Comment: BATON ROUGE, La. -- Burglars hit North Carolina Central University's locker room during the football team's game against Southern University.
"They just beat a very good football team. They should be excited, instead they are disappointed."
-- North Carolina Central SID Kyle Serba
Sneakers, money, football rings and electronics were taken from the facility, located about a fourth of a mile from A.W. Mumford Stadium, said Kyle Serba, sports information director for North Carolina Central.
The thefts occurred at some point during the game, which started at 6 p.m. and ended about 9 p.m.
"We were told by Southern University that the locker room was going to be secure," Serba said. "I don't see how this could have happened."
Southern Chancellor Edward Jackson said the university's police officers will work until they "get it resolved." No suspects were reported.
Jackson added that the locker room burglary should not reflect poorly on the university's efforts to increase security in and directly surrounding Mumford Stadium.
Southern University officials decided more than a week ago to increase security at its home football games in light of a shooting across the street from the stadium that left a 59-year-old Port Allen man dead. The shooting happened off-campus at a credit union during Southern's first home football game.
Everyone who walks into the stadium must pass through metal detectors while their bags and purses are searched. The new measures also eliminate tailgating in the stadium's south end zone.

Comment: EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. -- Authorities on Sunday were trying to pinpoint the cause of death for three children an investigator says were found decomposing inside the washer and dryer of their apartment, hours after a woman was accused of killing their pregnant mother and her fetus.
Saturday night's discovery inside apartment 28J at the John DeShields public housing complex came two days after the mother of the children -- ages 7, 2 and 1 -- was found in a weedy lot, her abdomen torn open and the fetus missing.
Investigators carried out a furious two-day search, including scouring an 1,100-acre state park, for the children they said were last seen Monday with 24-year-old Tiffany Hall, a family friend prosecutors charged Saturday afternoon with killing Jimella Tunstall and her fetus.
Hours later, Hall pointed authorities to Tunstall's apartment that investigators had briefly visited earlier in search of photographs of the children for media outlets to publicize as the search pressed on, said Ace Hart, a deputy St. Clair County coroner.
Hall "fessed up where the kids were. She didn't say she killed them," Hart said Sunday, saying he understood why investigators may have overlooked the children during their previous trip to the apartment. "Who would be looking in the washer and dryer?"
But by Saturday night, Hart said, "you could find them by the smell."
Two of the children were nude, the third wearing only underpants, Hart said. The oldest, 7-year-old DeMond Tunstall, was found in the dryer, the younger two children -- 2-year-old Ivan Tunstall-Collins and 1-year-old Jinela Tunstall -- in the washer.
Hall remained jailed Sunday in nearby Belleville on $5 million bond, charged with first-degree murder in Tunstall's death and with intentional homicide of an unborn child.
Autopsies on the children were scheduled for Sunday, Hart said.
Illinois State Police Capt. Craig Koehler declined to say late Saturday whether Hall was suspected in the children's deaths. The cause of their deaths had not been determined, he said.
"Any time you have three deceased children, it's a very emotional time," Koehler said, fighting back tears. "All these investigators have worked tirelessly with one outcome in mind -- to find these children alive."
An autopsy showed that Jimella Tunstall, 23, whose body was found Thursday, bled to death after sustaining an abdominal wound caused by a sharp object, believed to be scissors, Hart has said. Authorities believe her womb was cut open after she was knocked unconscious.
Relatives say Tunstall grew up with Hall and had let her baby-sit her children.

Comment: A former supervisor who engaged in sexual conduct with a 16-year-old inmate at a state juvenile detention center was sentenced Friday to six years in prison.
Before he was sentenced, Barnett Gill, 53, asked a DuPage County judge for leniency, saying, "I am a good and righteous man."
The female prisoner, now 18, described Gill differently, saying he took advantage of her loneliness to begin a sexual relationship with her in 2004, while she was detained in the Illinois Youth Center in Warrenville.
"You took advantage of me and my feelings," the teen told Gill in a Wheaton courtroom before he was sentenced. "You were well-aware of the fact that I was young, lonely and needed someone."
The teen, who is still in custody and was handcuffed as she spoke, paused several times to wipe away tears as she described how Gill first befriended her, then began a sexual relationship with her.
"I loved you as a father figure," she told Gill. "I degraded myself and feel so used and low. I lowered my standards and lost my self-worth."
Gill, a 29-year veteran of the state Corrections Department, had a clean record until he was charged last year after investigators secretly tape-recorded a telephone conversation in which he told the girl he loved her and missed her. Gill was convicted in August of kissing and fondling the girl several times while he was working at the correctional center.
"Mr. Gill should have known better. He crossed over the line," Judge George Bakalis said as he sentenced the Park Forest resident.
Gill, who retired from the Corrections Department in December 2004, is likely to spend about four years behind bars.

Comment: SAN ANTONIO -- A high school assistant principal is suing two students and their parents, alleging the teens set up a Web page on MySpace.com in her name and posted obscene comments and pictures.
Anna Draker, an assistant principal at Clark High School, is claiming defamation, libel, negligence and negligent supervision over the page on the popular free-access Web site.
Draker claims two 16-year-olds, a junior and a sophomore, created the page using her name and picture and wrote it as through Draker herself had posted the information, according to Draker's attorney, Murphy Klasing.
Draker found out in April that someone had created a page on MySpace. It had been up about a month before she discovered it.
The site falsely identified Draker as a lesbian. Klasing said Draker, who is married and has small children, was "devastated."
MySpace.com removed the page when Draker told them it wasn't hers.
One of the students also is facing criminal felony charges.
Bexar County Assistant District Attorney Jill Mata would not release information about the case, but confirmed that juvenile charges are pending against a local high school student involving retaliation and fraudulent use of identifying information. Both are third-degree felonies.
Draker is suing for an unspecified amount for damages for emotional distress, mental anguish, lost wages and court costs.

