Comment: Finally, someone who makes sense on this subject. The world powers, including the UN, are more focussed on trying to find ways to manipulate these crisises[sp?] for their own advantage, while the innocent and the oppressed, on all sides suffer.

Comment: As for dealing with life style issues JCP is on point however, when addressing political issues JCP continually parrots the same rightwing GOP lies. Israel complains that Hezbollah kidnapped 2 of its soldiers when in fact Israel has jailed, assinated thousands of arabs. They were strangling the Palestenians economically simply because they elected Hamas government. Israel has repeatedly violated human rights with targeted assinations and attacks on civilians and infrastructure. At some point people are going to get sick of that shyt and hit back. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!!

Comment: Israel isnt perfect, and a reasonable person can find fault with both sides. But fundamentally, the Arab nations have long had this obsession with destroying Israel. As long as they harbor these desires to do this, there will always be conflict there. Most of these goverments are opppressive toward their own people, and have done little to develop their economies and their societies to modern standards. Meanwhile Israel has become the a proserous democracy in the middle of all its enemies. These arab states should stop trying to deflect their attention from their own failures and focus on themselves rather than israel. And its too bad these people havent bothered to pay attention to what the Bible says about this. One day they're going to come against Israel once too often, and get destroyed in the process. They're just setting themselves up for their own destruction and dont even know it. How sad.

Comment: "Israel isn't perfect" That is a MAJOR UNDERSTATEMENT!! Where do you come up with this shyt. The bible is always thrown in for good measure. When Israel was established in 1948 by the British and the US, there were Arabs living on that land. During white minority rule in South Africa, both Israel and SA crosstrained security forces. They both developed nuclear weapons jointly nearly starting WW3 in the process. Isreal has violated some 400 UN resolutions regarding crimes against hunanity. Their former president Ariel Sharon is accused of war crimes. Until recently Israel was a pariah state. If you are not a white jew living in Israel you are treated like shyt just like Africans were treated under aparthied. Smooth quit comin with that dumbshyt!!!

Comment: KOFI... first of all calm down. Its just a message board here, not life and death. Yes I said Israel isnt perfect, and neither is the Arab world. You can find fault with both sides, but obviously you want to find faulth with only one. You act like you dont know that theres a lot of racism in the Arab world against black people today, like you dont know that slavery of blacks (especially Sudanese blacks) still exist in some parts of the Arab world... Maybe you dont know that most of these countries treat women like 3rd class citizens, their have no freedom of speech, and conversion from Islam to Christianity is illegal, and in some cases you do so at risk of your life. You talk about crimes against humanity... dont u think killing someone for choosing a particular religion is a crime against humanity? Yet this is ingrained in Arab/Muslim culture througout the Middle East. Think about that.You also act like you dont know that Israel has never instigated any of the wars with the arabs, (1948,1967,1973 etc). Its the arab world that has tried repeatedly to push Israel into the sea. These silly people dont realize that Israel is here to stay; Israel isn't going anywhere, so they should get over their obsession with destroying Israel, and work on their own issues. And people like you need to acknowledge that there are 2 sides to this story, and stop making it seem like its a good-side/bad-side situation. If you're more sympathetic to the Arabs, fine, thats youre right. Some of us are more sympathetic to Israel so deal with it, and at least be intellectually honest and stop acting like the Arabs have been a bunch of angels throughout all this, cuz they havent. Take those blinders off.

This conflict is depicted as poor Israel defending itself from fanatical Arab terrorist. Israel does not have a right the exist. Neither does Kuwait, Iraq, Iran, Qutar. These countries were simply drawn on a map after WW2. They were part of the Ottoman Empire. For all practical purposes these countries are not going anywhere. I would agree that Arabs can be very racist. The genocide in the Darfaur Region in Sudan is being committed by Arabs against black Africans. We all have our dealings with the Arab grocer down the street. My point is that Israel provoked this shyt by not only attacking Hamas but committing genocidal acts against civilians. How would you feel if someone took your home and claimed it as their own, segrated you into a small city and crammed 2 million people into that city? If you tried to resist, they could come and bulldoze the house you are now living in. They control the water and all highways in and out of your neighborhood. These same people tell the world you have your own city and they can't understand why you would attack. This is what is happening the the Palestinians everyday in the West Bank and Gaza Strip while the world turns a blind eye.
