If she was sincere in her quest for answers there was a more appropriate time and way to do it. I know I'm going to receive flack on this, but one of the biggest problem I have with church is many of the pastors unwillingness to answer questions or address issues that their congregations are dealing with on a day-to-day basis...lust being one of them and/or how to handle it as a child of GOD. I'm just remembering my experiences from church. When certain questions were brought up in bible study, some folks excused the person asking the question of being blasphemous. And many of them were out there committing the same type of sin the person was asking about. Too much hyprocrisy going on for me.

2. There is a time and place for everything. the article make it seems as though Brandy and her crew pulled up, ran inside, and immediately started acting up. Is that how it really happened or did they go inside peacefully, sat and joined in the discussion but started asking difficult questions that made people uncomfortable then things got ugly? I grew up in the Church and one thing I noticed about Bible study is that there are the "safe" questions and the "don't you dare go there" questions. For example, since I was always taught that jealousy is a fault, but since the Bible says that God is perfect and that he is also a jeolous God, I asked how can he be both jeolous and perfect if jeolosy is a bad thing. I almost got a wripping for that lol

There is no written rule that says all Black people are required to be Christians, simply because the religion embraced (although forced on our ancestors) by so many. By the same token, if you choose to follow another thought, faith, philosophy or whatever you call it, that does not give you the right to go challenge someone else's belief. Comment: I doubt that this story is true. Big head and all, Brandy was properly reared and has always been respectful. It is hard for me to believe that she would go on to Holy Ground and disrespect the Lord's house in such a way. The only thing Brandy has ever done in over a decade of public attention (and scrutiny) is have sex and make a baby. I am curious as to how she got into Scientology. When oh when will we stop jumping on white folks religious bandwagons? Did we learn nothing from Europeans when they went to the Motherland with shackles in one hand and a Bible in the other. There is something not "quite right" about scientology. I haven't heard Katie Holmes speak in over a year since she rebuked her faith and took up Tom's cross.

Comment: The story is pretty much true except for Brandy was not actually in the "fighting" part. She and friends were there challenging the church on God and his existence etc... Someone with her was part of a "tustle" of some sort. My husband's professor is a member at F.A.M.E. He was there the night of the incident and mentioned it in class the next day (before it actually made major headlines). I think some parts of the story in the media have been exaggerated, however, some parts are very true. Brandy is a lost soul and she doesn't even realize that in her quest to prove that there is no God, she is really searching for Him. my 2 cents...
