Comment: ...Is'nt there one story, one story where a Blackman or Blackwomen comes back to the ghetto/hood and makes a difference?...Oh yeah, Lean on me...but that was just one...I too am tired of the Tarzan syndrome

Comment: Boots don't forget the Marva Collins story. It had Cecily Tyson in the lead role and Morgan Freeman played her husband. It was a really good TV-movie.

Comment: You go, errrnay! He does roles you can get into and sink your teeth in. From OZ, to Marva Collins. I love a rarified, diversified actor!

Comment: I'm surprised to learn that he's 60. I thought he was in his late 40's or early 50's at the most.

Comment: Ernie Hudson is a great actor. He doesn't get enough roles. Same thing with Lou Gossett (what a wonderful actor) and Richard Roundtree. It's heartbreaking to hear how we treat people when they get past 50. It's as if we think they no longer matter. When I read Diannh Carroll say she was surprised to get the call.... was shocked they still wanted her. She said she was prepared to just sit on the beach. How sad that this talented, beautiful woman (did you see how she looks at 71... WOW) felt no longer needed or wanted. We need to realize that our older generation are JEWELS. Diannh can sure teach the younger actresses something about CLASS (something that girl that defecated on herself on Flavor of Luv could learn).

Comment: Fairydust777, say it again. I love speaking to my elders. Those older folk can put you on to things in life that when you see it, you know what it is and avoid going down that road. I love caucusing with a 80 or 90 year old. They truly can teach you some things, and they are funny as hell too. The Asians rever their elders and that's one of the reasons they are so seasoned in manner and deportment.

Comment: Great actor. It's a shame he is starring in a mighty whitey film.

Comment: He's a good actor, so I want him to be careful on Desperate Housewives. I saw how they did Alfre Woodard 'nem. Next thing, the writers will have him chasing down those girls and going crazy and shooting up the place. Also, if he wants people to actually see that Snoop movie, Imma need him not to say it “actually turned out not bad for a horror movie.” That's not a good review. ha ha ha.

Comment: do your thing, ernie. that was spoken like a true old school warrior. he is a true thespian who takes roles that are not degrading (they may shed some much needed light) which is the whole point....you can't always be the hero in a story. he will always be a fave of mine, him and your boy (the black stepfather from There's Something About Mary and he played a DEMON in "Requim to a Dream")
