Comment: Ylawd I'm thinking just like MiJac, Prince is finding his religion too restrictive and maybe like MiJac has decided to renounce that religion. Also their divorce rate may be low but the rate of depression among the wives is extremely high so I think I'd take the divorce and find another religion to study. If you look closely at Prince you can see his natural aging process, no need for the vivica refreshing treatment.

Comment: Prince's mother is a black woman. When the movie "Purple Rain" came out with a white woman cast as his mother, the truth came out. A photo was released of his real mother. She was a plump, light skinned black woman. Maybe she was biracial, but she was definitely a sister. There was never a response given from Prince regarding his choice of a white woman to play his mother in the movie.

It was 1:00 p.m. on a hot Friday, and we stood right in front of each other- he in full concert-wear (with full stage makeup and very high heels). I was wearing flat tennis shoes and I'm only 5'3". I'd always heard he was short, but come on! He was NOT amused- and no, he wasn't getting ready to go to a concert. I was later told by people at the other (very nice) offices that they saw him fairly frequently and that he always dressed like that.

When he accepted a Lifetime Achievement award (I think it was at the Soul Train Music Awards or something like that) He said to the audience that he was very proud to share the stage with Stevie Wonder (who presented him with the award) who won so many Grammies in '76 that it made him very proud to be a black person. He is not confused. He is just not trying to share all of his business with the world. And when some of his business DOES come out, he does not explain A DAMN THING. That may confuse other people but he is not confused. He seems to be VERY CLEAR about who he is.

Comment: Some clarifications: Prince's mother was NOT white. The filmmakers made the decision to cast a white woman as his mother in Purple Rain for crossover appeal. Purple Rain was not a bio pic. It was loosely based on Prince's life. Both of his parents are deceased.
Prince has dated all kinds of women. As for black women, Prince dated Nona Gaye for three years. Nona is a "real" black woman and she is quite tall. Prince also dated Cat who was a "real" black woman.
As for Prince being gay. Like another poster said, in all this time someone would have outed him if he was gay. There has never been a murmur in the media about Prince being gay because everyone knows that he isn't. The public speculates because of his style, but others know his love of women is legendary. His insatiable appetite for the ladies is probably one of the reasons for his divorce.