Comment: ROCKY RIDGE, Utah -- Like many mainstream Mormons who embrace fundamentalist church tenets, Charles began questioning in college why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints disavowed some of its early principles, including polygamy.
In 1990, he and his wife joined the Apostolic United Brethren, a denomination that practices many of the lifestyle choices Mormons espoused in the 19th Century. Today the 41-year-old computer programmer has three wives and 14 children.
"I knew most Mormons believed plural marriage was a true principle and they may have to live it again someday or live it in heaven," he said. "It's like saying honesty is a correct principle, but we don't have to live it right now."
While polygamists say their lifestyle can bestow countless blessings, it also can draw fierce criticism and criminal prosecution.
Therefore, Charles and his first wife did not want their full names used and turned their backs in pictures taken by the Tribune. His second and third wives, Jeni and Alorah, who are not known publicly as Charles' wives, hoped with their children, they could safely show the world what they consider to be a blessed life.
Revered as the "Most Holy Principle," plural marriage is grounded in the early doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though mainstream Mormons do not espouse plural marriage on Earth anymore--those who engage in the practice are excommunicated--the principle is spelled out in Section 132 of the LDS Church's Doctrine and Covenants as a way to achieve Godhood in the afterlife.
But fundamentalist Mormons, a term LDS leaders find contradictory, do not distinguish between principle and practice. They treat plural marriage as a sacred responsibility. Entering into the principle is a decision the husband, wives and head of the priesthood make together based on each individual's personal revelations, they say.

The Daley administration is stonewalling the case of Christina Eilman, the blond, white and bipolar California woman released from a police lockup at 51st and Wentworth after an episode at Midway Airport in May.
Police left her to fend for herself.
She couldn't.
And now City Hall is fighting the release of interviews that would show how police allowed her to leave, to walk alone in a neighborhood where, residents told me Wednesday, she had no chance.
In the past, Mayor Richard Daley has been eager to publicly hold his Police Department up to ridicule, when it served his political interests and when the cops were blue shirts with no clout.
But then the victims were black and Christina is not, and he's running for re-election.
What's odd is the deafening silence from the usual suspects who complain about mistreatment by police.
There are no protests about Christina. No news conferences. No politicians and clergymen and activists demanding answers while seeking "social justice."
In a political sense, Christina Eilman may be a victim of her own whiteness.
Extremely solid and detailed reporting by Tribune writer David Heinzmann has demonstrated that police had no business letting Christina loose while her parents were in California, calling police, thinking their troubled daughter was safe in police custody.
She wasn't.
She was walked out of the lockup, the former UCLA student, 21 years old, wearing shorts and a T-shirt. She proceeded east on 51st Street under the viaduct, finally reaching the King JJ Fish and Chicken fast-food restaurant.
"It was clear she was having mental problems," Tiffany Love, an employee of the restaurant, told me Wednesday. "She met up with a crackhead. A woman. She took her over to Robert Taylor."
There, at the Robert Taylor Chicago Housing Authority development, Christina was taken inside, up to the seventh floor, where she allegedly was raped by a gang leader before she fell--either was pushed or she jumped--to the mushy weeds and softball-size rocks in the yard below.
That took place on May 8. She is now paralyzed and suffers from brain damage. And City Hall maintains silence, even though there are legitimate questions in the public interest about the incident.

Comment: SYRACUSE, N.Y. - An undercover police operation took an odd turn Thursday when a Syracuse police officer pretending to be a john met a suspected prostitute who pretended to be a police officer.
The encounter ended with two women under arrest. Police charged Lisa Greene, 31, with first-degree criminal impersonation, prostitution and fifth-degree conspiracy. Elena Irwin, 20, was charged with fifth-degree conspiracy and possession of a hypodermic needle.
Police spokesman Sgt. Tom Connellan said a male undercover officer driving in a neighborhood known for prostitution was flagged down by Greene. The woman got in his car and the two went to a nearby parking lot to negotiate a price for sex.
She asked the cop if he was a cop and the police officer said no.
"That's OK, because I am," the woman told the officer as she pulled out handcuffs and a two-way radio and barked a command into the radio: "Move in!"
The officer, concerned the woman was armed and looking to rob him, forced her from the car, Connellan said. Moments later, officers who had been monitoring the situation arrived and grabbed Greene — with the radio and cuffs — at a nearby intersection.
A male officer pretending to be a female used the radio to find out who was on the other end, Connellan said.
Police found Irwin waiting in a car in a nearby alley.
"We believe these people were going to rob people or extort money," Connellan said.
He did not know if they had successfully used the scam in the past.

