Comment: Right now this is merely an allegation, but if an investigation proves this to be true - not only should the bus driver be fired and face civil rights charges, the school district will have to settle a lawsuit (that's bound to happen). We all know racism still exists within our nation - we just don't expect it to be so blatant.

Comment: This is a darn sham that ignorance is still accepted in LA.I saw this on the news last night and the superintendent could not say with certainty that this psycho would be fired.I wish she would have disrespected my children in this manner.2006 or 1956.Whatever Man!

Comment: Clarence Thomas, Armstrong Williams, Thomas Sowell, Rush Slimbaugh and others of their ilk will find a reason to exonerate this fool. Speaking of Armstrong...haven't seen or heard from him lately. Ever since he got that "under the table" money from the republicans, the 'brother' has been kinda quiet.

Comment: One bad apple ruins the bunch. I agree if this person did this in this day and age, the are probably other racial thing going on in that town. But it IS Louisiana- this would not happen in Ca. or someother "with the times" state. Alot of southern states are still backwards.

Comment: This isn't at all unexpected, it just goes to show you that people still have no respect for blacks. That said, these kids were already probally sitting in the back of the bus acting like fools. When I lived in San Francisco, I hated taking the train or bus when school was out, those kids were a total embarassment to say the least.

Comment: From what I read the bus driver was suspended pending the investigation... however, I want this woman fired and to face civil right charges as well as the school system. Her action is unexcusable. She had the black students not only sit in the back but made them put the younger Black students on their laps. If she gets away with this we all should be outraged to action.

Comment: EdnaMae you have a point, alot of kids act ignorant on public transportation because they don't have home training,
but if the allegations are true that women needs to be fired and charges should be brought against her, if the kids were acting up on the bus she should have reported them to the school superintendant and the parents.
She should not have sent them to the back of the bus.

Comment: Agreed EdnaMae the few times I got caught taking the bus and train with school aged kids well let's just say they ended up not liking me too much. The fact is because of perception this white woman didn't have any business doing that and no doubt her reasons had less to do with behavior. Anyone caught discriminating on the basis of color should face civil rights charges - no exceptions!

Comment: Is this not what the beloved Ms. Rosa Parks worked so hard for? I'm sure she has turned over in her grave about this one. I'm from Milwaukee, WI and know for sure 1st hand that racism is good and alive. It's just sad that these innocent children had to be subjected to her ignorance. I have a 2.5 yr old son and wish somebody would treat him in such a manner. It would take the entire school system to get me off her azz.

Comment: KevsWife I have cousins in Milwaukee and when I come there I always have to ask them 'have y'all trained your whiteys yet?' so I know how I have to act cause I don't appreciate that whites can come to the northside bars and kick it with us but when blacks go over to their side of town and enter a bar all talk and music stop and the whole bar is giving you the death stare.
