Comment: Sounds a little suspect to me. If it was all about making a payment plan it never would have gotten this far in the first place. Snipes would not be the first one to go to jail for tax fraud and evasion. I'm sure Ronald Isley would have preferred to set up a payment plan as well.

Comment: Teigh>>>I was thinking the same thing. Couldn't they have done this with Ronald Isley? The amount he owed was a lot less than what Wesley owed.

Comment: Perhaps there's more to the story than what's being reported. Obviously the evidence wasn't as strong as the gov't thought.

Comment: FREE MR. BIGGS!

Name: Ho_Lee_Mackeral
Comment: "FREE MR. BIGGS!" Well He put on a very concerted effort to evade, duck, dodge, elude....etc. PAYING his freeking taxes. Even to the point of knowling cashing his late brother's royalty checques and his brother's been deceased for over 10 years. So the amount he attempted ( notice the term) to hide was not the issue but the efforts made really pizzed off good ole Uncle Sam's "Enforcers"/I.R.S.

Comment: So Wesley's dusty black azz won't be going to jail after all...Lucky for him...He better make sure that he keeps up with those payments cause if he misses one they can lock his azz up... I'm sure that dinosaur Mr. Biggs wishes he could have been put on a payment plan as well but I guess the fact that he was cashing his dead brother's checks had a lot to do with his jail sentence...

Comment: Plus the fact that it wasn't Mr. Biggs first run in with the IRS.

Name: rayne
Comment: I'm sure the IRS gave Ron Isley the option of making payment arrangements too. Hopefully Wesley will make sure IRS get theirs.

Comment: How much money do they pay you if your movies go direct to DVD? This is going to be a loooong payment plan...Oh well, on to other entertainment news...

Name: TinayPretty
Comment: Not everyone gets the option for a payment plan. From what I read, Ron mucked up so much, they had no choice but 2 lock his asz up!!! Its obvious that with Wesley, no purposeful malicia was found, especially because he had a service doing his taxes!!! I think that really made a difference. He is going to be paying these taxes 4EVAH!!!!!

Comment: Mr. Biggs case was a little more different. The IRS wants their money so they will basically work out a payment plan with anybody.....but don't miss those payments.

Name: archcookies
Comment: I have no sympathy for this turncoat/saleout.

Name: archcookies
Comment: >rayne don't worry if he don't keep up the payments, SAM will levy against all of his %*$ets, they will get theirs and once you make a payment you have to follow through, they can attach your savings/checking accounts and any %*$ets that you have including saling of cars/boats etc. You don't play with the IRS.

Name: Teigh
Comment: Turst me archcookies>Wesley has liens on anything with his name on it. They do not wait for you to miss a payment to do that. Usually they start out with a lien, so Wesley's situation is way past that -- plus the story also say's he is surrendering, it sounds like the IRS was about to lock Wesley up too -- and why no major press on this direct to video movie? I honestly think brother has no intention of dealing with this and the IRS knew he left the country so they put him on blast.

Comment: Good for Snipes. I am happy that it worked out for him. He is a really good actor.

Comment: So dayum, what kinda payment plan is that? *me talking to the IRS* Ummm, what's the LEAST amount that I can pay to keep me out of jail??? $20 per month??? *IRS* Ma'am, we can't accept a payment for that amount *me* $25 per month???? LOL Dayum, I'd be still paying that back in the after life!!! LOL

Name: GoGo
Comment: Wesley Snipes should not have to pay any taxes of any form in Amerikkka. Any black person whose great-great-great-great-great-great down to great-great grand parents were slaves should be paid raparations of around $50,000 a month tax free for life, and they should be given land, free health care, and free educations at the schools of their choosing. Then perhaps this country will begin to heal. Keep your money and stay in African Wesley. You'll be much happier there.