Comment: When MTV VJ LaLa Vazquez and NBA star Carmelo Anthony got engaged nearly two years ago, most people were skeptical. With Carmelo only nineteen at the time, it was hard to believe that he was ready to make that kind of commitment. Now that LaLa has announced that she's pregnant, it would appear that the couple is finally headed down the aisle. But MediaTakeOut.com spoke to a friend of Carmelo's who says that Carmelo has no intentions of marrying the MTV beauty.
In an exclusive interview, Carmelo's pal described the up-and-down relationship that the baller has with LaLa. According to the friend, Carmelo and LaLa constantly fight over other women. The pal tells, "most women who deal with [NBA] players accept that there's going to be [groupies], but LaLa isn't like that." Our source went on, "she can't just play her position ... it's probably because she's older so she feels she can control him."
Carmelo's pal then turned to LaLa's announced pregnancy. In a stunning revelation, the ballplayer's buddy told MediaTakeOut.com that LaLa may be faking the pregnancy. The friend explained, "I saw LaLa the other day and she didn't look pregnant to me ... I think she might be saying that [she's pregnant] just so that they can get married." The hoopster's pal does concede, however, that a pregnancy wouldn't be all bad for Carmelo. The pal tells, "LaLa is a good person so I think she would make a good baby's mother ... I just don't think that [Carmelo] should marry her."
And the friend's story appears to be backed up by a number of photographs that MediaTakeOut.com has obtained. In the first photograph, which was taken when LaLa was supposedly four months pregnant, she looks slimmer than ever. A closeup of the same photo shows that LaLa is wearing the engagement ring on her middle finger - a telltale sign of a trouble. In the third picture, taken just a few days ago, the ring is noticeably missing from LaLa's finger altogether.

Comment: WASHINGTON (AP) - The government is partially lifting its ban against carrying liquids and gels onto airliners, instituted after a plot to bomb jets flying into the United States was foiled, an administration official said Monday.
A Homeland Security Department official, speaking on condition of anonymity because the announcement had not yet been made, said that most liquids and gels that air travelers purchase in secure areas of airports will now be allowed on planes.
That means that after passengers go through airport security checkpoints, they can purchase liquids at airport stores and take them onto their planes, said the official. Announcement of the new rules was being made at an 11 a.m. EDT news conference at Reagan National Airport. The Transportation Security Administration said only that it planned to announce "refinements to security measures."
The tougher airport screening procedures were put in place in August after British police broke up a terrorist plot to %*$emble and detonate bombs using liquid explosives on airliners crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Britain to the U.S.
At the time, the Homeland Security Department briefly raised the threat level to "red," the highest level, for flights bound to the United States from Britain. All other flights were at "orange" and will remain at orange, the second-highest level, for now.
New procedures also were being announced for products like lip gloss and hand lotion that passengers bring to the airport. Previously, those liquids have been confiscated at security checkpoints. Now, the official said, those products will be put in clear plastic bags at the checkpoint, screened and returned to the passenger if they pass screening.

Comment: Good Morning Everybody! From AOL BV Buzz: Buzzworthy.
There's a new girlfriend on 'Girlfriends.' Actress Christina Vidal will join Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks and Persia White as a recurring cast member on the new season of 'Girlfriends' on the CW. Vidal, who previously starred in 'See No Evil' and 'Freaky Friday,' will play a tough celebrity fitness trainer on the show. As I've reported, former 'Girlfriend' Jill Marie Jones left the series. The seventh season of 'Girlfriends' premieres Oct. 1.
According to AOL Black Voices Newswire blogger Karu F. Daniels, 'American Idol' finalist Trenyce is Broadway-bound in the theatrical production, 'Invisible Life.' The play, based off the E. Lynn Harris book of the same name, will be helmed by Tony Award winner George Faison and feature original music by Ashford & Simpson. Broadway veteran Billy Porter is also in negotiations to join the cast. The musical will workshop in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Houston and Philadelphia early next year before making its Broadway debut summer 2007.
TV One will launch a new reality series called 'I Married a Baller' this fall. The eight-episode show centers around the lives of former football star Eddie George and his wife, SWV singer Tamara "Taj" George. The show is produced by former model-turned-TV executive Datari Turner, who is also responsible for BET's 'Ultimate Hustler.' TV One will also premiere new shows by Bill Bellamy ('Bill Bellamy's Who's Got Jokes') and Snoop Dogg ('Snoop's Youth Football League').

Sources say that a certain celebrity's relatives are lobbying to get them on VH1's 'Celebrity Fit Club.' I'm told that said star's family is fearing that a heart attack is eminent because of their excessive weight and want the panelists on 'Celebrity Fit Club' to work the entertainer back in shape. Right now, the star is resisting joining the next season of the show for fear of being embarrassed, but their family remains determined.
(The choices given for this poll were: Fat Joe, Bruce Bruce, Ruben Studdard, Gerald Levert and Guerilla Black). I think it is Bruce Bruce because Ruben is already on a weight loss regimen and is losing weight.

YLAWDY did she have three kids and one on the way at only 23, unmarried and living in the projects? That is the biggest tragedy of all. No mention of baby daddies and there obviously was at least two as one child had a hyphenated last name. Why is this message so hard to get across....Put the Dyck Down!

Comment: Good Morning Kings & Queens! Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I missed y'all and I couldn't wait to get back to the F4A to tell y'all the drama that's goin' on in my family. It's a long story so be ready to read. Let me start from the beginning. My baby sister is 25 and my cousin is 26. Let's just call my baby sis Jen & my cousin Kim. Okay, Jen & Kim were like frick & frack since birth. They grew up together closer than close. They were ALWAYS together, I mean like attached to the hip. Wherever you saw Jen, you saw Kim. They were best friends, did EVERYTHING together. Jen revealed to me a few years ago that she grew up envious of Kim because she was skinny with long beautiful wavy hair, skinny and she is strikingly beautiful. Jen has always had issues with her weight & her short hair and still does to this very day. While they grew up together, people used to always tell Kim how pretty she while Jen stood right by her and nobody ever said how pretty Jen was so she grew up with a complex about her looks, weight & short hair. Jen also had an eating disorder (bulemia) while she was in high school. Jen also has issues with our parents because of things that she felt they didn't do right as parents. She's one of those people that holds grudges for life. Kim & Jen were SO close and they talked about EVERYTHING under the sun EXCEPT about Kim's love life. Kim is and always has been private about her love life. She never talks about who she dates and nobody has ever actually seen her with a guy (still to this day, none of us have seen her with a guy, not even her sisters or mother). So, about 4 years ago, me & Jen were talking and I asked her "have you ever seen her with a guy before?" Jen said "Nope, I haven't". She told me that she would talk to Kim about guys but Kim NEVER volunteered information about her love life.

