Comment: When Kanye first broke, I thought (and still do) he added a unique element to hip hop. He was so humble. I remember he showed up 2 hours late to an Usher show -- just went way beyond to get there and be professional....fast forward... I think he is the biggest tantrum throwing "diva" on the scene (women included). There is nothing unique or groundbreaking about the "Touch The Sky" video and how dare he think because he "spent 1mil and got Pamela Anderson" that he deserved an award. It's typical seventies video and if anyone remembers the video for "Walk On By" from the movie Dead Presidents -- same feel, just a different location and plot. For the 1 mil Jay gave Kanye, at least 3 other Dej Jam artist could have gotten some promotional push! (or maybe Kanye spent his own money and that's why he's whining)

Comment: I just read an article from a British newspaper that said that Kanye admitted to having too much "sippy" before and after the show. Supposedly, this "sippy" was the reason for him acting a fool!

And oh by the way, isn't it late in the game for him to even say that? I could see when he would say certain things to get his just due, but by now, the man has made it. He realy should have no complaints and should thank his blessings.
It cost a mill, so what? Didnt that video come out in Jan 06? LOL. How long ago was that? And why is it so important for him to get recognition for it? Is that the only reason he did the video? To get applause for it? I think when he had that accident his head got shoook too hard. He done bumped his head one too many times and it shows. That plus his Supersized Ego and Arrogance is a real turn off even to the average passerby. He needs to get his priorities straight. I heard his PHd parents are the same way from some Chicago peeps.

I don't think it was a prank because I don't see why he wouldn't have told the press directly after the show that it was a joke instead of continuing to vent to the world media. I just think that now that he has acted a fool for the second time over an award, someone is trying to spin it. His reps probably declined to comment until they and West could cook up the best story. Someone should ask the winning band for the truth.

Comment: I actually watched the whole program, and it was most definitely a prank. You can tell by the look on his face, as well as the group that won. I think he even congratulated them. And anyone who watched the show(and any European award show), there were jokes running amuk through the whole show. I even enjoyed seeing this one skit where they were clowning Madonna, for her baby purchasing stint(it was hilarious). There was like a bunch of little people, dressed up like babies. And the guy said something like, "See these babies, I bought them on Ebay. So they're my E-baybies(you had to watch the program to really get the feel of the joke). Anyway,this Kanye thing isn't that serious, and it was joke. Which goes to prove, that the guy does have a sense of humor.

Comment: if it was a prank, why didnt anyone from Kanye to his record company to his manager come out and say that? Kanye said he had too much to drink on Friday. Now there is another reason/excuse? If in fact it was a prank (anything is possible) why would he allow himself to be played like that. They gave him the rope to hang his self. I thought he was smarter than that. At the end of the day, its not really that serious, its only entertainment.
