Comment: Spoken like a true jail house writer! They are some of the most prolific! He does not care about the sensitivity. If it were my family member, I would be upset. As if anything dude says in that line is appropriate. Why not rap about 9/11 victims? Here, I'll rewrite those last 2 lines for you... "you the twin towers, I'm a twin engine plane"

Comment: The Game was on a dating show???? did the girls diss him????? dang

Name: TinayPretty
Comment: DID HE WRITE THAT LETTER??? Dammmm, it's pretty good thruout. I can certainly see both points of view in this issue. This is not a comment that ANYONE can expect to hear all over the television or radio, so forget about it. When it comes down to it, its just Words..............

Name: Mimi
Comment: Who is he???????????????????

Comment: It's sad that the dude was killed. My sympathy's are with his family but Steve took too many chances...I used to watch Mutual of Ohmaha's Wild Kingdom back inna the day...The Old dude Marlin was always in his truck or jeep surrounded by people with guns...He would shoot the animals with a tranqulizer first but he wasn't grabbing 'em and pulling 'em from trees and sh1t...He always sent his boy Jim out there...Marlin was like yo, I'll film the sh1t but that's about it...Those animals are wild and anything can happen...I saw a dolphin wreak havoc on a muthafuccer...A dolphin...I always thought Dolphins were friendly and sh1t but when I saw Flipper banging, dragging and biting muthafuccers I was like...Yo, enuff of the dumb sh1t...I think the reference was in bad taste...I wouldn't have said it...As far as Game goes, I wonder if that babe wishes she didn't have a change of heart now...

Comment: If he actually wrote that letter I extend big ups for being one of the few rappers that can articulate intelligent thoughts and actually make it to paper.

Comment: I think Ras Kass' response was outstanding. I have no clue who he is, I do listen to some rap but not all. I don't think the line in his song is demeaning to Steve Irwin. To me it shows how Steve has touched people of all races, ages and creeds. Personally, I was impressed. Uh....is Change of Heart still on? Or were they saying the Game was on it, when it aired years ago? Sorry a little slow on that one.

Name: McNasty
Comment: I saw the episode of Change of Heart but at the time just thought old dude was scraight butt ugly. Boot money doesn't always make a brother look good - it's just another ugly brother with a bad attitude and a rack of dough.

Name: Babygurl
Comment: That's cold...he didn't have to say that. That man has a family...

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: In all honesty, I'm surprised the man was alive as long as he was. He, just like extreme sport folk have a death threat. Animals are in the wild for a reason. Over the weekend, there was a man killed after he jumped off a bridge in W.VA during some sort of annual celebration. While the crowd was looking down, his chute didn't open until he was 25ft above the water. SPLASH! Fortunatelty, his death was shielded by the rocks so the onlookers didn't see it. Playing w/damn alligators like they're your pet shitzu(sp/hate them lil azz dogs), is just not the thing to do..unless you can speak alligatorish.

Name: DOne
Comment: I'm with Boot and Musb on this. I'm surprised he lived as long as he did. People was acting all shocked and stuff. The man lived the life he loved and died doing it. That's a lot more than most people can say. what's to mourn?

Name: Greg
Comment: How long he lived or how he died isn't the issue. Ras Kass says that if you're not a prt of hip hop you can't judge it. Then why did he bring them in? Before this song, can any of you recall Steve Irwin or his people saying anything about hip hop? He used the tragic death of Steve Irwin as a punch line in rap. If Ras feels "all life is precious" then he should stop writing raps about taking lives!

Name: MER82
Comment: It just isn't appropriate for him to bring up any tragic recent event as a metaphor for his song. While he is on the subject, its tragic to have misogynistic lyrics, and those that refer to black on black violence. How about switch up the "game" and find another way to dis a brother without having to degrade everyone else in the process? Now that would be prolific.

Name: MER82
Comment: And I do remember the Game from that show, he was a scrub.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: It's called politics..hip-hop politics at that. It's no different than politicians ads using 9/11 or even Katrina as a tool. Would there be an issue if he was speaking out against the War? People died there 2 u know.

Name: musbdherbs
Comment: And Irwin was still a nutcase...

Name: YLawdY
Comment: Maybe it's a sign of my advanced age, but I find the whole diss thing just a bit juvenile. Everybody's getting theirs, so grow up and let it go.

Name: YLawdY
Comment: musbdherbs....yes, he was. The only suprise is that he lived as long as he did.

Name: beegirl
Comment: So...it sounds like the point he is trying to make in his letter is: "My whole song was offensive. Why did you find just one thing wrong with it?" Um, yeah. Way to defend yourself, genius.

Name: MER82
Comment: Co-sign bee girl. Steve Irwin died doing what he loved, I pray to be so lucky-if that is considered being a nutcase....I'll be dat.

Name: leeneepoo
Comment: I for one do not know who is Ras Kass but I do know this: he writes very well and I am pretty certain that he did write that letter as it is written(without someone editing it for him). There is education among many rappers, often times people do not think so. Impressive I say...Ras Kass answered Mister question very eloquently. I truly admired his last sentence about all life is precious, valuable no matter what creed or gender. Sadly it was a tragedy how Mr. Irvin died but like Ras Kass said: "why use one line out of all other lyrics and make an issue of it". I can remember an episode of the Boondocks that insinuated that MLK was a Whore...there was some outrage but I do not believe it was to this extent and MLK has been dead for how long.....It is what is.

Name: TesticAl
Comment: LMAO at some of these old people in here. People in here claim to KNOW EVERYTHING about rap, yet they don't know who Ras Kass is. FOR SHAME! LMAO! Stay out of threads like this if you're not in the know. I don't know why people are getting upset about this. Rappers say things like this ALL OF THE TIME! HEll why wasn't there a rant and rave when Joey Jumpoff used Terr Schiavo in a line. What about when Eminem talked about Sonny Bono and Christopher Reeve? Where were y'all then? Catch my drift? This is nothing new in the hip-hop community. Rappers will always talk about current events and controversial things. Go play some "Supremes" or some shyt old people that DON'T know.

Name: trini2dbone
Comment: LOL@Tesical! Let'em know!!

Name: MER82
Comment: Of course people know this Testic-however folks are responding to the topic at hand...

Name: TesticAl
Comment: What up MER82. How's my girl doing! Now, I was responding to the topic at hand too. Read the previous posts and read my post.

Name: Gemami
Comment: TesticAl, I have to agree. Although I'm one of the "old people" who haven't a clue about Ras Kas, I still do not think this is a big deal. As 'Herbs said it's Hip Hop Politics, CNN of the Ghetto. Whatever. It's done all the time. And another Em reference -- how about him doing Elvis -- we all know how sacred Elvis is to white folks.