Comment: Continued...So, as the years went by, Kim's sister's were asking Jen who Kim is dating and Jen would always say "I don't know, go ask her". They were like, "but she won't talk about it". Anyway, when Jen would get a boyfriend, she would basically kick all of her friends to the curb (including Kim) and just be m.i.a. from everyone. So sometimes, they would go months without talking. So, Kim would hang with her other friends when Jen would do this. Kim & Jen are both extremely talented. Jen is a writer/rapper/singer & Kim is an actor/writer/producer. In 2003, they formed a corporation together with one of Jen's friends, let's call her Kelis. Jen & Kelis, became good friends in high school and Jen could talk to Kelis about things that she couldn't talk to Kim about, like sex. So, after they formed this company, they were well on their way to stardom. Kim even moved to Cali to try to get some acting work in 2001 and in 2002, Jen moved down there with her. Kim did a lot of extra work, like on ER & she was an extra in "Bringin' Down the House" w/ Queen Latifah. Kim & Jen stayed in Cali for about 1 year and then they moved back to St. Louis cuz the people that they were staying with thought that they were freeloading off them. So when they moved back to St. Louis, Kim moved in with Jen & at our parents house. Okay, in late June of 2004, Jen met the love of her life, a police officer named Kevin. Kevin & Jen became SO close very quickly. Jen & Kim's relationship was practically non-existent cuz Jen & Kevin were together 24/7. Kim eventually moved out and Jen just assumed that she was jealous and that she didn't like Kevin. Jen says that Kim has NEVER liked any of her boyfriends and she always thinks that someone is jealous of her. She said that Kim didn't like her man and Kim wasn't happy for her & Kevin so Jen & Kim's relationship just got worse & worse as time went on. For some reason, Jen just started asking people that both her & Kim knew if they thought Kim was gay. Kim found out that Jen was going around asking if she was gay and she felt betrayed by Jen so she stopped talking to her. This happened in Dec. 2004 and they haven't talked since. Kim tried to reach out to Jen this year in March and Jen basically just shut her down. Jen is STILL holding a grudge against Kim to this day.

Comment: Jen has been avoiding Kim because she doesn't wanna face her. She was and still is pis*sed cuz me & our other sister, Ann, still talk to Kim but Kim's sister's don't talk to Jen anymore and Jen feels like me & Ann aren't "loyal" to her. She HATES the fact that we all still talk to Kim. It's eating her up inside. If anyone mentions Kim's name while Jen is around, she get's pis*sed. With all that being said, Jen has been acting really ignorant toward everyone, especially since she's met Kevin. She's been distant from everyone, including our parents. So, when my momma asked her to be in the wedding, she was like "I'on know, I ain't got no money right now." Just giving my momma a hard time and really upsetting her. She still gets her mail delivered to my momma's house, and she's been living with Kevin for over a year. Jen got pis*sed because she claims my momma lost some important mail and she had to pay some extra money for this particular mail. And she used that as an excuse as to why she couldn't buy her dress. So, everyone has been pis*sed at Jen for not being in the wedding cuz all of my mommas kids are in it, except her. So, when Jen did all of our hair Saturday morning, everyone was under the impression that she was going to the wedding. Neither Jen nor Kevin showed up at the wedding. All of the family members & friends kept asking where Jen was. We were all just like "I'on know". So, yesterday, Kevin called my husband to try to give him an explanation as to why he & Jen didn't show up. He said that he & Jen got into it cuz Jen refused to go. Wanna know the reason why she refused to go? She refused to go cuz she knew Kim was gonna be there and she didn't wanna face her talkin' 'bout she ain't wanna go off on her. Now, ain't that some stupid, childish shi*t!!! My momma & daddy were/are so hurt and so is everyone else in the family. We are basically cuttin' her off. She is so ignorant to all of us and we're all acting like she don't exist right now. Kevin called my husband yesterday talkin' 'bout him & Jen 'got into it' cuz he told her that she shoulda went. My husband was goin' off on Kevin and was tellin' him "Man, you act like you ain't got no backbone!" "You actin' like a puppet!" "You do everything she say and you believe everything she says!" He was like, "you coulda atleast shown your face". Kevin is a puppet for Jen and just does whatever she says. So, what y'all think about all this mess? I thought that Kevin shoulda atleast came or something. I just think all this stuff is so foul. What do y'all think?

Comment: Good day all! I'm not new to EUR, but I don't post regularly. I do, however, recognize a lot of the names here. To all the newbies, welcome.
To blackdiamondleo, the crime happened in East St. Louis, IL which is just across the bridge from St. Louis, MO.
I am in Iraq and my supervisor constantly talks about how he doesn't understand how people can have so much hatred for another group of people that they try to kill them. I don't understand it either. However, I can understand that better than this because they have been conditioned to believe that that group (whichever group it may be) is evil or is wrong. There is no face to put with this group that you hate. In this case, this person had a personal relationship with the victim. How is it that you can have so much hatred in your heart for someone who you are so close to? I pray for the families of the victims and may God have mercy on the soul of their killer.
I work in Iraq so I am nine hours ahead of most of you. It is time for me to call it a day. Have a blessed one.

