Comment: Good for these gay groups, all this negative portraying of black men, gay, straight or any other way is just ridicolus. Why is it that black men always have to be seen with some sort of violence to get a point across, when the majoirty are hard working men, just like men of other races.

Comment: It is about AIDS not color. People need to get over it!

Comment: First of all, I don't see why this is only geared towards gay/bisexual groups. Why not towards me? For one, HIV/AIDS is hitting all of us, not just the gay dudes, and, besides, a gun is pretty much saying it all. I, personally, do not see a problem with using a gun in the ad. Violence is here and we all know it. Shoot, stop the violence and you stop the hurt feelings.

Comment: Eastwood, I'm with you. The concept that HIV/AIDS is a gay/bisexual disease is what's killing folks. Especially when African American women are the highest group affected. I personally thing the "bullet" concept works -- just change it from a Black man to a Black woman -- since she is the hardest hit by this disease.

Comment: Well, i for one will always have an issue when they put black people in a bad light. Aids is a killer, and we all know, it has hit the black community harder than any other grioup due to poor information and no education. There are plenty of ways to get the message out there on a billboard, but, to have to use guns in it stinks, just like the black on black violence that rips the commuinty apart. It sends out the same old message, the black folks will only get it the messge if it is done in a vilonet way, since they are all such violent, uneducated people that won't get the message that we send out to whites and other groups. There is something called sensitvity, and its used for other groups in advertisng, why can't it be for black folks as well?
