Comment: He is blunt, but why was he weak-kneed in the excerpt where he said, "[whites]privately covet what they say we already possess?" He didn't say we have 'it', but they say we have 'it'. He should have been blunt on this issue and said, 'White men covet our big penises'. He is weak on this like many highly-educated Black men and women who call it a myth. Those who call it a myth readily admit Black folk, in general, have thicker lips, broader noses, and bigger butts. If we are bigger in those areas, then it doesn't defy logic that we also have bigger penises. The Bible is much franker than Wooten. (How most professed Christians became so prudish i don't know because the Bible is far from prudish.) It confirms that Black men have big penises at Ezekiel 16:26: "And you went prostituting yourself to the sons of Egypt, your neighbors great of flesh." Ezekiel 23:19,20: "She prostituted herself in the land of Egypt. 20 And she kept lusting in the style of concubines belonging to those whose fleshly member is as the fleshly member of male %*$es and whose genital organ is as the genital organ of male horses." (http://www.watchtower.org/bible/index.htm) I'm tired of mealy-mouthed Negroes, and; overall, it seems that Wooten is pretty straightforward, so i might buy his books.

Comment: I did not even read this story and really do not plan to read the book. I can tell this is just an attempt to sell some books (which I hope does not happen). What a stupid premise. You know someone has nothing to talk about if they have to use race as a factor in it. For example comedians that don't have jokes unless they joke about other races, that means you have no talent to me.

Comment: This book is waste of time and energy. I'm more interested in learning about how black men can be leaders in their community, strong, committed husbands in their families, business owners, educators of their children and agents for change. Too much emphasis is placed on their bedroom skills. That is one of the reasons why black men are so marginalized in society today.

Comment: I, for one, plan on purchasing this book. If you all would read, you may realize that what you THOUGHT the book was about, is not ALL that it is about. I don't understand some of the posts that people make sometimes. It makes me question if you can really read or if what you have read registers. Obviously it doesn't or you all wouldn't post such ignorant comments.

Comment: The title brings to mind several tired quips such as "it ain't the size of the ship, it's the motion of the ocean". While the title is an attention grabber, according to the posting, far more serious issues are discussed in the book. How come the title doesn't tie into those serious issues? Was there a concern that the book would not sell? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Comment: Of course that is not all the book is about, but who gives a damn about how many white males Halle Berry is linked to on screen? It's just a provocative title and a rehash of issues that have been discussed before. Nothing new here and it will not sell. Perhaps the author needs to look for yet another job.

Comment: Scratchin' my head on this one.....if someone gave it to me, I might check it out.....Whatdat~have you considered that the bible was talking more of the Egyptians sprituality, rather than the size of their Johnsons'? Fleshly means carnal, not spiritual, so to me the reading of that verse is far different than your interpretation.

Comment: Jusrite1, why do you read selectively? Ezek. 23:20 makes it clear what is meant by "fleshly member" when it says "genital organ". Also, it is not an interpretation. It is speaking figuratively or spiritually, but if you read the accounts you will understand that they are based on literal actions just like Jesus parables were not literal but were based on things of which his audiences had common knowledge (i.e., literal occurrences). Besides, the context mentions Israel's adultery with other nations but in speaking of others nations it doesn't talk about the size of the genital organ. Why only for the Egptians? For other posters, no this is not the focus of the volumes, but it does deal with the topic. It deals with the topic of penis envy because it has a lot to do with why the Black man is the foremost target of racism by the foremost proponents of it--white men. Penis envy is such an issue with white men "60 Minutes" did a piece on it about men paying big money to have the spongy erectile tissue from dead men implanted in their penises. Folk, this drives a lot of the hatred white men have towards us and has much too do with the theme of the volumes about why they strive so diligently to keep us down. He knows that white women prefer us to him, so he has to be like that because what female group would want him if he did not make his women think we were most disgusting?

Comment: Unfortunately, many black men have brought into the myth that size defines them and their manhood. As a result, others are succeeding in academia, business, the global economy, building strong, thriving communities while they lag behind. If that's all you have going for you at the end of the day, that's pretty pathetic. Who in their right mind would envy that?

Comment: Gingerg, do you comprehend how profound the question is that you posed? Despite all that white men have done to keep our sexual prowess concealed from his women, they haven't managed to. Although his women could see our muscularity, he worked overtime to keep them from seeing our athleticism but failed in that too. (This is not insignificant because they claimed we were also physically inferior.) Basically, the only other 'advantage' they have with which to impress their women is intelligence. So they are straining with all their muscles to shield white women eyes from seeing our prodigious intelligence and business acumen. "Who in their right mind would envy that?" That's the point. Envy has driven the white man out of his mind. He doesn't just envy our sexuality; he envies all that we are. He knows how intelligent we are--we built ancient Egypt. If we ascend to the position that we are so capable of intellectually, what woman would want him? Gingerg, think about it and you will see why he keeps everything topsy turvy. At all cost the Black man MUST be kept down, else the white man loses his place of prominence and his women.

Comment: Yes, black men are intelligent. However, look at your overall sitaution. You're not dominating in anything other than sports, even though you are clearly capable of so much more. If you're doing so well, why was there a need for the Million Man Movement and why do we have ongoing problems with health care disparities, black-on-black crime, struggling black businesses and so much more?

Please read into it that things like this along with other crap is MAN STUFF & black men are no different from any other group of men! I personally have less problems with this DYCK MYTH CRAP than I do with brothas & sistas NOT VOTING or NOT GETTING A PROPER EDUCATION or NOT RAISING OUR OWN KIDS SO THAT MADONNA & OTHER WHITE FOLKS WON'T HAVE TO DO IT FOR US! Also, sistas and other women pride themselves on their bodies and making themselves appealing to men because of traditional myths as well so how is that any different from or better?!

Comment: It is amazing that in a country that the White man stole from the Native Americans who were already here, and where they have most of the power and own and run almost eeverything (ALL of our presidents have been white males, as have over 99% of senators, governors and congressmen as well as heads of Fortune 500 countries and of the Forbes list of wealthiest Americans) they STILL envy the Black man's sexuality. But this needs to be more their issue than ours.
