on countdown to move. Don't get me wrong, this area is popping, it's lively, plenty of professional people of color, lots of goodlooking men, TOO MUCH TO DO and get into, my only complaint is that there is no space and traffic is unbearable at all times, not just rush hour.

Name: TommyStrong
Comment: bigchassie>i was in the ATL over the weekend for the wedding....they had every moment scheduled for us from Thursday on....for the most part I enjoyed myself but the traffic was horrendous! I was so stressed from the traffic the entire weekend that it kinda put a damper on things for me....we get a lot of traffic here but I know my way around so I can maneuver through it....but there if you dont know where you are going it can be stressful

Comment: >ija, don't fret sis, you'll meet the man of your dreams, get married and have tons of bae-bae kids and you'll get that dream house that you want:-) I've always wanted to visit DC, I'll have to make my way over there some time. It sounds really nice where you live, you pay for what you get. Our cost of living is fairly reasonable in St. Louis. My house was only $109,500 and it's in a nice neighborhood with my people that are ALL homeowners (that I know of) so everyone's property is very well kept and it's less than 10 min. from my momma's house so I love the location. Hate the school district tho, my kids will be going to their same schools, I'll just take them everyday (my daughter will catch the metrolink).

Comment: IJA~Safety in Chicago is about the same in other big cities. Since it was a big event, it was cleaned up and extra security. I think most Chicagoans put on their best behavior for big events, we don't want to scare the tourist.

My cousin moved from Alexandria, VA where she was paying $1400/mo for what was basically a closet to ATL/Ellenwood where she just closed on a 4 br, 2ba, etc. new construction with a mortgage of less then $1,000/mo. COLLARD GREEN EGG ROLLS? That sounds way too ghetto. CTFU

Comment: Sorry bigchassie, but Jamie is starting to work on my nerves. What you weren't grown at 33? WTF? Jamie Foxx Says LL Cool J Feud Is Behind Him — 'We're Grown Now' 07.10.2006 Former foes plan movie project after collaborating on LL's album, onstage. LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx Photo: Walik Gashorn Jamie and LL Cool J really couldn't have started their relationship off any worse. While filming "Any Given Sunday" in 1999, the two actually fought on the set and the Miami-Dade County Police had to get involved (see Photos, audio and video from this story Jamie Foxx "DJ Play a Love Song" Unpredictable (J Records) LL Cool J "Control Myself" Todd Smith (Def Jam) Busta Rhymes, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, T.I., Jamie Foxx And More At Summer Jam 2006 In Focus: Jamie Foxx "LL Cool J, Jamie Foxx Exchange Blows On Set Of Oliver Stone Football Flick"). Well, time has obviously settled their differences. Foxx popped up on LL's recent Todd Smith LP, and at June's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert, Jamie brought him out as a special guest (see "Where's The Beef? T.I., Busta, Mary J., Diplomats Keep Summer Jam Light On Drama"). The two performed together and Foxx even said he wanted to be LL's hypeman. So what's up with all the love between the onetime adversaries? Foxx said it's just growth. "I was in Miami at one of the [Heat] games," Academy Award winner Foxx said July 2 at the Essence Music Festival in Houston (see "Mary J., LL Cool J Heat Up Essence Fest, But Bobby Brown Steals Show"). "He had done his thing, got himself together, was selling records," Foxx continued. "It was right after the Oscars. We looked at each other like, 'Why we wasting all this time? Let's get together and do some music, do some movies.' 'Cause I also mentioned to him about black superheroes. I said, 'My man, you the only cat that can really pull this off.' There's this black superhero called Panther. So we started talking about that, did a couple of records together. When you're grown, you don't really have time for all that [beefing]. When you're young, it's cool to have your emotions on your chest. But we're grown now."

Comment: WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE????Debbie Rowe to Jacko -- "I Need Cash, STAT!" Posted Jul 7th 2006 9:22PM by TMZ Staff Filed under: Celebrity Justice, Wacky and Weird Michael Jackson's ex-wife claims the singer owes her a fortune and that she desperately needs money. She says she "sits on the brink of bankruptcy." TMZ obtained a motion filed by Debbie Rowe, asking a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge to order Jackson to pay her $50,000 in living expenses for the next four months. In the legal papers Rowe claims she needs the money to continue her fight for the custody of the couple's two children. Rowe is also asking for $195,000 in legal fees. Comment: Chassie<< my email is goldenandgorgeous@yahoo.com. YlawdY< LMAO! It is TOO a skirt and will be put to good use on Mr. Evil himself. I'm thinking I already ordered the smallest size so I may have to take it somewhere and get it fixed. Joney< yes I ate the collard green egg roll with the honey mustard sauce...it was VERY GOOD and VERY SMALL. It really wasn't worth 3 tickets though. I wonder if I can find a recipe for that online. I would have been better off using 5 tickets to get a whole eggroll and some chicken. The best things I ate were the tuscan crab cake, the ribs (not from sweet baby rays or whatever, from the all black place), and the turtle cheesecake was indescribable!! asize12< you can't even get a box in DC for 109,000. And I mean that literally. A small rambler that has like 900 sq ft is gonna run you at least 250,000 that that's on the low end of PG County. A 600 sq foot condo in Arlington will run you 600,000.

Comment: YLAWDY>yeah, i remember Jamie talking about this in his standup show, when he and LL was filming "Any Given Sunday" i think they were both starting to smell themselves at the time, but Jamie had to realize that L L been out there a long time way before he started out in music. well. in the stand up show, Jamie stated that there was a scene when he and LL were at the party and it seems that LL really got into his part and hit Jamie for real. of course, Jamie wasn't having it. but i guess they both realized they were both acting kind of childish, which i can see happening between actors/entertainers. so i'm not surprised.

