That said, I find her appealing visually with something to be desired lyrically. She’s not the best vocalist by any means but a good entertainer nonetheless. Comment: I agree with Fuzzygoss but she is not too bad of a performer. One credit I have to give her is that she helps produces her own albums and she writes alot of her own music. She is not the best of the best but she is better than some of those other chics like Ashanti, Keyshia Cole, etc. But one thing I have noticed about Beyonce is that she always seems to find faults about herself in interviews. If something goes wrong she seems to blame herself. Sometimes I wonder if she over performs to hide some deep insecurities. Don't know??? But it also appears that she is under alot pressure to keep up with this star status quo she has created for herself and hopefully she won't over do it and lead herself down the wrong area like many of the stars who have breakdowns and go to drugs and and alcohol.

I happened to agree though, I was through with her performance with Prince once she put her hand on him and started swinging her hair dancing on him. PRINCE IS NOT JAY-Z. You could tell from his face and demeanor he didn’t appreciate what she did and he looked as though he withdrew from the performance at that point. After the show, a reporter asked Prince if he liked any of the artists that are out now, and he said something about artists today trying too hard to be sexy, and that the lyrics aren't meaningful and don't speak to you anymore, but that he really likes Alicia Keys.

But now they are starting to turn on her, it always happens that way. It doesn't help that the media was a bigger fan of hers than were the critics and the general public, that's how we get the term "over-exposed" or "over-rated" because you keep seeing this person on TV that you're lukewarm about and you keep wondering why the media keeps telling you they are so great. The media built her up and now they are taking the liberty of the tearing her down process. It happens to all superstars. If she is the talent people say she is, she'll be ok.

As you know, LeToya Luckett's self-titled CD was released yesterday (7/25) and is expected to do well on the strength of her hit "Torn". Not to be outdone, LeToya's former band member Beeyawnce (pronounced Bee-yawn-ce) pulled a catty move by making her album "B'Day" available for pre-order on iTunes, thereby undercutting LeToya's sales.
Beeyawnce's album was originally scheduled for release Sept. 5 but the pre-order was pushed up 2 months in advance. Beeyawnce just couldn't resist giving the ex-Destiny's Child member a virtual %*$!( slap. I think somebody skirred w/a lil bit of hate on the side.

I will say this (although it may %*$! some of y'all off..): The one thing that bothers me about this board and this site is just how hard Black women can be on each other. A lot of the negativity towards B comes from the women here.
