Just substitute 'basketball coach' or 'math teacher' or 'you-name-it' for swim coach. I hate to hear that his sticom has been canceled! It was about the only Black sticom that wasn't like all the others...you know the ones where there's the plots are thin as paper, old as dirt, and EVERY episode you can COUNT on someone saying "Oh no you di'n't!" while wobbling her neck. Oh well, I guess we as a people simply LIKE the predictable and shallow when it comes to entertainment.

Comment: Whatabout the Pimp who inspires a bunch of inner city kids to go out and start Pimping and hoeing 'cuse we all know pimping ain't easy...This pimp uses unconventional pimping techniques to teach and reach kids who otherwise would just be pushed through the educational system. These kids learn the art of dressing the part, pimp-speak, the pimp-slap, seeking out the right type of girl for hoeing, ie. low self esteem, daddy issues, ect...Now, I know this would do boffo box office

Comment: I am so sick of FOX!!!!!!!!! I can not believe they cancelled the Bernie Mac show. FOX only uses Negroes to get the audience, then drops the shows at the top of their ratings game (can anyone say LIVING SINGLE & NY UNDERCOVER) For years, Bernie Mac show was listed as a top show in black households, and now FOX goes and cancels it......WE NEED OUR OWN!!!!!!!! I'm so sick of the status quo and there isn't any QUALITY programs on television.

Comment: I have to agree with you Pamalicious about FOX. They have a history of doing this with black tv shows and it's very unfortunate. The Bernie Mac show was probaley the only show I could relate to, because of him being a middle class, middle age, hip hop, old school brother, with family that he was real into. His wife classy, fine and sexy as all get out. Vanessa was really coming on her own in terms of being mature and bringing and emotional sprite to the show. I used to love it when she spoke her uncle's jargon (This some bull!) or how about when she made that song about her uncle calling it Big Foot Blues.And Jordon came from being a fragil frail little boy to a fun loving prankster that obviously loved his uncle and aunt. ( I really thought that Jordon may had the potential to be a real TV teenage black heart throb.I notice how my 10 year old daughter and her girl friends etc. really enjoyed Jordon antics. I also suspected that Babygirl was growing to be the sassy one like her auntie.I really believe that this show had at least a good two more years.I don't beleive that there is an other black family comedy for my demographic age group. I watched Everybody hates Chris it's okay, but truth be told the wifey is a little bit to onerous for me I woulda beat her until the white meat show along time ago!!! And Bernie if you are reading this I just gotha say job well done. And I wish you more continuous success.