Since I'm at work and I sit RIGHT NEXT to my co-workers, I was very calm and I just told her, I don't have any money, I'll talk to you next week when I get paid. What I REALLY wanted to say was "Bi*tch I ain't givin' yo as*s SH*IT!" But, I can't do that at work cuz there are too many 'ears' next to me and yt folks LOVE to hear about our bitness. I am so heated at her! Plus, I don't wanna go off on her on the phone, I wanna go off on her face to face cuz she needs to see & feel my emotion in person.

Comment: FIANL CALL:VOL25 NO.48 ---Now that the United States' invasion and occupation of Iraq has begun to be recognized as a quagmire, policy makers would do well to note that months before the U.S. and its "Coalition of The Willing" launched the "Shock and Awe" attack, yhere were ample warnings to Bush from HONORABLE MINISTER LOUIS FARAKHAN among others, that there was much more suffering ahead for the Iraqi people and a disaster ahead for the U.S.
As early as July 2002 from Baghdad, the NATION OF ISLAM leader and a delegation on an international peace mission trying to avert the war, reported the conditions under which 5,000 Iraqi died every month as a result of U.S. sanctions that had been in place since the 1991 Gulf War.
The American people and their elected representatives should have been permitted to decide whether this country should inflict suffering on the Iraqi people, MINISTER FARAKHAN told reporters July 7 after meeting with several high ranking government officials there.
(PARAPHRASING)They asked Bush and Congress that before one American soldier be put in harms way, or one bomb dropped on Iraq, that there must be Congressional hearings. And Iraqi officials shold be permitted to participate..More than six months earlier, he warned Bush in a letter dated Dec. 1, 2001. "I repectfully say to you that I believe if you continue this effort in the way that you presently have in mind, it will not end terrorism, but, unfortunately, may increase it. AFGHANISTAN is only a preliminary to a much wider war, which is already planned, and this war also has a home front aspect, as well. Should you persidt in this you will do what NO Islamic leader is able to do. You will unite the MUSLIM world in histility against AMERICA and Great Britain, and you will use your great position of power, inadvertaently to call for a HOLY WAR against the West"---written 16 months by MINISTER FARRAKHAN before the IRAQ attack.

It was a guy who only got half a mill a year and he was buying plans and owned 30 caddys, he was broke after a few years. He ended up living of of social security at the end. He said he was happier than when he had the money. A lady, who was driving drunk, killed her friend in the passenger as a result of a crash. Then she fled the scene. There’s a man in Europe who is in the tabloids more than the celebs and can’t stay out of jail. He’s even coming out with a reality tv show.

Comment: At a press conference at the National Press Club in May 2005 MINISTER FARAKHAN issued another warning and recited his Dec 2001 letter and a second letter he wrote to Bush on Oct. 30, 2002, still 41/2 months before the attack: "Look at the nations to the north and south of you. Are they pleased with you, your administration and your policies? Look at your friends in the Middle East. Are they really pleased? Look at your European friends and your African and Asian friends. The prophecy teaches that they will take your MONEY and whatever you offer, but they will HATE you and ultimately make you desolate," he cautioned. "We are headed into a terrible time. I am writing this letter as a FINAL WITNESS of my deep concern for you and for the NATION;Believing, however that you are bent on doing what is in your heart with respect to Iraq and Saddam Hussein.
"Mr. President, if you do this, you will bring doen upon AMERICA an increase in the DIVINE JUDGEMENT of rain, hail, snow, wind, earthquakes, pestilence and famine that is already witnessed in the country. As you go about destroying other nations and cities, you will bring this kind of DIVINE WRATH on the American people and on American cities," the Minister warned.

It has been 5 years since 9/11, and yet, we have not caught anyone who sat down and planned this thing out, for all of our technological might it happened and caught us off guard or worse case, we knew and did nothing about it. The Minister would have been a good person to have in talks with other nations but stupidity got in the way JMO.

Comment: Huey and Riley might be staying in "The Boondocks," but Aaron McGruder's satirical comic strip is moving out of newspapers after a six-month hiatus.
John B. Matthews, vice president at Universal Press Syndicate, which distributes the strip, has informed the Chicago Tribune: "The news is in and it is not good for Boondocks fans. Aaron has decided not to restart the strip. The end date of the reruns ... is November 25th."
When he announced a hiatus last March, McGruder explained that he needed a break from the strip. He had been working on a Cartoon Network version of "The Boondocks." During the six-month hiatus, the Tribune had elected not to publish reruns of the strip, which debuted April 19, 1999.
Geoff Brown, the Tribune's associate managing editor for Features, said, "We haven't decided on a permanent replacement for 'The Boondocks' yet. Several strips are under consideration."

The biggest conspiracy theory concerning the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks was put out by the government itself,he said on "The Alex Jones Show" on GCN Radio Network Mar 19, according to a published report. Mr. Sheen prefaced hid argument by quoting Theodore Roosevelt in stating: "That we stand by the President right or wrong is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
Mr. Sheen is not alone. Over the past two years, scores of prominent individuals have expressed their serious doubts about 9/11. Several are GOP'ERS.(names are listed)One is a CIA analyst, Asst. Sec. of Treas'y.

Comment: StopBeingIgnant>>oh yes i am the mother of the year. My boys are 12 & 9 I raised my 2 boys from 7yrs scraping, struggling, riding the bus, got my 1st degree and surving while their dad finished school, bought a house, got married and had another child. my boys moved in w/their dad 2 yrs ago and when they did they were on the honor roll, knew how to clean up, iron, say yes ma'am, no ma'am and listened to adults w/out back talk. My kids are very well mannered. I am now able to take my kids on vacation and shopping and help out my younger sister. He is now doing what I had to do. I think more men should take on the role of raising the kids rather than being a weekend dad. Now he sees what it feels like to have the teacher call and check homework. I still do parent teacher conference and still very much involved.

