Comment: DCGG>, I agree but the bottom line is this, record deal = maybe a $.60 cent per sale royalty (minus the advance); independent release where the artist owns the master = up to $7.00 per sale royalty...folks are waking up to the fact that you only need a major deal if you are gonna get major marketing. If you already have a base you really don't need them.
