Comment: I'm not suprised. Though she can sang she's never been a great stage performer. I've got every CD she's done but still won't bother to see her when she comes to Dallas in September. I'm a fan of her voice and lyrics but her presence is lacking....and don't get me started on those whorish oufits usually worn by those who can't sing.

Comment: My thing is this. I've liked her from day one, along with other artists. I'm also seeing her here tomorrow in Atlanta, but why is it that a singer's appearance is always being ragged on? I would listen to her regardless of what she looked like, because that is what made me interested in her from day one. Her voice, here lyrics, her music stands out still from most of the singers that are out today. Granted, she's not perfect, but who is?

As someone said, she could sit on a stool in a nice evening dress that covers her and people would be happy to see her as long as she sings the heck of her songs as she is capable...that's all I'm saying...

Comment: Now, now. All she needs is a good stylist and some class. That said, the girl can sing. I like Fly Like A Bird and I Wish You Knew on the Mimi cd. I got so tired of hearing We Belong Together that I thought I would puke. You got to give it to the girl, though. She made one heck of a comeback. They said she was washed up, crazy and through. She showed them all with her resilience and God-given talent. I salute her, but I wouldn't pay a penny to see her perform live.

She has longevity, and has stayed out of trouble while still making music. Yeah, she might were things that people may not like, but if you had millions of dollars like she does, sooner or later you'd probably be wearing something a little out of the ordinary too. Again, why is it such a big deal on how these people look like? If she was a model, that would be different. But I don't buy peoples music for the way they look.

Just like u don't buy music for the way people look, why should folks go to a concert to see multiple costumes changes when they are there to hear the songs,and then she is only singing snippets of the songs cause she is spending time back stage changing clothes. If she was a model we wouldn't go for the songs but the clothes changing. This is not a catwalk but a concert.

Comment: When I listen to a CD I really do not care what the artist looks like. Is anyone aware of supply and demand? Everyone on here is always yapping about the low supply of "quality" singers out there. However, it appears that the public is drawn to so-called attractive singers. Black ones include Ashanti, Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Ciara, Cassie, Aaliah, etc. White ones include Jessica Simpson, Brittany Spears, Madonna, Faith Hill, Lindsey Lohan, etc. So if you look good, you can get a record deal and actually get promoted.

Comment: Well unless folks wanted a fashion show I'm sure they weren't happy about the costume changes but at least she came with the vocals based on this review .... I wouldn't pay 2 cents to see Mariah perform though *shrugging shoulders*

Comment: Yall just don't know. The show was terrible. and there was not a sell out crowd. There was no buzz in MIA.. (hell Rick Ross Alblum release party got a better run) Anyway I had a extra ticket to sell and All I got was $10 lousy dollars!!! If you have not bought a ticket...good. If you did sell now before the reviews get too bad.

Comment: CDUB>say what?? all you got was 10.00?? aww man, that is coldblooded. that is sad. if it's like that then lady Mimi need a serious emergency revamping of her concert if she is gonna go on with this tour because she is going to be loosing a lot of money and the promoters will not be happy about that. but i like the simple (and elegant) concept of her just simply sitting on a stool in a pretty gown and sing the songs her way. the constant changes are unessary and time consuming. Patti didn't do it, Nor Diana Ross. to me the only time you do costume changes is that you are shooting a special for TV. well, i hope all goes well with her because she is a wonderful singer.

Comment: I think it's downright disrespectful and hypocritical of a "gospel choir" to appear in a show with a bikini-clad singer. Maybe she wasn't wearing it at the time they sang, but it was the same program. I am SO tired of these boob-baring, butt-jigglin' babes wanting to show how down they is with the Lord and all. When you REALLY down with the Lord, you are beyond all that obession with sex stuff!

Now as far as respect is concerned, that comes with age. If you're around long enough til your 50's & 60's, you'll get it. Doesn't matter what you did in the past. All tends to be forgiven. She can't hit her high notes live. I don't mean the dog whistle notes. It amazes me that people can't tell. And yes, even in her supposed LIVE concerts, the difficult stuff is prerecorded. Different recording from the CD, but recorded nonetheless.