Comment: Y'all, I watched this movie yesterday on BLACK STARZ called "Baby Mother". It looked like it takes place in the UK. 3 Jamaican girls have a singing group, but the lead wants to be a club DJ. She has 2 kids by the popular singer Byron who's a player. She lives with the woman who she always thought to be her mother, but after the woman dies, she finds out from the woman she thought her sister, is her mother. Her mother was 15 and pregnant by an older man who left her and went back to Jamaica. The mother takes over and raises Neeta. Neeta's mother goes on to college and makes a success of her life. A prominent bussiness woman. There's a lot of drama between Neeta's goal, Byron & women, competition between promoters pitting the two against each other, female jealousy, the whole enchalada! The song that she wins a "CLASH" with is called "Baby Mother". I liked it and the movie too. A drama w/humorous scenes. They are so colorful and splashy!

Comment: Since I probably can't get on I work can someone help me with a problem. Why do people have to say something when in a couple one person looks a lot better than their partner? Me and my girl were out this weekend with our men. Now my girl is about a 7 or the scale of what most people would say is pretty. Her husband on the other hand is like a 12. NO LIE!! He is foine! When they are out people (women mostly) are always staring at him which is fine but on more than one occasion someone has the nerve to actually say something out loud. This chick walks up to him and is like "You are a star whatchu doing with her?" He politely put her in her place while I was about to open some whuppa@@ on her on my girls behalf. Why should only fine people be with fine people? and if the woman is fine then the man must have money for her to want him and vice versa the woman must be a freak to be able to keep him?

Comment: StopBeingIgnant>> uh , no when i sent them to their dads they were all of the qualities that i listed, it was up to him to make sure he continued the hard work that i had already done. I was the one that gave them the nurturing stable enviroment as their dad was always quitting jobs, moving around and not figuring out what he was going to do. The only path he continued was in school. I told him it was important for the kids to know their father and in order for him to earn respect of his BOYS he needed to be in their lives the right way, Now, i didn't give my boys to anyone. There is nothing she can say to my boys, the raising and the discipline of my boys comes from their father and me only and on that you can believe. The women he married is not raising my children because 1st of all she is still a child herself and she has her own child to deal with. Now, you would think you would be proud of the fact that a BLACK man is taking the responsibility of raising his boys but you are attempting to put down the fact that i am enjoying my life. Why you hating? Sweetie, don't knock me down because i'm enjoying my life. Me and their dad get along just fine and therefore my kids get the best of both worlds... Comment: BIGCHASSIE> apparently, the girl who killed her friend had two children of her own, who lived with her mother. She called them everynight to "check up" on them, but doesn't raise them at all. At first the stories claims that she commited the crime(she cut the baby out of the mother's 9mon womb) b/c she wanted a baby of her own. But, when they found out she had kids, that wipes out that possiblity.

NEW YORK (Sept. 25) -- In a combative interview on "Fox News Sunday," former President Clinton defended his handling of the threat posed by Osama bin Laden, saying he tried to have bin Laden killed and was attacked for his efforts by the same people who now criticize him for not doing enough.
"That's the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now," Clinton said in the interview. "They ridiculed me for trying. They had eight months to try, they did not try."
Clinton accused host Chris Wallace of a "conservative hit job" and asked: "I want to know how many people in the Bush administration you asked, 'Why didn't you do anything about the Cole?' I want to know how many people you asked, 'Why did you fire Dick Clarke?'"
He was referring to the USS Cole, attacked by terrorists in Yemen in 2000, and former White House anti-terrorism chief Richard A. Clarke.
Wallace said Sunday he was surprised by Clinton's "conspiratorial view" of "a very non-confrontational question, 'Did you do enough to connect the dots and go after al-Qaida?'"
"All I did was ask him a question, and I think it was a legitimate news question. I was surprised that he would conjure up that this was a hit job," Wallace said in a telephone interview.
Clinton said he "worked hard" to try to kill bin Laden.

Comment: "We contracted with people to kill him. I got closer to killing him than anybody's gotten since," he said.
He told Wallace, "And you got that little smirk on your face and you think you're so clever, but I had responsibility for trying to protect this country. I tried and I failed to get bin Laden. I regret it, but I did try and I did everything I thought I responsibly could."
The interview was taped Friday during Clinton's three-day Global Initiative conference.
On NBC's "Meet the Press," also taped Friday and aired Sunday, Clinton told interviewer Tim Russert that the biggest problem confronting the world today is "the illusion that our differences matter more than our common humanity."
"That's what's driving the terrorism," he said. "It's not just that there's an unresolved Arab-Israeli conflict. Osama Bin Laden and Dr. al-Zawahiri can convince young Sunni Arab men, who have _ and some women _ who have despairing conditions in their lives, that they get a one-way ticket to heaven in a hurry if they kill a lot of innocent people who don't share their reality."

