Comment: Ok... first of all, Ed Gordon is FINE! Secondly, he's a decent journalist. I don't have cable so I am not as aware of his career issues. I'm cool with the sistah hosting the show. She sounds competent from what I've heard on the radio show. The bigger issue here is that NPR needs to step up marketing efforts for the show. I don't think Ed as host was the main issue. Simply changing the hosts without revamping the marketing of the show will not solve the listenership problem.

Comment: Huey-he may be a whiner and a player hater, I don't know all the details, but calling him 'RED' was so unnecessary--and played.

Comment: There is a smiggen of truth to what Gordon was saying...Yo how many of you have tried to find this program on NPR?...They constanly switch the times...It's on at 2:00am, it's on at 4:00pm and all times in between...I've pretty much given up trying to listen to it on the radio...Streaming is the only way to listen to it....With or without ED it's still a decent show...NPR just dosen't know how to promote it...

Comment: NPR did Ed Gordon wrong. Changing hosts will not improve the ratings. He'll land on his feet somewhere else. I'm not sure where that might be, though.

Comment: Farai has a built in audience that can be measured (Internet hits) -- she's talented and accomplished however NPR isn't gonna spend any $$$ on promotions and that's why she is a nice fit for them.