Comment: IJA ~ You're probably talking about Robinson's. Since we're talking about food, have anyone ever heard of Garlic Fries. I just spoke to my friend in ATL and she can't wait to get back home (Chicago) for some Garlic Fries and a Gyro. I figure it's just a Chicago thing. Actually it's probably a south suburb thing 'cause I haven't heard of any fast food restaurants selling them in the City. Anyway, Garlic Fries are French Fries fried and then butter and garlic poured over them. They are good, but your breath be stank for days.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: IJA>what area in the ATL did you find that price? why do i get the feeling that was problally in Marietta, or Alpharetta, are you looking for a house?? 1200 a month for a 900 square foot, Apartment??? let me know what area did you look into, sweetie. depending on what you are looking for, i know you can find something cheaper.

Name: ImJustAsking
Comment: Joney, where do you live now? yes I heard of garlic friends, In fact, trader joes sells them in the frozen food department with a garlic pack. They're quite tasty. I don't know why Chicagoans have to eat hotdogs with tomatoes, lettuce, and a pickle in their hotdog bun. Ew! AND NO SAUERRKRAUT!!! The man looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for it and I told him I don't want anything on my hotdog 'cept onions and mustard. hmph!

Name: ImJustAsking
Comment: That was garlic fries not friends! Chassie< the $1200 for a 900 sq foot apt is in DC, the things I saw in Atl were WAYYYYY cheaper. That's why I'm mad and I can't wait to move.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: IJA>I just sent it again. let me know you got it, ok.

Name: Joney
Comment: IJA ~ I'm still in Chicago, the South Suburbs to be exact. I'mmahafta (short for I'm going to have to) tell my friend she can get Garlic Fries from Trader Joes if they have one in ATL. I don't like tomatoes and lettuce on my hotdogs either, only ketchup and sometimes mustard. But yeah the Chicago Hotdog is lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions, the works!!

Name: bigchassie
Comment: IJA>yeah, you are right, rent is cheaper here in the ATL. shoot, i pay 665 for a two bedroom apt. it's almost 900 sq feet, but it has a washer and dryer and a patio and dishwasher. so it's homey. but now in places like Marietta and Alpharetta, you are going to pay much more but it generally depends on what you are looking for and where.

I'm using my trip to ATL at the end of the month to try to decide between Miami or ATL as a next move. I have a feeling that Miami will lose out b/c ATL is a more long term commitment...but I would LOVE to buy a condo on South Beach while I'm still young and single.

Comment: IJA>WAIT A MINUTE..I JUST READ WHAT YOU SAID....A 600SQUARE FOOT CONDO IS WHAT???!!! 600.000. GURL, YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING!! OH MY GAWD! THAT IS REDICULOUS! AND PEOPLE ARE PAYING FOR THIS???? THEY GOT TO HAVE SOME SERIOUS ATMOSPHERE! BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, NOW THAT YOU MENTIONED IT, THAT IS WHAT YOU PAY IF YOU LIVE HERE IN MIDTOWN.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: IJA>Well, that is a good idea checking out both places before you choose. have you been to the ATL before?

Name: asize12
Comment: >Joney, faget what ylawd talkin' 'bout, I think the collard green egg rolls sound delish! LOL >IJA, so did I miss something? You moving to ATL? Why (if I may be so nosey)? >momma chass, that's reasonable for a 2 br, especially in Atlanta. A nice 2 br apt. in St. Louis in a good neighborhood will run you about $400 to $600 (the higher costed ones are more than likely gonna be townhouses). It's cheap to live here, that's why a lot of folks by property here and turn it over for a profit. That's very popular here. >Joney, girl I LOVE Chicago style hot dogs/polish! I like mustard, ketchup, & onions on mine! Mmmm-mmmm!

Building homes starting at the low 300K & 400K - and I'm thinking where are these folks working in this area to afford that? I purchased a condo when I first moved here and I am ready to move on to a house now.

Name: bigchassie
Comment: ASIZE12> You know, i like lofts too. but to me it depends on the individual. now if you have a fairly large family, i wouldn't recommend a loft, but then again, it depends on the individual. i would love to live in a loft because i like the modern eclectic style. oh so metro, but you also pay for that kind of style too. lofts in downtown atlanta are rediculous in price. there are some lofts that sell for a million. I'LL BE BACK YALL. GOTTA GO OUTSIDE FOR BREAK.

Or is not producing the baby a hype promoting move? Inquiring minds want to know.

Comment: Beyoncé Knowles is on the shortlist to play grizzled protest singer Bob Dylan. The 'Bootlicious' singer is one of several black female stars being considered to play Dylan in a biopic of his life after the director, Todd Haynes, announced he was searching for a woman to do justice to the white Jewish singer's "inner blackness". Seven actors - including the black woman - will portray Dylan during different eras in his 43-year career, starting in the 1960s when his song, 'The Times They Are Changin' became an anti-war anthem. Other female stars in line to play Dylan include tennis champion Venus Williams and TV presenter Oprah Winfrey. Although it is quite common in film biopics for characters to be played by more then one actor, it is extremely rare for them to change sex or race. Haynes, whose previous work has earned him an Oscar nomination, says he wants to hire various actors to take on the role as Dylan was "too complex" to be played by a conventional actor. He added: "I am setting out to explode the idea that anybody can be depicted in a single self."