Comment: What is going on with people in the world today? Father Stabs Wife, Toddler in Rush-Hour Traffic. BATON ROUGE, La. (Sept. 23) - A man repeatedly stabbed his toddler and estranged wife along an interstate while horrified people watched from their cars in rush-hour traffic Friday night, police and witnesses said.
The 2-year-old girl was in a car with her parents when her father started stabbing his wife with a kitchen knife along Interstate 110 near the Governor's Mansion, said Cpl. L'Jean McKneely, a Baton Rouge Police spokesman.
When the 26-year-old woman got out and ran for help from an East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputy in squad car just ahead of them, her husband stabbed his daughter, McKneely said.
"He kept stabbing her until the knife was stuck in her head," witness Gloria Spears told WAFB-TV.
The man then put the girl on the highway and drove off, side-swiping the deputy's car and striking his wife, police said. He sped into downtown Baton Rouge and knocked down at least three utility poles before his car hurtled through the air and overturned on top of another vehicle.
All three were taken to Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center. The child was in "extremely critical" condition, with a cut "along her midsection and a kitchen knife lodged in her head," McKneely said.
Her mother, who was thrown 20 to 40 feet by the impact of the car, also had numerous stab wounds, he said. She was expected to live. The man was being treated for minor injuries, McKneely said.
McKneely said the couple, who was not identified, has been married for about six years but were currently living apart. It was not immediately clear what led to the stabbings.

Comment: Strange but True News: Couple Jailed for Pricey Bosom Fondle Scam,
Reuters.
HELSINKI (Sept. 22) - A fee of 25,500 euros, or $32,000, is way too much for a woman to charge a man for fondling her bosom, a Finnish district court ruled.
The court jailed a couple in their twenties for more than a year for charging a 74-year-old who suffers from dementia a total of 25,500 euros to enjoy the woman's breasts on 10 occasions.
"Based on general life experience alone, it is indisputably clear that a 25,500 euro charge is disproportionate to the compensation in question," Judge Hasse Hakki, who heard the case, told Reuters Friday.
But he said the court in Kokkola, about 300 miles north of Helsinki, would not decide "the proper financial value of the compensation."
The retiree filed charges against the couple, who were convicted of extortionate overcharging, even though he told the court he paid the price willingly at the time.

Comment: Oprah says her lawyers overreacted
NEW YORK - Oprah Winfrey says her lawyers shouldn't have gone after the man who is trying to promote her as a candidate for president. Not because she's running, mind you.
"I feel flattered by it," the 52-year-old talk-show host told The Associated Press on Monday. "My lawyers overreacted, I think, by sending him a cease-and-desist order because it really is a flattering thing."
It should have been handled in a phone call, said Winfrey, who said she's thinking of calling Patrick Crowe of Kansas City, Mo., herself.
Crowe has been campaigning to urge Winfrey to run for president for years, setting up a Web site that has its own campaign song. A month ago, Winfrey's lawyers sent Crowe a letter demanding that he remove her picture from his Web site.
Winfrey's smiling face remained on http://www.oprah08.net Monday.
Winfrey was in New York to promote Oprah and Friends, which launched Monday on XM Satellite Radio.
In February, Winfrey signed a three-year, $55 million deal with XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. to launch her new radio channel, which joins her nationally syndicated television show and her O, The Oprah Magazine.
XM Satellite Radio boasts more than 7 million subscribers.

ingredients
>1 thick pork roast or 2 pork loins you can use pork chops but they must be the thick ones
>1 box of cornbread stove top stuffing
> whatever seasonings/spices you like
i like rosemary, thyme, fresh garlic, lemon pepper
>onions and bell peppers
aluminum foil
=================================
i work 10 hours on sunday so i use a electric roaster so i preheat this to 250, if using an oven preheat to 350 ( cook for about 3-4 hours)
===============================
make the stuffing set aside..
take the pork roast, pork loin or pork chops and a long sharp knife and make hole in the center of the meat. stuff the suff into the center of the meat.
season the meat with spices etc top w/onions/bellpepper and wrap with foil but leave not tight leave it in a tent shape show the moisture will drip back down and keep the meat moist.
===================================
when you slice the meat, cut it like medallions and the stuffing will be right in the middle. makes a nice presentation.

Comment: girlj< the story is about this lady who is a street vendor and has the primary responsibility for taking care of her family. She goes to the club and discovers the wonders of the dancehalls, it's like a whole new world for her where she can be free. The movie is shot very gritty but the feel is inconsistent, sometimes it looks grittily shot on purpose sometimes it looks lowbudget. The story is sort of silly b/c you're supposed to believe that her dancing is a way to get her family out of the ghetto but you kinda know that's far fetched. You end up really rooting for this girl. some of the interactions between her and her competitors and family are jarringly real. It's almost like watching someone's life it often doesn't feel like watching a movie.

When I was in Miami at the flea market this guy was selling all the Caribbean films...you pick out what you want, and he would BURN it right there for you. GHETTO. The funniest thing he told me was that he was from Haiti but he has to get out of Miami b/c Miami is 'grimy.' I was like ummm...Positive< love the scrippers chile. Especially if I suspect they are NOT gay. And especially if they are wearing regular clothes. Not to fond of the costumes.

Comment: Actually, IJ, as someone from Jamaica, I can tell that storyline is so real it is unbelievable. Yes it does happen. There is an annual dancehall queen competition, and the exposure from this is unreal. You get to perform overseas, do a lot of stage shows, travel the world and dance as opening acts for a lot of the reggae artists and earn a lot of money doing this. Does your mom have some Jamaican connection?

Comment: ImJustAsking- Yeah, we have one at the Right Track that wears a body suite like flo joe and has one boty cheek hanging out, lol. I’ll pass on him. We had one who wore a big furry bear like suite and crawled rapidly through the club on all fours and dragged his partner who was pulling the chain around his neck. It literally looked like that man had an out of control rottweiler on a leash until they were on stage. That’s the best presentation I’ve seen so far. But the ones in LA or “thugs” at least at this particular club that’s in the middle of south central. They’ll be up there in blue and red All Stars dancing to the banging on wax album (the album made by crips and bloods). It reminds me of the line that jay-dee from the eastsiders said in his last song, “don’t sag to hard fool, you showing your thong.”

