Comment: I was praying that Don Cheadle would be cast in this movie. I don't think I ever saw him cast as a gangster except for "Colors". It was such a small part though. Anyway, that would have been interesting.

Comment: I'm also sick of rappers being cast in big movies. But I will say this: I dig T.I. representation and personality. He doesn't totally promote the typical gansgter life but moreso on just making from where he's come from. The Brother is always dressed nicely on awards shows...oftentimes kinda fly.

Comment: Benicio Del Torro would be a much better draw than Russell Crowe. He's a stronger actor.
I'm a big Denzel fan, but I'm not sure I'm ready to see him as a drug dealer.
In any event, I'm sure he'll make the role memorable. Also, I don't like seeing roles go to rappers when talented actors are without work.

Even Angela B%*$et who's a great actress. But, whenever u hear of "why didn't they cast [insert name]" those names are are always mentioned.

Comment: Forget about Cheadle, Russel and Denzel can handle it. They both are great! I can't wait to see this movie. I think a lot of the rappers are cast because they have more insight on what gangster is. Also a lot of people are into rap and they draw a big box office whenever any of them are in a movie. Besides - rappers acting is the new in thing going on now in Hollywood. Check out Outkast new movie Idlewood. I am sure that movie will be awesome!

Comment: I also prefer Benicio Del Toro over Russell Crowe. It's interesting that he's in this movie. Remember the year that Halle and Denzel won their Oscars ? Russell was in the running for "A Beautiful Mind", and after they announced Denzel as the winner, he kinda had a look on his face like "i should've won, and he only got it because it's the Black year". Maybe i read his face wrong (and i hope i did), but that's what it looked like to me. As for Don Cheadle, i've had a hard crush on him ever since he played Ice Tray on "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". He has a beautiful smile, and is a wonderful actor.

Comment: People it is called EVOLVING, why cant a rapper make movies. LL is doing a damn good job at it and I think TI, Andre from Outkast and Will Smith are great representations of that. I say do what you do you cant rap forever. Cause folks in here will say in a minute isnt he like 40 and he still rappin? But you complain when they want to act. Damned if they do and damned if they dont. Oh yes Ice Cube and Queen Latifah also.

Comment: MsFresno, I totally agree with your comment. Let them rappers work any way they can to keep them off the street doing drive bys and selling drugs. I am proud of them, at least they are advancing in life. Maybe the out of work actors should become rappers so they can get an acting job (smile).

Comment: Idlewood will be out the 2nd week in August here in DC. I am unsure of the dates in other cities. I love Denzel, TI is cute too! Cheadle to me is ugly (I don't like calling brothers ugly) but he has so much personality and character until it makes him cute!
