Comment: if anyone in the ATL reading this, i will be at the Magic Johnson Theatre on saterday checking this movie out. if you care to come join me, feel free, but i will be there, front row and center. i saw previews of this movie and to be honest, in one word: HOT! (and i'm not saying that because my Jamie is in this...ok, maybe i'm lying...a little *grin*) but it's a must see. I like Micheal Mann's way of putting a movie together. he makes his actors do deep research on what they are supposed to do to enhance the character they are portraying. and he gets real people in the profession to assist them in making the movie more authentic. to me this is like the monster that is born out of the light, pastel colored, chic version of the TV show. so grab your seatbelts and get ready to ride, because i have a hunch this movie is going to be no joke! where is my popcorn?

Comment: Hey, bigchassie.... I said out loud that I wasn't trying to see this movie except on a FREE DVD.... But I'm planning an afternoon break from my studies and so I was trying to decide which movie to see and um... I'm actually considering MV. (Sigh) It's not getting the greatest reviews...but that's not saying much.... I guess I shouldn't expect much and just enjoy it for the ride.

Comment: OK, not to throw salt but I saw Miami Vice last night at a private screening and....I was very disappointed. I am a huge fan of the tv series and the film did not do it justice. The best part of the movie was the photography. It was breathtaking. I know that the film had to me updated but if they were going to do such a poor job at the remake, I would have rather seen an older Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas on screen.

Comment: I'll take a look at it. The darker side of this whole Vice thing seems interesting. And it is a break from the poor fare that has been offered this summer. I'm really not into Pirates and so forth. I like action sequences, but I'm not much for graphic violence. Some of the reviews indicate that is plentiful.
