Comment: Gurlfrand, they waited too long to capitalise on the media hype. The hype reached its peak in May/June and them putting out the movie so late (after the idea became an old meme) is the reason for the sluggish sales. I'm sure that Snakes on a Plane will kill on DVD though. It might become a cult classic, because of the funny one liners especially Jackson's line.
