Comment: A fundraiser? The state of Israel receives BILLIONS of U. S. tax dollars to power its war machine. I think the holocaust was deplorable, inhumane and all other dreadful adjectives, but look at the horror that they recently heaped upon Lebanon during the latest war. Two soldiers are kidnapped but rather than negotiate their release, you rain bombs all over Lebanon, kill innocent men, women and children and all the while Uncle Sam is in the background smirking with his hand in his pocket. The state of Israel was constructed in 1948 on the backs of uprooted Palestinians. Until, their land (Palestinian) is returned to them, there will NEVER be peace.

Comment: Oprah, can support whatever she chooses, but of course. But eurweb, would have served us much better discussing yesterday's Oprah show than this. Yesterday she had on Cookie and Magic Johnson. They looked all pretty and polished and well-married. Magic kept looking at Cookie as if he could sop her with a biscuit and touching her and thanking her and crediting her. I looked at Cookie with a bit of admiration and a lot of curiosity. There she stood, by her man, looking every bit of "the good wife" whatever that is. But I wondered. Could I have done what Cookie did? Could I have gotten past the adultery and the infection of an incurable disease and my potential infection for the sake of the marriage? HIV is the number one killer of Black Women ages 24-35. A commentary on this would have served us better.

For starters, Oprah is a big humanitarian and it is the right thing to do. Would you same the same thing if it were held in Africa? I bet you wouldn't. People in here make me sick at times just talkin' about shyt with no knowledge. For finishers, THERE WERE BLACK PEOPLE IN THE HOLOCAUST! There weern't as many as whites (we all know this), but there were some. And some of y'all get on me about saying crazy shyt? AIN'T THAT A BICH? LOL!

Comment: My only question is, how can she really relate to the Jewish Holocaust when it doesn't even compare to the African Holocaust which we are still feeling the effects of today? Everybody got reparations for their suffering except for the African slaves. I am so sick of Jewish people pushing the Holocaust down our throats, although any human suffering is bad, but still none compares to the African Holocaust that got us over in the beginning. Oprah has to appease those that are lining her pockets, Jews. Sure she gives and makes all kinds of contributions but she'll never appeal to the modern day plight of black America that's why she won't have Minister Farrakhan on her show. I'm sorry but I'm can't ride the Oprah coat tail.

If some of you wonder why some of us have a problem with Ms. Winfrey here is one example. Here she attends an event to commemorate the horror of the Hitler regime. (Notice I did not use the word Jewish or holocaust. That's a story for another post.) The above tells of Richard Daley’s complicity in the torture and concentration camp for her brothers. Then she shared the stage with a man who is like a modern-day lieutenant of Hitler only not against Jews but against her own. I am not suggestion that she would not be on the same program with Daley at some other event, but considering the blood on his hand for the torture and murder of Black men—not this event! How disgusting! Folk, Oprah Winfrey lacks moral fortitude. Don’t even go there that she did not know Daley would be on the program. Prominent people like her have their people find out the particulars of anything in which they will participate. She p i s s me off.

The Black Halocaust in this country has lasted a helluva lot longer and I'm sick of the Jews shoving their situation down everybody's throat because most blacks could care less. Isreal has already did the guilt trip thing with our govt where billions of dollars are given to that place every year and I resent my hard earned tax dollars going to a place that I have no connection with whatsoever. Let the Jews in this country support Isreal.

Comment: Actually there were German Blacks who perished in the Holocaust, they were never talked about so actually although most are not aware this is a black issue. Anyway The Holocaust and many other situations of ethnic cleansing should be remembered period regardless of who was, the very fact that it can happen to anyone should be enough reason why Oprah would be involved. She is involved in many, many things but she is one person, we all need to be more involved then we won't just be looking at Celebrities to be the voice of our collective moral outrage. Anyone interested, please do look up info on the Black Holocaust victims in Germany, they never got the compensated because it is so few, and so veyr few that even survived to talk about it.

Comment: TesticAl is right. Six thousand of the nine thousand waiting to be executed at the Dachau concentration camp when the Allied forces rolled in were Black. What is more, the commander and unit that led the capture of Dachau were Black (http://www.harvestinstitute.org/winter-2003.pdf page 4). Has Oprah Winfrey interviewed former Lieutenant Colonel Emmett Simmons, he is still alive and easy to find in Los Angeles? Has she featured the incredible book by Dr. Firpo Carr “Germany’s Black Holocaust, 1890 - 1945’? It is easy to find. She has had Wiesel a Jewish scholar and survivor. Why not Simmons and Carr a Black commander/eyewitness/hero and a scholar? Because she is a coward. The Jew don’t want this information known. Why else would the Jews (Spielberg and company) have whites as the heroes at Dachau in “Saving Private Ryan”?

If my memory isn't faulty, it seems that Dr. Carr said in his book that Hitler's greatest hatred was towards Afro-Germans or Jehovah's Witnesses (who he called white n...). That means the Jews were third most hated by Hitler the part Jew. The only reason he murdered more Jews than Black Germans and Jehovah's Witnesses is because there were more of them. Therefore a better name is Hitler's Massacres or something to that effect.

Comment: Yes, there were Black Germans captured by the Nazi and placed into concentration camps. One Afro-German youth here in the 60's who was unfortunately killed on a motorcycle was the offspring of a white German mother and black father. His name was Martin David Orrid. He spoke of being saved from the holocaust by American troops. God Bless you in heaven, Martin David or Junior as you were called on the northside of Indianapolis.

Comment: Oprah can only do one thing at a time. Look at all the money she put into the school in South Africa for those little girls. That was you dont hear about too many people doing (hell, who have you heard do something like that?). I do admit she has her issues, but Damn! she's not perfect, she can't be everything to everybody. She did one thing for the holocaust--she spoke. You dont hear of any money she gave them, do you. Okay, she had this Ellie fellow on her show and promoted his book. Look at how many other books and people she's had on her show. Ya'll need to get off of Oprah's back.

However, there is only so much criticism we can levy at this sista. It's not like she has not been generous with her own people. Oprah is not going to do anything that will rub the dominate culture (white people) the wrong way. Playing it safe by donating money to colleges, children in South Africa, helping some poor family in Chicago is not exactly what one would consider threatening to the powers that be. No one throughtout our years inthe country has been able to ride the fence the way she has. She will always look out for the best interest of her "massa".

Comment: Heeey, my EUR crew, happy Monday. I know this subject is off topic but it is of utmost urgency. There is a Breast Cancer site that funds free mammograms to underpriviledged women when participants go there and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free; and it doesn't cost you anything to do this because corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily clicks to donate mammograms in exchange for advertising. The problem is that they are having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota. PLEASE, people, will you put the site address into your favorites/book marks and go click daily for these unfortunate women? The address is: www.thebreastcancersite.com. Just last week over on the Oprah board BOOT was commenting that Aids was the #1 killer of women in the age group that he likes; and Cancer ain't no joke either because it's right up there with Aids.