I never wanted to visit Jamaica, I've always thought of Jamaica as somewhere for people who like water (which I ABHOR) or some place to relax, a place to go with a man. Normally I limit my vacations to places where I think there might be some eye candy and I ain't never been attracted to west indian men. They generally creep me out. But now that you mention the partying...I might reevaluate b/c I LOVE to dance, and I love to dance to reggae and dancehall. I think i'd have to go with someone who really knew the area in order to do that, don't you think?

Comment: Sometimes I laughed at some of the girls more than anything. One guy had a bday celebration and his fiancé was in the vip section in front of the stage and his baby mamma was in the other vip section. These girls were a trip. They were decked out with the superman symbols, because that’s his thing. The fiancé was slender and had on a sheer body suit with superman patches over her lil nips and a g-string, the other a special made red and white track suit with the superman symbols all over. But these two girls were pitiful. They were hollering at each other across the room. The BM started holding up a sign of her and him kissing at prom or something. The picture was obviously about 10 years old. And the gifts… It’s was like this man was a King and the girls were servant coming to bring him gifts. It was nike and play station games being thrown all over the stage. Well technically, he was the “king” of the trak at that time.

Comment: My baby sister is 25 and my cousin is 26.

So, whatchu think about this mess lovely?

Comment: Dang asize12!! That's some drama. Family is quick to hold a grudge because you take for granted that they'll always be there. Jen & Kim need to sit down (possibly with a mediator) and get all this stuff out on the table and out in the open. Sounds like they have a lot of issues that THEY haven't really discussed. IMO that's not serious enough to cut a family member off.

Comment: asize12, I can't talk about cutting folks off... my cousin cut me off a couple years ago because I wouldn't loan her any money but then when she tried to reach out to me and apologize for being so shady, I cut her off. I was just waiting for the opportunity to give her some "payback". Does the rest of your family think Kim is gay? Has it ever been discussed?

If she doesn't wanna fool with ya'll, I wouldn't fool with her. That's how folks start acting fake. If she really wants to act like a family, she'll come back and she'll act right.

Comment: >lovely, the reasons that we don't wanna fool with her anymore is not just because she didn't show up at the wedding. It's that among other things. She's just really been treating our parents shi*tty lately. She's been really ignorant toward all of us since she's met Kevin. And she's always been the 'difficult' child. She's cussed both of our parents out while she was in high school. She never wanted to work or clean up, that's why my momma put her out 2 years ago. She just kept saying she's working on her music and she needs some support, but ain't nobody gone continue to support yo grown as*s! It's just a whole buncha stuff. She's really selfish, self-centered and manipulative and nobody ever says anything to her. She's onery too. Like, if one of us makes her mad, she won't do our hair. She wants people to kiss her as*s. She's a helluva hairstylist, but ain't nobody gon' be kissing her as*s just so we can get our hair done. Me, my momma, & my other sister Ann are just gon' start letting someone else do our hair cuz she thinks we 'need' her so we'll do whatever she wants us to. NOT! Lemme kinda give you an idea of how ignit she is. Everytime my momma buys her something for X-mas or her birthday, she'll say something like, "Oh, I'on like that, you shoulda just gave me the money!" What kinda shi*t is that??? She's an ungreatful as*s wanch!

I also asked her if she was a virgin, she told me no. So, all I can do is believe what she says. Kim & I have always been close (not as close as her & Jen) but we talk on the phone a lot. Why in the world should I stop talking to her just cuz Jen don't talk to her no more? That's some jr. high school mess!

Girl don't let somebody steal your joy!

Comment: I agree with HoneyMack... I'm all about eliminating drama. I don't have the time or the energy for it. Limit your interactions with her and if she asks, just be very honest and tell her you don't respect her behavior so rather than deal with it, you're just eliminating anything unnecessary and out of your control from your life. I'm sure she'll get her act together eventually.

Comment: She's the baby girl, but not the baby. Our brother is the baby (he's 23) and he's autistic. So, he has no speech and he doesn't have the mind of a 23 year old. As far as everyone catering to her, it's sad but true. We all got sucked up in her manipulation especially Ann cuz she didn't have any kids. So, she always gave her money and stuff. It's partly all of our faults that she's the way she is. But ef that, she's grown now! Get over yourself!

Comment: That's easier said than done. I am the baby and have always been catered to so even now that I'm 30, when I don't get my way, it's hard to not flip and try to play the 'baby card'. I have to check myself a lot and tell myself to quit acting so immature. One day Jen will grow out of it, but it really is hard. I'm a work in progress and maybe she is too. A little tough love is what she needs.

Comment: HoneyMack, you're right. The day I graduated from college, mom & dad both told me I was on my own and that all the foolishness was coming to an end. They stopped paying my credit card bills, they stopped funding vacations & they stopped paying for my living expenses. They're divorced but they could both still afford to take care of me... I'm glad they stopped though, I compare my life to that of my cousins and I'm glad I'm not still living off of them. There's nothing in this world like the freedom and independence of taking care of yourself!

Comment: Naw, naw... I haven't acted like a baby since my birthday a few months ago. I thought mom was sending me a plane ticket but she didn't and I started pouting and whining to my dad and he told me to buy my own ticket. So I DID!! Then I called my mom and told her thank you for the nice little bracelet she sent me. Again, it felt good knowing I can buy my own plane ticket and not have to ask my parents to do it for me. (I know that's a small thing, but 5 years ago I would have been throwing a hissy fit if I didn't get what I wanted).
